Every time I open firefox, a "plugin check" website opens up. I thought that once I installed and updated all the pertinent updates for the plugins, the website would disappear when I re-opened firefox. However, the page wont' seem to disappear. I've done everything I could think of to get rid of this page. After updating all the plugins I restarted my pc, checked to make sure that my home page has not been changed the firefox plugin change, disabled all my plugins and even tried blocking the website via HOSTS.

(I am on firefox 3.6.17. I cannot update to 4.0 because some of the websites I use cannot support 4.0).

How do I open hotmail messages, delete, compose, etc. ? It has stopped working. My hotmail stopped working properly with Firefox. After logging in to my account, I see that I have new messages, but cannot read them, or read the old messages. I cannot delete, compose, or do anything with my messages. I can access hotmail through explorer but would rather continue to use firefox. ritamord@hotmail.com

I would like to check my history for time of day, as well as for the date. Is this a feature that is common? How do I set it to work showing the time, as well as, the date? Thank you.

I am unable to open my emails in my hotmail account. The page opens and I see the emails in the inbox. When I click on them, nothing happens. If I use IE everything works fine. Please help. I prefer to use Firefox for everything.

I have the Google search box function in the top bar next to the web address window. When I type a search word or term I am taken to google.gr (becasue I am in Greece). However, I want google.com but even if I type www.google.com in the address window I am sent to .gr Is this a Firefox problem (new to me) or a google one? I can log into my google account at .gr but as it's in Greek I can't find a way to make changes there. It only started happening this morning and I've had Firefox for a while now. Odd. I am on an old version of Firefox, and this problem stared when I tried to install 12. I didn't like 12 as it's not compatible with the plugins I like, so I went back to 3.6.17 which works perfectly apart from this problem.

EVERY time I open Mozilla Firefox to go online it opens to Bearshare, and I try to CHANGE it EVERY time! I will change the settings for the homepage and save, but once I turn it off, I am right back at the BEARSHARE SEARCH I HATE!!!! I want it removed PERMANENTLY from our computer but cannot get it out!!!! PLEASE HELP, I HATE BEARSHARE!

I tried FF4 , didn' like it and returned to the previous version. Now I keep getting upgrade alerts I don't want as my wife has already accepted them once and I had to reinstall FF3 again.

How do I stop the alerts?

I'm using Firefox 3.16.17 on Windows XP. While browsing my computer has begun to clang with an annoying cymbol like sound very couple of minutes. It sounds like an alert of some kind but I have no idea what. It is very annoying. It usually starts up four or five minutes after I start browsing and then continues until I'm finished.

Hi all, 1st time 4 me on these forums. Well, straight 2 the topic.

I'm using version 3.6.17 since i didn't like version four. In Options=>Advanced=>Network, there's a section called "Offline Storage", I think that's the one that handles storing webpage data so that it opens faster the next time u open it, similar to "temporary files" in IE, right? Well its "usually" not working for me, & I figured it out from two reasons.

First, the "Exceptions" are empty & the box at the bottom (not the exceptions box) which is supposed 2 list the websites storing data is also empty, second, pages r actually not opening fast, I can see all the components (frames, images etc...) being loaded like its the first time i'm opening it.

But I would like to clarify, I said "usually" in my 1st paragraph, why? because even though the settings doesn't say i'm storing any data, I notice a few sites that r actually being loaded fast. Only "some" sites, while the rest of them r actually loaded like new every time.

I'm not bad in computer stuff but I'm clueless on this, I hope u can help me out, I'll be glad 2 do any diagnostics if needed.

How to get Coupons.com printer software to work with Firefox 3.6.17 on my Mac-Dual 2 GHz IBM Processors IB PowerPc G5 OSX Tiger 10.4.11; ; I've tried many things w/o sucess per coupons.com tech support; Safari 4.1.3 works-Firefox 3.6.17 doesn't work???

I have tried the following suggestions below, including trying to make sure there is no third party software that might cause problems etc., w/o sucess per the coupons.com tech support email below that I received from them on 4-22-2011. For Mac OS X:

1) Have your browser plugins been disabled?

Check to see that your Coupons, Inc browser plug-in is enabled.

In Safari, click the Safari menu and select "Preferences". Under the "Security" icon, make sure "Enable plug-ins" is checked.

In Firefox, click "Tools" and select "Add-ons". Under the "Plugins" category, make sure "Coupons, Inc. Plugin" is enabled. If it has been disabled, you will be prompted to install continuously until it is.

2) If your browser plugins were already enabled, then try doing a fresh install of the Coupon Printer.

3) Is this a browser-specific issue?

I want to be able to read each and every http packet firefox is receiving. Basically I want to do this for troubleshooting a network problem.

I have found "live http headers" and httpwatch. Other than these does firefox have any inbuilt mechanism to view each packet?

Hi, I had a question.

Regarding the FF3.6 warning about support being stopped, I assume that people who have it on their machine can still use it as they used to. Please let me know if that's correct?

I needed to restore my computer to an earlier date, so I used system restore to do so. After restore, I am no longer able to start Firefox. A window appears saying we'e sorry, Firefox has encountered a problem and closed, etc. I cannot start it in safe mode either.

Every time i start writing a new email to send in Hotmail, i get an error message appear preventing me from continuing saying, 'Windows Live Hotmail was not able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report.' I don't get this problem with Windows Explorer?

this space takes up almost half the screen and whatever website i go on the space stays there and im unable to do things that i need, becuse of this problem i can only use half the page.
