The reason for not working of firefox sync was: like show, I had toe install fire on both devices first. Then. When I wanted to sync. I got two diffent codes on both the machine. So how could I fill in de code for sync on both my phone and pc when they were allready filled in. No I get the answere that Ik cant use sync no more for reasons Im not quillty ot doing? Neither did I change the key. I never even knew I had one. Better to use chrome? Perhaps?

I had to reinstall windows, but before doing it i specifically checked if i was logged in with my firefox account and if sync options was on. after i reinstalled latest version of firefox and loged in, nothing happened! im logged in but there is nothing of my data!

I'm just trying to keep on top of my electronic security.

I would like to be able to see a list of all the devices that are authorized to synchronize with the Firefox Sync. I want to make sure that no other devices have been set up to sync that I am unaware of. While I understand the process of adding a device is relatively secure, it does not prevent someone with local access to a machine to set up a device I do not know of in my absence. I don't anticipate this has occurred, but would like to check to be sure.

Does such a feature exist? either how many devices are authorized, or what date devices were added, or by a history according to IP address of successfully authorized synching operations?

If such a feature does not exist, it would be simple to implement it and I would greatly encourage a feature to be made available.

Was not able to retrieve all my passwords, bookmarks, add-on and others. When it was retrieving, I mistakenly pressed on the "sync now". How can I retrieve all those things?

I am setting up syncing between a few computers and I am wondering if syncing passwords is safe.

It is my understanding that when syncing passwords, they are first decrypted using the master password, then encrypted using the Sync key and sent on the server. After retrieving them on another device they are decrypted using the Sync key and then encrypted using the master password of that device. So they are not saved in clear text anywhere and it would appear that they are safe against someone getting access to any of my devices or to the sync server.

However, I see one possible way of getting the passwords. Let's suppose someone gets access to one of my devices. Then, they can go to the Sync tab in the Options and click on Pair a device. Using a device of their own, without a master password (or with their own), they get device syncing code and enter it on my device. Then, on their device, they have access to my passwords.

Am I right? Is such a thing possible? Wouldn't it be better to use the same master password on all devices to make such an attack impossible?

The first time I setup sync I selected to only sync my bookmarks - nothing else, but immediately it is listing my desktop tabs on my Android phone under "synced tabs".

I really want only bookmarks to pass to my mobile and no other data browser data. How can I ensure that?

When I got my laptop a month a few weeks ago I successfully synced it with my desktop. Since I have updated my desktop bookmarks. I am going on vacation and tried to update my sync so my laptop has all my new bookmarks from my desktop. It wasn't working so I tried via my desktop and now i just synced with my laptop and my desktop has all my old book marks. I need to recoup my bookmarks from 4/9/13. Can you please help!!!

FireFox 16.0.2 has been very sluggish and majority of websites you visit with FF just hangs and freezes, it may become back responsive after a few minutes, but this happens very frequently and I don't think it is specific to Flash as it does this with sites that do not use Flash

When you click on a link FireFox freezes completely then returns to normal after a 30 seconds to a minute. 4 of my coworkers experience the same problem and they use different machines.

I have to force stop the application.

I have Firefox 16.0.1, and as of lately, it's become too unbearably slow for me to continue using it. Even when typing this message, at certain points it will lag. When switching to new tabs or clicking links, it lags HORRIBLY. At least 4-5 seconds of wait time. And now it's started to screw up my enjoyment of YouTube videos by lagging when scrolling down the page (as it does with other sites) and lagging the video itself. I've tried the reset feature. That did absolutely nothing for me.

The only add-ons that I have are AdBlock Plus 2.1.2 and the FTDeepDark 4.8.3 theme. And I've already tried disabling (even removing) them to no avail.

What must I do for Firefox to run properly and quickly? I've been a huge fan up until now, and I'm seriously fed up with it. I have a very quick laptop (Win7, i7920XM, 8 gigs of DDR3, 256GB SSD, dual 5870 GPUs, etc.), and Firefox has always run great up until the past few month.s

Trying to set up Firefox Sync on my PC. I have entered the device pairing details shown on my Android device. I have given my username and password, and had forgotten my Recovery Key. I generated a new one from the same window, and provided the details At thisd point of time the 'Next' button gets enabled, but clicking on it does nothing!

PC OS: Windows 7 Firefox for Windows version: 20.0

How do I get ride of the dreadful CONDUIT SEARCH which has colonised my Firefox search like computer Herpes? I have tried a few of the replies but nothing has helped - it appears nowhere on any program list and even the following didn't do the trick :-

1. Open Firefox 2. On the address bar, type – about:config in the URL. Press Enter. 3. You will be warned about Warranty. Click on “I’ll be careful…”

4. On the Filter dialog box type – search.conduit 5. It will display all related entries. Right-click on Preferences Name and Reset. It worked for me, after trying a dozen of "fake" solutions. ;)

I'm using Firefox 20 on Linux Desktop and Nexus 4. I rarely close the browser on my desktop and keep unread tabs, but something that irritates me is that whenever I send a tab from my phone, it never opens up unless I manually sync. I tried various solutions to adjust sync interval, but it doesn't work.

How do I adjust the sync interval so that it's quick? I won't mind running my own sync server if mozilla sync services won't permit high sync rate.

After trying out a little utility, I got stuck with the Babylon toolbar and home page.... Yes... I didn't spot the little checkpoint to disable installation... Without any problems, I managed to remove all that... But since then, I can't get my home page to stay set to about:blank.... it keeps starting with the Google search page. I did manage to link the homepage button to about:blank, but when I add a new page (by clicking the + next to the most right tab) I keep getting the Google search page... Thanks in advance. Lody J. On some websites (eBay for example) you have to enter a verification code (to avoid spam messages) to be able to send email to a seller. When I do that in Firefox the website won´t accept my enter and asks me to enter the code (a new one) again. When I execute exactly the same procedure in Internet Explorer there are no such problems. (Firefox ver 16.02.4680. IE ver 8.0.6001.18702.) What shall I do to be able to use Firefox in the same way as IE? Best regards Rolf Bergquist

  I know how to use Sync on two different computers and a mobile device, but how can I Sync two or more different versions of Firefox (Nightly, Beta, Aurora, Release Candidate)? I can't get the code from the other computer/firefox because I can only have one version of Firefox open at the same time. I tried it. This is my setup. I have a different Profile for each version of Firefox I have. I also have each version of Firefox installed in a different directory, for example:

Nightly - C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Nightly\

Aurora - C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Aurora\

Beta - C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Beta\

Release Candidate - C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Release Candidate\

and my Profiles are in my

Is there any way to access a screen that shows or lists all the devices that you have previously synched to your Firefox Sync account? (desktops, laptops, + mobile devices)

I have been looking through the documentation for the weave server and have found no way to modify how much history is kept the whole purpose of using the home server was so that i could put a enormous quota and save every thing securely and privatly. 60 days is a joke as I have to come back to projects a year or 3 later and have 200 or so tabs open daily across 4 browser windows per pc i use. I use seperate profiles for seprate aspects of life... ex hobbies vs coding vs work. each gets its own profile and sync account so that when i work on multiple systems or have to redo pc's its much easier to keep things sorted out.

I had to reinstall my personal computer, I made SYNC with e-mail and password, but there wasn't key. It's my first time, it says "complete", I thought everything is ok. I did the install and now I see I need some key?!?! Did I lost all my information? HELP!!!
