Firefox 3.6.13 (I do not think it is updating)?

Windows XP SP3 UP-TO-DATE

Epson workforce 545.

MANY crashes when trying to print - mostly associated with preview.

I obviously need to upgrade but want to know: 1. Which of the newer versions use less resources?

and 2. Whether I could get an *older* version (rather than 11.x) i.e. a non-beta (debugged) version.

Hi, I'm running windows vista business on my laptop and the latest firefox update has killed my pc! I even have to logon using safe mode to remove it! I have removed and re-installed it three times now and still it just would not work. the problem is when I clicked starting firefox, the whole pc just frozen and will not do a thing! I will then have to force shut down by holding the on/off button down to turn my pc off! is the update corrupted or is it full of vires? please help. thanks

cmon firefox i like this verison i dont want to upgrade :((( this best version ever made for font to, i dont like 4 and up..... i cant see why we cant keep browser for years.

Deleted all of these and reinstalled /Users/<user_acct>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/ /Users/<user_acct>/Library/Caches/Firefox/ /Users/<user_acct>/Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist

I have tried rebooting, running Disk Utility and repaired permissions, and checked I have admin privileges. I have Reset Launch Services in Snow Leopard.

I have created a test account System Preferences > Users & Groups create a "Test Account" then tried launching FF from there = crash

I have installed FF 13.0.1

no crash ids since this is version 3.6, the only version that doesn't crash, and I have to use Firefox for work stuff.

I have submitted over a hundred crash reports and included my email, but no one has ever contacted me with any help. This has been going on for weeks. I have been forced to use an outdated version of FF because no one has bother to get back to me. I would be happy to update to 14 and start the crash cycle again if someone wants to give me some suggestions I haven't tried already. BTW, no font conflicts or RAM problems, (someone else's issue)

using windows XP Pak3, firefox 3.6.13 crashes all the time. Also, tabs work differently I used to keep the sites I use consistently as permanent tabs, this version will not do this. I want to go back to an earlier version than 3.6- never had problems until 3.6 versions came out!

Lately, almost every site I've been on, Firefox tells me I need to update my plugins. When I check which ones, a list comes up with what I need to update, including Quicktime and Flash under the most "vulnerable". I click to update to the latest versions but I see my mac already has it (I have an ibook mac os x 10.4.11)... I don't understand why firefox is constantly telling me to update various items when my computer itself is telling everything is up to date.....any clue what I should look at, how to fix this?

I use AOL for email etc. Just downloaded the new edition, 9.6. It has taken over my Firefox/Mozilla page. When I upload Firefox/Mozilla it goes to AOL. It blocks out the bar at the top so that I cannot use tools etc.

I cannot get rid of AOL as I cannot get to tools. How can I get rid of AOL from my Firefox/Mozilla account

Firstly - I did post this yesterday but it did not appear - my apologies if it comes up twice.

When I click some links from various pages, including Yahoo and Google search results, I get a blank screen with (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels) in the tab, the correct URL is shown in the address bar. It started occasiobally, now happens with all search results and many (but not all) links from one site to another, whether they open in a new tab/window or the same tab.

Some links need to be opened with a middle-click in a new tab for me to see them, instead of just left-clicking to advance the page. It only occurs in Firefox, not in any other programs or Windows itself.

Under Tools > Options > Tabs, "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is selected. Also, in about:config, browser.tabs.warnOnClose is set to "true". I always have multiple tabs open. However, sometimes my hand slips or the mouse falls off the table and Firefox closes without any warning.

This does not happen with every Google search. When it does happen, it is always the first time I select a result no matter which result I select. Always when I go back one page and select the result again or another result I am directed to the correct website.

I only use Firefox so don't know what happens with other browsers IE Google Chrome or whatever.

I have several examples since December 2010 including two today 7th March 2011.

I followed the directions to turn off location-aware browsing: about:config geo:enabled double-click to turn off. Yet google is still able to identify my location. I have no google tool bar and I specifically turned off my location share for google in the tools page info menu. Yet they can still identify my browsing location! How do I turn it off!?

I tried changing keyword.url string in about:config from MyStart to "http://www.google.com.my/search?q=", clicked OK and rebooted, but the search box at top right is still the same MyStart Search.

I keep having to reload ff 3.6.13 as that is the last version that plays video for me. When trying to play a youtube video I get a message that says : "an error has occured, please try again later". I don't get the video or the sound. I'm running Windows 7 with the Flash version 10.2.152.32. 3.6.14 did the same thing. Frustrated as all hell. tia.

I tried error console to see what it said just to see what the error console is about and it shows warnings and error messages. is that normal or is it something to worry about? firefox seem to be working quite well otherwise

I can log into gmail via Microsoft's Internet explorer so I know that my user name and password work. I have also added www.google.com to the list of allowable web sites in Firefox. The google account was started about two weeks ago and I had no trouble logging in until about 3 days ago. I have gone thru all the recovery steps suggested by google. I suspect that there is something between Firefox and google that needs fixing, but I do not know what.

In the older version when I logged in the comment box would appear at the bottom of the comment section. Now I log in and the website states that I'm login in but there is no comment box at the bottom to add comments. I have adblock plus and Mcafee siteadviser. I’m running windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.13.
