The tab came up top, and said the following: This add-on could not be downloaded because of connection failure

The location bar, the place where you type in the web domain, where you want to go that also has the refresh and go back or forward buttons is gone. I don't know how, I'm thinking some sort of virus? Please help this sucks a big one. This started late last night.

Question my hotmail account won't work anymore, it comes up but when I try to do an action (delete a message) it won't do anything, I've restarted the webpage and updated firefox but it keeps doing the same thing, this was not happening a few days ago

Firefox is set for my homepage, however when I initially click on the icon another webpage always comes up first. tomtom.com This is a site I have an account with. There must be someway to delete this page for good as I want firefox browser to come up first. Please advise. I am setting this up for my 85 yr old father and want things to be simple. Let me explain, when I open a webpage with a lot of images like for example an official thread about a game in a forum, the connection in Firefox is stuck, I mean It loads the web but not the images and saying "connecting with... " and It doesnt load any image.

But the weird thing is the connection is out forever, I mean if I go another website is still "connecting with..." and the only fix is reboot Firefox 6.

Also Let me explain what things I tried.

-IE and Google Chrome works fine. -Firefox 3.6.20 and Firefox 5.0.1 works fine. -APB+ disabled in Firefox 6, the problem is still there.

So I dont know what kind of problem this thing has, also browsing with 5.0.1 its not safe right? because its not longer supported.

When I am opening up sites like REI.com and mountainhardwear.com the web page defaults to the bottom of the page. It only happens on certain websites. I can open gmail, hotmail, amazon - and it stays at the top of the page.

When I downloaded Firefox and was checking my extensions, I was advised that Firefox is not compatible with the malware prevention part of my Webroot security package. I use it successfully with Windows and just renewed for another year. What do you suggest I do to protect myself? I am not a computer expert so if you could reply in plain language it would be appreciated. Also, we stream videos a lot and I noticed that DivX is also not compatible. What do I do about that? I was using Internet Explorer 9 as my default browser. I downloaded Firefox and imported everything over, but Adobe Flash Player is not on Firefox. It's asking to manually install the Plug-in and, after I click the icon, it doesn't install.

Since I already have flash player installed, which works fine in IE, how do I fix this problem?

Firevfox opens normally and displays Homepage ( Google Search ) Gives proper search results. But when I click any link thereafter, it redirectes me to questscan.com. Its also not allowing me to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. Other browsers Google Chrome and Explorer running properly.

I do a search and results are displayed. I select something and in the time it takes to click ok on a searched item a Buzzdock Ad box appears at the top of the screen and your ok selects an ad in the Buzzdock Ad box. How do I add this to Ad Blocker as I cannot find any link to block? Thanks

On the left column of my home page below "Inbox" there is a Contacts folder. It contains all my contacts and, in the past, whenever I clicked on it, or on the Add click, the list comes up and I can add, delete, or change a contact. Today when I click on it, nothing comes up. Its still there because, when I send a new email and type in the first letters of the address, all those with that letter in my Contacts list come up. How do I open the Contacts list. I need to change an email address.

Every time I start Firefox, I get this question:

Firefox.app wants to use the font “QuickType Mono on the volume “my disk”. This font is not installed. Allow Firefox.app to use this font?

I do have the font installed.

I just installed Mac OS X Lion on my iMac, and now when I click on a web page with an embedded PDF, I get a blank page with the "click here to download plugin" icon. But when I click on the icon, I get a window saying a plugin can't be found. I am NOT running Abode Reader (apparently it doesn't work to open browser PDF's), just the native Preview app.

Can you help?

I don't remember Firefox nagging with such insistence that the only safe version was one major release number higher than the fresh install of the default download of the day before (5.0.1 on August 15).

What was even more baffling was that I knew from my wife's computer that the 6.0 nag with the same text had started long before 6.0 became the latest default download of Firefox from mozilla.com (because when I saw that message on her Mac one too many times I finally checked my own machine and found I was still running 4 point something, at which point I went to mozilla.org and I landed on the standard download page and was issued 5.0.1).

So, what gives? An explanation would restore confidence. Thanks! We don't know how paranoid to be any more.

I am running the latest version of snow leopard on my mac. Since the last update of Firefox, I have not been able to open any newly downloaded pdf's. I get a message that says "The file cannot be opened. it may be damaged or use a file format that preview doesn't recognize." When I download using Safari, everything works fine. I have been using Firefox for a long time and all of my bookmarks are in Firefox.

I can't print out a highlighted paragraph or section from a article or data. It won't let me select the selection option, only the print all or page 1 of etc.

I have no trouble if using Explorer 9.
