It's all in the question.
My isp is sloooow! It takes 30 minutes to restore all of my tabs fresh, when most pages are static. It's a waste of bandwidth.
I often have 50 tabs open, things I am referring back to, but do not need reloaded. How can I make firefox save this content to my cache, so when I restart the browser or computer, I can have my tabs opened again in a hurry, without having the bandwidth crushed? I restart the browser or computer several times a day, but really, do I need my wiki pages refreshed, or a map I have open, etc?
I think it's great that firefox can save my tabs, and I have a session-restore extension, but what I really need is a way to save my online content...?

My albine worked with the last version before I upgraded to 17. I did not save that version and would like to go back to it. I did save firefox 9 and that is what I am using now but I believe you have a later version that i could use. What was the version before 17 and where can I find it? I hate to go back to windows explorer unless I have to. You should let us know what will not work with your upgrades before we start them. Had I known Albine would not work I wouldn't have upgraded.
Thanks.

I keep getting a software update for security and stability for Firefox. But it is telling me that two of my add-ons are incompatible and will be disabled. Problem is, I use these add-ons on a regular basis and I need them. I don't want to risk losing them and not being able to get them back. I don't like Explorer at all, but if there is no way around this then I will have to switch back to them which will not make me happy. I really do prefer Firefox because it is by far and away a better product. However, I also need my BitComet downloader and my Divx. What should I do here?
I have tried to up-date firefox on my system which is a 32-bit but with no success any help would be appreciated.
It appears that it is downloading but when it is completed it does not update my old version. There is probably a step or two that i am not completing.

Шрифт отображается неверно из-за чего страдает верстка страницы. Вместо него отображается Times New Roman. Во всех других браузерах такой проблемы не возникает.

When I install any later version of Firefox than 9.0.1 on my Win 7 Pro 64-bit laptop, the program will not launch the application.
The system process starts loading in the Task Manager and gets up to between 9-15 MB then stalls. My laptop fans starts whirling wildly as if it is overworking. But, the browser application never appears in the Task Manager and the browser, of course, then never actually opens.
When I uninstall and revert back to 9.0.1 it works just fine.
I would like to keep up with later browsers. Any idea what this could be?

Hello,
I need to use Firefox 9 for certain things as the newer versions of Firefox are not being supported by some of the applications I use. However, Firefox 9 keeps updating to Firefox 13 after I've logged off for the day. When I come back the next day, it updates to Firefox 13. I changed the options in the tools -> Options -> Update section. I've asked it not to automatically check or update Firefox. That didn't seem to work. I have also deleted "updater.exe", "update.ini" and any other update like app in the Mozilla folder in C drive -> Program Files -> Mozilla FireFox. I deleted any other previous users on the pc.
I also followed the instructions located in these links below:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Updates%20reported%20when%20running%20newest%20version
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/mozilla.support.firefox/_Ehiz6sM5SM
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Updates_reported_when_running_newest_version
It still updates to Firefox 13. I have to reinstall firefox 9 everyday and It's getting annoying.
I'm not sure what's going on. Please help!
Thanks in advance.

I've seen much later versions of Firefox than 9.0.1 on other Mac computers lately. Yet whenever I check the "About Firefox" button, it gives the message that "Firefox is up to date". I have a MacPro, Intel Core i5 running OS 10.7.3, 4 GB memory, and 128GB SSD. I wish to find a "list" somewhere of Firefox versions vs. machine and OS's, and am unwilling to blindly download and install 15.0.1 without knowing if it's OK in advance.

If I run firefox remotely on a different machine over a secure connection without using the --no-remote option, it starts locally instead.
Also, if I have a secure connection to a remote machine where firefox is running (without --no-remote), and I start firefox locally, the remote instance paints a window on the screen.
How does that work? Are only X facilities used? Which ones? Also, can someone point me to the files in the source version that implement this functionality, and whether there is a compile-time variable to disable it? A related question - if I build my own version according to the mozilla directions, can I expect it to be as fast as the pre-compiled version?
In the first case, take this example:
$ ssh -fX remote xterm -ls $ firefox &
When I start firefox remotely in this configuration, I expect that it asks X to open a window and X sees that the graphic server is remote and paints a window there. Without firefox knowing about it.
I consider it a trojan horse that firefox should look around to determine what my configuration is. This is exactly what I don't want applications to do.
At the very least - i.e. without running a general inventory - it seems that firefox needs to ask if the graphics server is remote or not, and if so, it has to attempt to start an arbitrary executable (but hopefully only firefox) on the server machine.
That that kind of activism doesn't seem like infringement to others is amazing to me.
