Bookmarks do not "take" when I try to bookmark a page. I've gone through the articles supplied (going to Safe Mode, Reset Tool bars and controls, , Make Changes & Restart, etc.), but the problem does not get resolved. Help!

Your educated guess should, I think, reflect that I just upgraded to Firefox 10. something.

i use yahoo mail. in the old versions of firefox it works perfectly. i use now firefox 3.6.25 if i upgrade to the latest firefox, yahoo mail doesn't work anymore. i can't attach anything. the button 'attach' stays grey and unclickable. it is the reason i don't upgrade. can someone help me? o i work on a macbook pro, with mac os 10.6.8 running.

This Custom Search Menu appeared on the bottom of my firefox homepage, offers no method of removal and it is bloody annoying!

It's bad enough your new version does not support roboform and now this.

I want a fix asap or I'll just use another browser.

Last week I found I could no longer open attachments in my Hotmail account using Firefox v 3.6.25. I have been using this version for quite awhile and this is a new problem. I did upgrade my Norton 360 to v 5.1.0.29. I have contacted Norton and they were unable to assist me. There is NO problem accessing these attachments when I switch to Chrome or Internet Explorer. Any ideas why Firefox has balked at this? I have cleared my cache and cookies. No help! Thank you, Ian

I have been running Firefox 3.6, Every time I update to any new version I am unable to get firefox to lauch so have ended up back with 3.6. What can be the problem. I desperately want to run a newer version.

As soon as you hit something that uses Flash (such as youtube) the browser locks up, and the following messages get output:

The EDA industry pretty much runs on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 because the tools (which are very complex) take time to port and verify on a new OS. We have hundreds of engineers on RHEL5, and we have no idea when we will be able to move to RHEL6. Can you please either build with libraries supported by RHEL5 or provide a statically linked version of the newer FF?

We're stuck at 3.6.x until this happens (or some interim version supports EL5, but I don't have time to go try every version after 3.6).

We actually use CentOS5, but it's binary compatible with EL5.

On certain websites, i get the message "Java is required to view this image/page", instead of seeing the image or page. What is the problem, and how to i fix this? OK. So in October I made the mistake of opening a website offering a free iBook (I'm really not gullible; I thought I could figure out who was sending it too me). Ever since then, I cannot open a new Firefox session without being redirected to the site (If I open up more than one webpage and save them before closing, I don't get redirected to the ibook site).

I actually keep my web-surfing software on thumb drives, and I tried two different thumb drives doesn't matter. I purchased and ran an anti-virus program. No dice. Can you help me?

I have a MacBook, which runs on system OSX 10.5.8

I'm noticing more and more that when I open a webpage and then want to close it, a bubble comes up asking if I'm sure I want to close it. I think most if not all of these are on sites from Publishers Clearing House. I don't mind entering the contests, but when I say I want a page to close I want it to close without my judgment being questioned. I'm concerned about clicking the OK to affirm that I want it to close because that could trigger an OK for who knows what?

Is there a setting on Firefox to force a page to close when I say to close it, without all the nonsence?

I can go into the Task Manager and force the page to close, but that completely closes Firefox, and any other pages I might have open are also gone. Is there a way in the Task Manager to close only one page without completely closing Firefox?

I am not very tech savvy, so if anyone can tell me how to solve these problems, please tell me in very simple terms. I appreciate it.

We are limited to using firefox 3.6.25 for work in order to be compatible with various other systems. Every time I open firefox, I get a "whats new" page that wants to download a new version, which we are not allowed to do. It is a real pain to have this show rather than my home page or a blank page. How can I get rid of this?

I have Firefox v3.6.26 but I keep getting reminders to upgrade to this version. When I do I then get a message saying almost finished... updating to current version. Nothing then happens. A while later the cycle begins again. Before I remove Firefox and go to Google, What is wrong?

I am so satisfied with Firefox 3.6.25 (thank you so much), but I am concerned about to update the program because the system requirements does not meet my PC or does it? I have Win XP Pro SP2, PIII 600 MHz. I always get messages from you about update the program but don't know if it is possible.

I'm also having erratic problems sending emails. Sometimes I get an error message when I send one but the message is shown on the 'sent' menu.

b.friend's firefox history has pages that he says he has not visited, i.e. dating sites, "x" rated sites. he says they pop up when he IS visiting porn sites, and that he has not opened them. yet they are in the history. can this occur?
