I am having constant problems with Firefox crashing. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, removing my profile and completely starting from scratch but to no avail. The problem got really bad today to the point that Firefox is unusable, but I have had intermittent crashes over the past few weeks.

I have also tried installing old version back to 10.0, which is the oldest I have files for.

As has been asked for in other threads I am including some recent crash reports:

Using Firefox 21.0 in Windows 8. Everything is set and updated as it should be, but when I open a new browser session it retains all the tabs and history from the previous session. Pressing the home button will open my selected home tabs.

Each time I log into the internet (Google) a [JavaScript Application] box pops us indicating "Error: TypeError: boxOverlay_AVG is null".

Not sure what's going on?

I do notice that I am unable to print certain pages from internet sites.

My sincerest apologies if this double posts! The first time I attempted to send, it claimed I didn't have permission to access the page.

Anyway, I've recently upgraded from Firefox 14 (portable) to Firefox 19 (also portable), and noticed that the way Fx19 handles partially loaded images is much different. I don't know if this is a setting (I've looked and found nothing) or if it's a quirk of the browser, but I need the functionality that it used to have in order to properly use the internet with the speed of connection I have. So, I'm hoping someone can help me figure out a way to make Firefox 19 behave as 14 did.

In Fx14, and the way I need it to behave, when I stopped a page that was loading, images froze how they were -- even if they weren't fully loaded. So I'd have a partial piece of some images, a frozen frame on some gifs, but enough to figure out what I was looking at and whether I wanted to right click > reload image to see the full thing or scroll on past and save my bandwidth and time. (Since I view image-heavy sites such as tumblr, this is actually quite necessary for me!)

Now, if I stop a page while it's loading, any images that aren't fully loaded blink out of existence and become empty boxes. This is completely useless to me and very frustrating. But I'd greatly prefer if there's an extension or setting or about:config trick in there somewhere to bring back the old functionality. (To me, it almost seems like it might be a bug, that it's turning so many things into placeholders now.) I'd rather not have to downgrade just to get this important feature back, especially since Firefox 19 runs far more smoothly than Firefox 14 did, but it's something that I can't do without due to how I browse the internet.

firefox was workign fine yesterday, i closed it, went to lunch, came back to open it and nothing. restarted PC, opened mozilla and it worked fine. tried to close and open it again to see if i could replicate the problem and it wont open. uninstalled and re installed opened it first time works fine. open the 2nd time and it freezes. above the address bar it has a message saying mozilla firefox (not responding) anyone got any ideas? running windows 7 incase that helps

This seems to be a common problem that I can't fix with Java or Flash updates. And I don't have Norton Anti-Virus to turn off. I'm on Windows 7.

Firefox frequently crashes when I close it, or when I close a tab, or even sometimes when it gets stuck in bookmarks, strangely. Here are the recent crash reports - from the last 2 weeks:

I realize there was some huge Java exploitation a few months ago, but I had hoped the upgrades would fix things. I suspect it's crashing b/c some malware is still working on the tab or window I'm trying to close. I use Spybot and MWB to try to keep the browser protected.

Any ideas?

Anything I print that is not from the Internet or email is fine. Any and all saved documents etc print as they always have. But suddenly anything from the Internet or any emails that I print are so small I can hardly read them.

This just started today. No change in add-ons or plug-ins. Any Yahoo page causes CPU to go to 100% and Firefox freezes / becomes unresponsive. I found many references to this same problem through previous generations with no clear explanation.

Updated to Firefox 21. No improvement. No similar problems on any other web sites. Why are the Yahoo pages problematic?

I have the same problem as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/881844 but with fx 21.

Firefox 21 on Ubuntu 13.04 stops loading pages after a while, ranging from less than an hour to a day, of regular browsing. It gets stuck on "looked up whatever.com" or "connecting to..." message. Restarting the browser makes it work for another period.

Changing network.http.max-connections did not help, clearing various history items (cookies, cache, ..., or everything except saved passwords) did not help.

I now disabled ipv6 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can?#w_ipv6 and prefetching but the fact that the problem occurs after several hours makes it hard to test.

I have tried all your users' documented possible fixes for removing the Babylon search engine. I.e. Firefox browser defaults to Babylon regardless of what I do or try. I need to speak directly with someone from Firefox!

Every time when I start Firefox (FF) I receive a message about opening an application/octet-stream. Asking whether I want to open it or save it. If I don't respond (which is what I do) a few moment later I receive a message about not being able te save a file. If I respond to this with [OK] both messages disapear and I can go on using FF. These messages don't limit FF. Or make it impossible to work with FF. They are just annoying. How can I prevent these messages from still appearing?

the above targeted ad comes to every page even in firefox.com how this comes and how to fix

Firefox suddenly has become very slow. It takes too much time to load all websites and even the typed words and scrolling has a great delay in appearing. It becomes unresponsive very often. I tried reinstalling it and even reset it. Its becoming a pain to use this to surf the net. Please do help!!

The People tab: When opening People contact list they didn't appears correct, I should magnifier the contact list otherwise I can't read them at all. But in Chrome everything ok

Firefox upgraded itself on the weekend. I have been visiting blogs through the Bloggers' Quilt Festival, which I'm participating in. I tried to leave comments but on the blogspot and blogger blogs was not able to. This morning I saw a bunch of extra thumbnail windows open in Firefox so I closed them, but now the whole of Firefox has shut on me. I can see two or three thumbnails and have a screenshot but I can't actually get them to open. I saw the advice about starting Firefox in safe mode but that doesn't work from the thumbnails. Really need help asap because I work from home and work depends on easy fast access that I depend on Firefox for

Ok, so I'm encountering a problem. most of the time when I click on a link from an email or from maunually typing in an address, it will go to open the page in firefox, go thru the loading process, then not display anything but a white screen. Sometimes, Ill leave it alone for a brief period of time(30mins) and go back to it and it will show the page, other times wont even at all, and will not even it after powering down the phone or or killing the app... any inklings/ideas? Was thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling but figured id ask here before doing anything. heres what im running: (mot droid4) firefox vs 21.0 android 4.1.2

For some reason today, my flash plugin has stopped working. It first freezes my browser then crashes. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have downgraded to previous versions back to 10.3. I have disabled the plugin in the plugin section, and after that everything runs smoothly except for things that require flash. I also deleted the "pluginreg.dat" to refresh the plugins and it didn't work.

I'm including the last few crash reports so that maybe someone can help and fix this issue.
