Using MAC OS 10.2.8 and FireFox 2.0.0.20. Never any issues until 3 days ago. Went to my files hosting site and I wasn't automatically logged in. Went to log in and I am unable to type in my name and password in the fields. Mouse stays the arrow. Have cleared all cookies and emptied the cache per trouble shooting advice. Other than this it is working fine.

I am using Windows 98 on an old computer. I have been using Firefox 2.0.0.20. I get frequent "Unresponsive Script" error messages. In the past I extended the time but I am back to getting numerous of these errors. What can I do to fix this? If I should go to a later version, which should it be and where do I get the download? If I do go to a later version, do I need to delete the oldversion first? Also, will my Bookmarks be saved?

I just got a Macbook and am having trouble scrolling through my bookmarks in Firefox 9.0.1. Whenever I scroll down the bookmark list, the cursor opens the first nestled category folder it comes to, causing that folder to open all the bookmarks inside it and stay inside that nestled folder. This makes it almost impossible to scroll down the rest of the bookmark list to open the one I want.

But when I click upgrade I am told additional details of the updated version are not avaialble. It then tells me to go to mozilla homepage. What do I do next ? Can I install the latest version over the current one or do I need to uninstall it first.

Hi, I am trying to move into my new IMac. Everything is good except the old G4 running 10.3.9 with Firefox/2.0.0.20 cannot export bookmarks. I could transfer them via a external hard drive if I could get them to export. The IMac 10.7.2 will not recognize the old Mac.

We were recently given an older Gateway laptop that we intend to use solely as an internet terminal. Alas, it is running Windows ME and I don't even know if it has all the specs to upgrade (and certainly not to Vista, which is the only thing we have an install disk for). It currently has Firefox 2.0.0.20, which of course contains numerous security vulnerabilities and is incompatible with most newer plugins. What is the best version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME, and is it still available for download? Thanks!

ever since gmail came up whit the latest look - I get the mail in HTML-version and the comment to upgrade to a modern browser like chrome. I have to click every time on "open in the standard version" to see my mails in the new look. I have deleted firefox from my laptop and reinstalled it to be shure to have the latest version 8 and got the same remark. I installed 9 beta - same remark. What can I do now ?

It opens in Chinese, and I can't change the preferences because they're all in Chinese.

Changes to the 'safety' of FF mean that some HTML script applications will not allow loading of a file from your own hard drive through Windows File Picker. This eliminates use of FF for some hobby research.

I've tried to install 2.0.0.20 [latest version with this working] and then use current versions for on line. However they interact, using the same profile and preferences.

Can I have two, independent versions on the same computer? How is it set up to keep them completely 'isolated'? Two drives are available [and tried!]

Until I can solve this, I've reverted to version 2-20

icon on my windows xp laptop was working as of yesterday when I click on the firefox mozilla icon the hour glass stays on a second then nothing happens. Its like firefox isn't responding. I have tried internet exployer also as I used this years ago, no luck . Can you help? I am on someone elses computer at present it is a very old one windows 98 so i cannot access much with it.

I'm running Windows ME. When I go to the FF Homepage I see this message. "URGENT! Your version of Firefox is no longer protected against online attacks.Get the upgrade - it’s fast and free!" I can't use any other FF with Windows ME. Am I at risk using FF? Thanks.

Since I'm running Windows ME everything is somewhat limited. At the FF Homepage it states I should upgrade, however I know this not an option for me. What can I do to protect myself from obtaining viruses and what-not while running the FF2.0? I understand it's an old operating system but upgrading to another is not an option for economic reasons, in short, I'm poor, so I have to work with what I have. I like FF way better than IE and would like to continue to use it.

My Mac is a 10.2.8 revision. The Firefox version I am using is not compatible with gmail. My Mac revision is old and cannot upgrade to the latest revision of Firefox. Is there an old version of Firefox that can be used with my Mac?
