I've had Firefox 4 since the release date, but today it's been acting up - it's not loading certain webpages properly, removing all the formatting and just putting all the text/links/etc in a list along the left hand side of the window. It's also not showing some pictures at all any more, although they're all hosted on Photobucket. This is literally ther first time there's been a problem with it since updating, and I've not changed any settings on it at all, so I have no clue why it's suddenly broken. Is anyone else getting this?

when the bookmark toolbar is selected, a space for it appears where it should be (above the tabs) but with nothing on it. When you deselect, the space disappears. The items on the bookmark toolbar are accessible via the bookmarks menu (bookmarks/bookmarks toolbar). Another thing is that "organize bookmarks" option is not listed on the menu under bookmarks. Everything else is working fine.

The new Yahoo Mail wont work properly on Firefox it says that my internet connection is to slow and yet it works perfectly on explorer. How can I revert to the old yahoo mail?

Since installing Incredimail I have had the My Start Toolbar in both IE8 & Firefox4, I removed it from IE using Add/Remove programmes but it has not gone from Firefox 4 Any idears,??

The extraordinarily severe Firefox 4.0.1 memory leak issue(s) (at least as seen under Windows, but also other OSs that are affected), urgently needs to be formally addressed by official or officially delegated Mozilla technical experts, and all effective solutions, work-arounds, or troubleshooting tips for this precise situation should be provided in a single, centralized location. This is necessary because, as of now, there are a very considerable number of different posts, alleged solutions, and other strange suggestions, many of which either contradict each other or are ineffective or entirely wrong-headed in the first place.

A staggering number of FF 4 users are reporting this often astonishingly severe memory leak problem, while others who might justly be described as Firefox 4 apologists (well-intentioned, I'm sure) either deny the problem exists or offers suggestions or strategies that are either: (1) beyond the technical ken of most users; (2) would require many weeks of painstaking trial and error (such as enabling only one add-on or extension at a time, which is far more complex than one might at first think because most add-ons have numerous options which could very well affect the outcomes depending on their settings and/or depending on which web sites the user browses to, and/or depend on subtle interactions with other add-ons such that the problem would not appear if they were disabled at the time, etc., etc., etc.). Considering all these complexities, expecting users to "heal themselves" is both absurd and arguably arrogant as well.

I will provide more information in the other fields of this form, but I wish first to identify the extreme nature of this memory leak issue, which began only after updating from the latest version of FF 3: When I launch FF 4 from a saved session with several tabs already opened, it consumes no more than around 200 MB or RAM. After it finishes loading, with NO user interaction whatsoever (I just let it sit there, untouched), I bring up a process monitor and watch as Firefox 4 (just the .exe, not the container process) acquires at least 12 additional megabytes and often around 50 additional megabytes PER SECOND!

Yes, 12-50 megabytes of additional memory PER SECOND!

And I'm not doing anything at all.

Within ten minutes -- even while doing nothing whatsoever with FF -- FF 4's RAM footprint reaches about 1.5 GB (of 2.3 GB available to XP out of 4 GB physical RAM), and after 20-30 minutes it consumes all available RAM and thus VM usage soars, resulting in a dramatic increase in disk I/O.

This is, shall we say, unacceptable. FF 3.6.x had no such issue at all, no matter how many tabs were open and with almost exactly the same add-ons installed.

I realize that Mozilla is primarily a volunteer project, and I tremendously respect and profoundly admire every last one of you folks. And Firefox IS, in my view, the finest web browser in existence. I absolutely do NOT denigrate or minimize the enormous efforts you all have undertaken or the value of your products! That I ask for still more effort and for consolidation of your findings suggests just how highly I value these efforts as well as the wonderful fruits of your products rather than the reverse!

Naturally I have pop-up blocker functional but there is a new and really, really annoying "coupon" pop-up that is always on Amazon but also on other sites. Close the coupon window and it pops up every time I navigate to look at any product. It really is bad and vexingly doesn't even offer anything that the Amazon template doesn't already offer ("free shipping" above a certain expenditure on some items etc.). It has a distinctive green border and appears on other sites as well. How did they get around your software? How can I make this stop?

whenever I start a page of a place I can purchase stuff, I get this annoying popup that offers me a coupon to the particular site, like ebay, or walmart. It doesn't do it yet on Explorer, but I don't use it.

Is there a way to fix this?

I installed a freeware program from the net, said no to alot toolbar, but it installed anyway. I then went to the add/remove programs in contral panel, said remove, it then said is was uninstalled, but it is still in the firefox and internet explorer BOTH. I like Firefox, but want the alot toolbar out. please help

In the address bar at the top where you would enter web address/url there is the arrow down to the right that will bring a dropdown menu of sites i often goto without open bookmarks or even having to bookmark. thats great but there are one or two i'd like to remove without having to delete all history. i've deleted associated cookies individually but they are still there. how do i remove only one?

It would seem that the Mozilla people do not want negative feedback? The "Firefox made me sad" page will not allow me to submit anything. The "Submit Feedback" button does not do anything. The address is input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback#sad. I was unable to send more than one idea to the feedback at input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback#idea. Is there some kind of limit on the number of ideas that one computer will be allowed to send? Again, the Submit button does nothing.

Thank you in advance. I upgraded to firefox 4, and since then I have had a problem. When opening a new tab I have chosen to be directed to google.com. In the past my cursor automatically went to the search bar on that page when I open a new tab. After upgrading the cursor just stays in the address bar, but I would like it to automatically move to the google search bar on the page. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks again.

I can't download any add ons for Firefox 4, on my new computer because i keep getting the error this add on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure on addons.mozilla.org.

I am using Windows 7 to run Firefox 4

When I do my usual visit to YouTube and select a video to play the video apparently is downloaded correctly, the tracking bar below the video looks normal, the video plays correctly but there is no sound. This problem began on the morning of Sunday May 8th. All other applications involving sound on my PC are working just fine.

I think some that suggest superfish or surf canyon do not install anything unless you agree is complete nonsense. I think the work for these scam sites and trying to pull your leg. I searched all of my computer and did not find either one of them anywhere. I never allowed any software to install unless I have researched what or who they are and what good they do for me. But nevertheless I got this vicious software interfering with my search on every shopping site I was on. God knows what information they got. Imagine they are on the sites where you buy stuff and enter you passwords, credit card numbers, your address and phone numbers etc. Scary uh!!!. If this company is legitimate why dont they show up in you programs as superfish since their address is superfish.com? Why is there no easy way to uninstall this like real programs? Sorry but I think these scams need to be stopped and rooted out. Superfish: If you are legitimate show up on our computer as one! Dont sneakup and install your scamware in our computers. Please post removal instructions!

I'm using firefox 4 and i can not view videos on you tube.I've updated and reinstalled adobe flash player twice with no results.I've also tried the other checks,security blocking,cache,pop ups etc Works fine on IE. Hope someone has a solution.I've always liked firefox but not the newer versions and many of the changes;
