I just want to disable spacebar scrolling pages in firefox 13.0.1 (or any other version not too old) by any means, maybe I can intrude some code into firefox files or is there some official option to disable the page scroll when i press spacebar?

Just this week (10/1/12) I signed out of youtube and now I cannot log back in there or in my gmail account. I have tried every single fix-it/remedy offered on the FF forum but nothing works.

Everything else works, all websites I frequent load fine, is youtube doing something on purpose to FF users? I can get to the youtube page and view videos, but I cannot log in, every time I click the sign in button I get:

"The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. 

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but I can log in to youtube with no problem on IE, but I hate that browser. I am using windows 7 and FF 15. Can anybody figure this one out?

The browser history that is older than 6 months has completely disappeared (it doesn't show up in the sidebar)! I would very much like to be able to see it again. How do I do this? I know for a fact that Mozilla Firefox used to have a feature where it let you see all your browser history (it put it under "older than 6 months"). I really like to go back and look at all my history. Please tell me this is possible. This really annoys me that this happened.

I downloaded my current version of the browser last June & the browser history is only showing October & onward. In my browser settings (tools- options), in the "privacy" tab, I have it set where it says the browser "will remember history", & I have the cache set to 1024 MB (but for it to override the cache management). I hope someone can help me, because I really want to be able to see the rest of my browser history. Thanks.

I Googled this problem and found nothing useful, and also checked the support area here and still nothing. I am creating a web page with HTML5 video. I made a layer with the video object that is hidden with CSS until the user clicks a link. When the user clicks the link, I use a JavaScript function to show and play the HTML5 video object. Works fine except that Firefox keeps the play button overlay in place while my video is playing! If I click on the overlay, the video pauses. Then if I click on it again, the overlay disappears and the video resumes playing.

I realize there are workarounds that can be hacked. But it's definitely a bug that the overlay stays in place after the video has started via a JavaScript command. I hope this problem finds its way to the right people at Mozilla for resolution.

I bring up ebay and I can get on to my account ok but when I close it and then try to get back on later the site comes up "Forbidden" and I can't access it. I get on thru Mozilla Firefox.

I have the firefox icon on the tool bar at the bottom. When I click on it, another one appears so now there are 2. I wanted to update my firefox but, when I try to run the install I get a box that says that I need to close firefox in order to install and it is not open. I need to get this corrected. What do I do?

I tried the two methods I've heard so far to disable the new firefox 19 pdf viewr: -in about:config set pdfjs.disable to true -options>Applications>set pdf view application

The trouble: when I set the viewing application for pdf to Foxit, firefox automatically downloads the pdf to open it in the separate application. Up until firefox 19, the Foxit reader application would open in the browser. Since Foxit does not have a firefox add-on, how do I disable the firefox 19 pdf viewer and use Foxit Reader to open pdfs as a new tab in the browser?

I'm creating a webpage with Notepad and wanting to see illustrations using my browser, i have loaded the text html files and that works fine however when i try to load images using this command... it fails to load...error says cannot find file however the file it says it cannot find is the correct name and the image is located in the same folder save as html...is this a pc security problem? Tried different images...saving as jpg, html...thanks

Example: Search in Google = Royal Navy Open link in Wikipedia. Wikipedia has an image I would like to open. When I click on the image a get a blank window with this in the address:

Cannot send AOL Email from Firefox (works in IE)

Started happening today. Worked previously. I have shutdown all add-ons (Ad blocker sometimes disables buttons on websites) to no avail.

This occurs in the read, compose or reply AOL Mail POP-UP, the blue AOL buttons to reply, send, etc... do not respond at all. But they do work from the main AOL Inbox page.

AOL's Blue toolbar buttons. ON compose email pop-up send, save, spelling, delete do not respond.

On AOL's read email pop-up, that similar blue toolbar buttons, do not respond, Reply, reply all, ...

AOL does work successfully from IE.

i currently run on firefox 13 i would like to update to 18 but everytime i allow the update everythink works fine untill i close down the laptop.once i restart firefox opens but in seconds the window appears saying firefox is not responding,windows checks for the problem but finds nothing i am also unable to check in safe mode because that fails aswell,i end up having to re-unistall everytime.its becomeing very annoying any help greatly appreciated.

This happens every time I restore my session: whenever I restore my session, instead of loading each tab automatically like it's supposed to do, it only loads the tab I'm on & SOME of the others, so I have to go to each tab (a lot of them) and then the pages load. This is extremely frustrating and is such a waste of time! How do I get EVERY tab to load automatically? This has been driving me nuts! Please help! Thanks. Also, it STILL happens in Safe Mode (I tested that in December). I also have my settings correct (says for the browser to load tabs automatically. Please help!

I know that there used to be a feature on the website where we could ask a question and then wait for someone to answer us (NOT the forums) if we needed a quicker response. Where did it go? I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks.

I am using Firefox 13.01 on a Mac os an I am using electronic box a Canadian ISP. I receive the message when i go to https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=electronicbox and a few others

"you have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. Information that you see or enter on this page could easily be read by a third party."

The message clearly states that infomraiton can be read or enter can be read by a third party. I would like to know why "youtube" which has https, or SSL service which I am using still displays that message?

When I type in a single word search query in the address bar, it takes me to Comodo's search page with the following message (for search term "shirin")

Sorry, "shirin" does not exist or could not be found

longer search queries however redirect me to the default google search. I tried changing the "browser.fixup.alternate.enabled" feature in about:config and also the changed the default search engine in same tab but it did not work. Despite un-installing Comodo quite some while ago the problem persists. I also tried resetting firefox from "troubleshooting information" - unsuccessfully.

It's a rather small issue but I find it very annoying. I've tried other fixes suggested by Firefox support page however nothing seems to be working.

I cannot seem to get the tools button in firefox, where can I find it or what do I need to do. I am trying to set a couple of home pages and the help section says to select the tool option and it is not there.
