I have tried unistalling and reinstalling but Firefox crashes several time a week.
I have the latest version of Firefox that crashes almost daily. The restore works but it is a pain to have this constantly happening.

Within the last couple days, Firefox has had a lot of problems.
When I open it, the window hangs and freezes after a few seconds, if it opens at all. Other times, trying to open Firefox simply won't open the window, but will leave an extra process running in the background that I have to manually shut down via Task Manager.
I have made a fresh profile. I have restarted Firefox. I previously had hardware acceleration checked, and disabled it; still having the same problem. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox multiple times. I have run a scan of my system with Malwarebytes; nothing detected. It's not even generating a crash log. I have looked through the support forums, found people with problems similar to mine, but no solutions posted for them since sometime last month.
Firefox seems to run normally if do an install of version 21, which opens up the browser window. Everything works fine, until I close the browser and then re-open it.
Search engines not available, except in "Run as Administrator" mode; deleting parent.lock file from profiles hasn't helped

If I right-click on the FF icon, and choose the "run as administrator " option, the search engines are there again. I tried deleting the parent.lock file from the profiles folder, as this solution had solved a problem I'd had recently with the previous version of FF (not being able to open FF, and getting the error message about another version of it running, which had to be closed first - but there was no other version running. In that case, too, before finding out about the solution, I was able to open FF by using the "run as administrator" option). However deleting the parent.lock file didn't solve this problem.
I'd be grateful for your help, especially if put in simple terms a not hugely computer-literate person like myself can understand!

I just upgraded Firefox for windows to version 21.0 After upgrading, when I enter a subject to search in the search box (in the middle of the page) of the Mozilla Start page and press enter nothing happens. It doesn't bring in any search results. The only way to navigate using the browser is to enter the website name in the address box at the top of the page and press enter. I'm running the browser for Windows Vista - 32 bits. I tried re-installing firefox and I got the same result. I also tried re-booting after installation and it still behaves the same way.

I have to everyother time re-send the email. Because nothing happens, when I send it, it appears, or it gets frozen up & just has the mouse rotating blue in color. I then have to wait 5 mins+ to resend the email. And then I see that it has sent 2 emails to the same address. It may work normal for 2 or 3 times in a row, then it does this for a few times with other emails... Its very inconsistent ! I don't have this happen with IE.
Also if I copy & paste a link from any website, only with Firefox does this happen. I do not see it highlighted. So whoever receives my email msg has to copy & paste it into the address bar, & hit enter, when they receive my email. When using Internet Explorer I do not have this going on. It is highlighted for me.. What's with this ? This is only an issue with Firefox, I don't have this with Chrome or Opera, or Internet Explorer, but prefer to use Firefox.

For the last two days, when I launch Words with Friends in Facebook using Firefox, a small window opens stating "Trouble Connecting to Facebook. It seems we're experiencing problems connecting to Facebook. Please refresh and try again." Refresh does not change the condition. If I access using Internet Explorer, I experience no problems.

I uninstalled the program and re-installed it and yesterday it was working but now again the icon, or clicking on other icons driven by firefox or clicking on firefox in the program menu does nothing. Just nothing happens. My desktop here runs on Windows 7. Safari works OK. Thank you.

My popup blocker is off. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I reset Firefox. There's no bar showing saying that anything was blocked. It's just nothing at all.

When I try to open a clip I get the error message "VLC is unable to open the MRL" I have followed the suggestions regarding changing Windows Firewall settings and have even switched this off to no effect. I have No-Script installed which I have to click on before the clip will play could this possibly be causing the issue Many thanks Nick
