Wife downloaded play pickle which gave the computer a bunch of spyware and adware. It also added an extension called play pickle text links to firefox. I can disable this extension but when I try to uninstall it won't. How can I get rid of play pickle?

Just recently, I am having problems with downloading attachments or even e.g. a bill. I also can't download Firefox update which is on my screen when I log on. I have looked at the ;'Download' box and a message repeats:- Server does not support RFC 5 746 See 2009/3555 I haven't experienced this problem until today I am not very computer savvy although I have been on line for over 10 years

I received the following e-mail:

I suspect this is a scam of some sort. Banks have fraud departments that they ask recipients to forward this type of e-mail to. Do you have the same type of policy?

I will have to change to v10 soon. The problem is I liked v3.6. I use it at home and on about 7 computers at work. But everything from v4 on feels like Google chrome. My kids and wife go to school online and Google doesn't work with those sites. So here's the question (and I need to know before I replace v3.6). How do I configure the latest version to look, feel and work like old reliable v3.6? I also need information on the about:config file as I had made some changes to the previous instillation before it was killed by the downgrade to v4.

Firefox doesn't remember my Hotmail username and password. And logged in, FF doesn't open my mails. It's probably a microsoftbug programmed on purpose for FF-users. With IE it's working well.....

From V3.6.18 via WinXP to V9.X via Win7 using DSL/Cable - on multiple PC/NB's.... Running only three tabs, I've found that FF does not release unused/closed items memory - leading to my whole FF/PC "ALL" operations going super slow.

My solution is to go to WinTaskMngr/Processes and view FF mem-use. If mem-use is >250K the PC will start slowing down >1Meg and it is crawling! I highlight FF - right click and hit 'End Process' killing FF. Then restart FF via icon and all is FAST again! May not be the right way but it works and my speed is back to normal and Win does not care!

I do not do a normal FF exit as it hang up for ~10min. The FF page closes but if you try to restart right away it says FF is still running prohibiting a restart. The above method does not have any wait state in firing FF back up!!!

Can't update due to message saying a prior update is still running and to reboot, but I have rebooted at least 4 or 5 times What do I need to remove to get the install to work?

I am stuck at FireFox 3.6.18 as no update actually installs, even when I am logged in as the admin. i am running XP SP3

I have the update files for version 4, 6, 8, and 10. IF I can figure out the error - probably in the registry - which update should I start with

A few days ago I received a message saying I was the millionth visitor and had won a prize which included money and a disneyland visit. I was given a long code, two telephone numbers (one in Paris) and a timed count-down of a few seconds (when I picked up the message). This made me suspicious and I ignored the whole thing. Was this wise?

PLEASE HELP ME!! Every few seconds Mozilla Firefox interupts me with an offer from the Survey Prize Center or and offer from Groupon. I can hardly work on my computer. I have to stop and X it out and continue. It's such a nuisance. If not stopped I will not use Firefox!!! There's no place for me to unsubscribe. I've tried everything!!! Can you help me, please?

Just now I received an email stating that I won GBP 750,000 in the Mozilla Firefox Online Promo sent from mzaward@mozilla.com and I was told to contact mzclaims@inmail.sk to claim the prize, is this true?

I use a website (www.lydian.org.uk) that has hyperlinks to email. Despite my tools options applications being set to outlook express, there is no response when I click on these hyperlinks. In Internet Explorer the same links work perfectly. Is there a problem with my settings or is it something to do with the host website?

I do the graphics layout for three full color magazines and recently found a great program to create flip books for the online viewing of these magazines called Flip Builder. After creating the flip books and posting online, we, along with clients who use Firefox browser have found the flip books will open the first time with no problem. However, if the Refresh/Reload button is hit, the pages will not reload. The round, rotating icon that indicates the load progress simply spins with nothing happening, just a blank screen. The only way to reload the page is by completely closing out Firefox, reopening and re-entering the flip book URL again. Not very convenient for our clients.

This issue only exists with Firefox. Reloading the pages is no problem with Internet Explorer (sorry, had to mention it!) or Opera.

Naturally, our clients use various types of computers, so there is no consistency among users. I am using the most current version of Firefox and noticed this problem immediately.

I've also contacted the makers of Flip Builder and made them aware of this issue.

I have a visual impairment and utilize Microsoft Magnifier to assist with reading text on my PC. The software has the ability to follow the mouse cursor and follow any text editing cursor position, and yes, I have it set to do so. This has worked well for me for years in nearly every application.

However, since the release of Firefox 4 it will no longer track text editing in Firefox. Therefor, I have been using version 3.6 for quite some time now, but would really like to utilize some of the features in the more recent versions.

I do periodically download the latest version to test its compatibility, and here is the current functionality. It will track some text editing if the cursor is at the end of a line of text, but specifically will not follow any text editing within the body of text. Many websites (Facebook, Yahoo Mail, Outlook Web Mail, etc.) will not follow text editing at all.

This issue happens with Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

This is very frustrating for me. Imagine if every time you tried to type you had to close your eyes, and then later review that text by having to track your mouse over it. UGH!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Mozilla team.

BTW: Please do not suggest that I use another program/add on to see my screen. I have used many, and prefer Microsoft Magnifier. Thank you.
