I want English as default language (FireFox for Mac) Preferences / Content / Choose a language It is set to English Yet on Googling it appears to be Polish

How do I change that ?

Whenever I start Firefox I get the following message:

"Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. You can try: "Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem "Starting an entirely new browsing session"

Problem persists when relaunching FF in safe mode. Problem is temporarily solved by resetting FF, but repeats and persists after navigating to any page (such as wikipedia.org), closing all tabs, quitting FF, and relaunching FF. FF pref "When FF Starts" is set to home page by default, and FF home page is set to Mozilla FF start page by default. Changing this pref "Show Blank Page" has no effect on the behavior.

Mac OS System Pref "Close windows when quitting an app" is ticked (by default). Unticking this box does not change this FF error.

2011 13" MacBook Pro Mac OS 10.8.3 Mountain Lion Firefox 20.0

I set it to print URL and Title at top of the page, and Date at the bottom of the page. It attempts to do this but the print is verrry small and 1/2 off the page.

Works fine with Google Chrome.

New WF 2540 printer, test page is good. Mac 10X

My Imac is version 10.8 snow leopard. I tried to import bookmarks from Safari to Firefox but import data from another browser is greyed out, even though private browsing is turned off. I also created an .html file for my bookmarks no problem but when I import this file to firefox, no bookmarks appear. I checked the file in a plain text editor for any folded files but none existed. Can anyone help me solve this problem. It seems the easiest solution would be if the IMPORT DATA FROM ANOTHER BROWSER button was functional. thanks.

I am having trouble with my Mac Menu Bar. Firefox is not in Full Screen mode, and the Menu Bar is visible, but it is not registering Firefox as being the current program, causing me to loose things such as "Bookmarks" and "History" or even "Force Quit". Does anyone know how to fix this?

My old Sony VIAO died and I now have a new IMAC. The old XP files are on the new hard drive but I do not know how to or if I can access my old Mozilla bookmarks on the Windows XP files. Hope I can because they are important to me.

I have a very simple version of Yahoo mail and would like to revert back to my original with all the bells and whistles. I was asked to do this when at a remote hotel and the internet connection was poor. Now I 'd like to reverse this.

I installed the Copy Text to File add-on, didn't like it, removed -- now whenever I copy text, I still get the "ghosts", the box that says "loading", the little magnifying glass, etc. It's quite annoying. I thought the add-on would be useful, but I frequently need to copy text without saving it to a file, and there's no option for that. So I'd like to get rid of it, as the pop-up stuff overlays the text on the screen and gets in the way as I'm reading.

I was in a private window, and downloaded a video to my desktop. Now every time I open a new private browsing window or a non private window, I receive two copies of the same video to my desktop. It happens when I start a new subsequent window.

I am repeatedly reminded to update to firefox 20.0. When the update window pops up, I choose the update button and then nothing happens. The download progress bar sits there looking like it is stuck on a glitch, all the while the progress statement below says, "connecting to the update server..."

This happens every time...

not to mention the fact that FF has been SUPER slow at times and glitchy in its current version.

What should I do? I would rather not dump the aplication and start over without any of the settings I have spent time saving.

Give me a reason not to use a different browser, please.

Using Career Websites such as Directv, Boeing or Northrop Grumman, Firefox JUST DOES NOT WORK. I can select the elements required for a job search and their sites do nothing BUT go to Safari and all works as expected. Seriously - enter the minimal required information and click search and these web pages do nothing but just the opposite in Safari. I am temporarily using Safari unless I get an answer.

Have search all over web and tried every solution I could find; explored addons, restored, even reinstalled 19.0 but I am still unable! It is very frustrating. Would appreciate suggestions (never thought I'd say this but Safari is looking good!). Thank you.

I installed Mountain Lion about 6 weeks ago and the transition was very smooth, except that the blogs I subscribed to via RSS feed disappeared from iMail and I can no longer use the RSS feed option to subscribe to blog pages. I get a message saying 'No associated application could be found'. Help!

I am using firefox on both my macs (on is running mountain lion and the other snow leopard. It is annoying that in any fields typing only works upon the first click or ->tab on the field, when I click - for example mid sentence to delete a letter (for example) it does not type and the mac sounds the sound effect of "thump" - when you are trying to type in a non-field. The issue is resolved for that instance when I click into a different field (can be the same tab - for example I am typing into the ebay search tab - click on it a second time (thump - no typing) then click in the address bar, now back to the search - now carefully press the arrow howevermany times I need to get to the desired position or just retype the search string - mightily irritating. Same happens in emails, messages... any field! I really like firefox, after a run in with opera, some trouble with safari (tab support)... it was my favourite, with cross computer spaces... I hope this gets resolved soon.

I've disabled all add ons except Foxtab 1.4.9 to no avail. The problem goes away when Foxtab is disabled. But I prefer Foxtab to Safari version. Interesting discovery: everything is fine - I can type merrily along - as I am here - until I click my mouse. Then the problem occurs. I have to go to another text box, type some stuff then come back. Both my Apple computers are experiencing the same problem. Both have wireless mac mice. Both started the same problem about 3 months ago. Not using my mouse gets round the problem but it's a pain because I am often cutting and pasting text into a text box. Any ideas?

I contacted the extension developers as directed at the beginning of the month, but no response. Where do i go to see where the issue is being looked at, or will I be contacted.
