The downloads folder does not save files when they are downloaded. problem particularlly with binary files e.g. adobe reader 10

 NIS has been deactivated and problem persists.

Initially downloads are canceled. When retry option is selected file downloads in window but sub directory shows file while downloading and then it is deleted

DivX Plus Web Player HTML 5 [video] is incompatible with Firefox 4.0b8. <=(disable reason) So i can no longer stream my fav movies. Also, when i click play, sometimes my trafic bar goes crazy like it's downloading from the source, but i have no image or sound just like the divx web player is crashed. So please can you help me? The web player worked on FF 3 and on Opera...

Also, Bitdefender Antiphishing Toolbar, Cooliris and some Microsoft Framework stuff are incompatible with Firefox 4.

Web pages will not reload on visit even if the meta information specifies: <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" /> and <meta http-equiv="Expires" content="0" />

Page shown is last visit from cache instead.

Signed up for Firefox 4 on my desktop @ work but my web based time sheet provider won't allow me access with a "beta" browser, so I need to revert back to Firefox 3 (most current non beta version).

Instead of Google, I am getting about:home as the default start page, and it redirects to ask.com instead of to Google when doing a search. I think the search page was open yesterday when the computer shut down due to a transient power outage, and it was on Google. I could try restarting Firefox again, but it will probably take ten minutes to reload everything I have open with my slow connection.

I have given the new FF4 betas a shot but I really hate the lack of a status bar. I would think that the fact over 32,000+ people using a BETA have downloaded an extension that emulates the old Status Bar is a pretty clear indicator that this was a UI mistake. Leave it off be default, fine. Bury the option in About:Config... fine. But don't remove the option entirely, this has completely messed up the UI experience for me.

I don't like the Chrome UI and I LIKED that Firefox felt different... why are we making it a clone? If you remove my options then I may as well just use Chrome then since it'll feel the same. FF has always been about choice, and it seems that has been forgotten in FF4. I for one am highly disappointed.

Whenever a google.nl search or results page is opened Firefox freezes. I can still close the window by the close button resize or move the window but the content is totally frozen. Cannot open new tabs, menu options are not accessible, neither by mouse nor keyboard. No problems with maps.google.nl exept when I try to use 3D google earth. I don't have the plugin but see a screen stating I have to download a plugin and than the session freezes again. (Another FF4 session is not affected). It looks like a flash problem? Any suggestions what to do (in a way that I can provide feedback as well?). I didn't reinstall flash yet since it al works fine in ye old FF3.6.

I have FF4 beta, this started since FF4 beta 7. I work on Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

The problem is that I can't see drop down menus unless they have alot of items, nor context menus (like highlighting a text then right-clicking it), auto fill bars don't show the auto fill info entered before .. the menu itself appears, kinda. but it's transparent and the I can't see the items, don't know where to click to select the thing I want.

I haven't got this problem before 4.0b7 .. after I got it, I thought it was one of the plugins, so I disabled them all but still have the problem!

Any drop-down menu on website works "fine" but the render was wrong. When clicked, nothing could be shown but only the drop-back shadow. It just like the menu become total transparent.

PS: any white colored firefox menu, "New tab""Print""Developer", has the same problem.

Everything will be all right in safe mode,tried to disabled all addons/plugins,reseted setings,be do not help at all.

PS2: Changing theme could fix this problem

Whenever I stop moving my mouse (while hovered over a Firefox window) Firefox freezes and does nothing until I move the mouse again (or back on a window). It doesnt even load pages or anything, it just freezes, but unfreezes immediatly when the mouse is moved again. It does also seem to semi-unfreeze while typing.

There also seems to be a related problem with Flash, after some time working with Firefox and then opening a Flash element initially does nothing, but interacting (AKA clicking, hover ing does not affect this but actually affects the flash) freezes the browser, but not the sound, minimizing or attempt to close (with multiple tabs open) fixes the freeze.

Older versions of Firefox had View at the top of my screen. The latest update removed this. I need to be able to use the zoom under zoom. Is it possible to get View back at the top of my screen with this version of Firefox? If so, how. If not, will there be other updates that will allow this? Thanks.

Well I like the new interface and I always liked the stability of Firefox. But this version it "feels" slower. When I open 5-6 tabs, when I want to change to another tab it takes about half a second (maybe even less) to change to the that other tab... It's not my hardware I know that for sure, other browsers (Google Chrome, Opera etc.) work fine.

Now firefox reminds me of Internet Explorer. Cause IE had that problem since 7.0 version came out. And I don't like it... It ruins browsing experience. It gets very annoying.

I want to set Firefox as my default GIF image viewer, since Windows has no way of viewing them and Internet Explorer plays them back too slow. They run fine in Firefox but I can't set it as the default program. I click "firefox.exe" and it doesn't recognize that I clicked. I didn't have this problem with previous versions of Firefox.

When the update to ff 4 version 8 happened the add-on bar moved from the bottom lower right to the lower left of the the browser and I cannot find any feature that will allow me to move it back to the right side.

Using MF 4.0 Beta 8, just updated and the icon from noscript has moved from bottom right to bottom left and a small x now appears on the add-on bar. Not sure how to fix this, when i try to move it to the right corner it just moves back!!!!, as well as this the (hoping people from MF reading this) the cross on the add-on bar that is now used to close it is pointless and infuriating me at the moment, really really annoying, a question here also am i able to remove this cross from the view of my eyes???
