I use firefox now on another computer but it is failing. Someone set firefox up so I could make it bigger and use different colors for my email and facebook but I don't know how to do it on my new computer. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks, Michele

Support for enablePrivilege has been removed in Firefox (Bug 546848), so it is no longer possible to get special elevated privileges by using this method.

If a web page (or local html page) is using this then they will have to use other ways get what they want like providing a Firefox extension.

Where is it possible to find an exension of this kind (if it exists)?

I have Mozilla Firefox, if not false the version is 3._._. And I have uninstall it. I also have download the new version, 18.0.2. When I want to run it, a window appear and ask for the password of the administrator or use by current user. And I do not know the password yet. What should I do for this case? Thank you.

i leave my pc on 24/7 and every day it updates from firefox browser version 11 to firefox browser version 18 even though i have updates set to "never check" also when i check update history it indicates never updated

I've read countless articles on how to fix this problem, however, the problem continues. I seem to have some sort of permanent Caret Browsing on this browser. I've gone into about:config and turned it true/false and the problem still remains. I have no idea how to fix this problem. Also, regardless of pressing ctrl + f7, nothing pops up, even when it's turned on to do so. It's incredibly annoying and I'd like help with fixing this issue immediately before my poor keyboard breaks due to my frustration.

I received an email from HOTMAIL as below telling me to change the email client server to leave email message on the server. Now all emails that I reply from my blackberry device cannot be seen in Sent Folder when I open the hotmail account by using desktop computer.

How to change the server option? in what menu? I cannot find in Mozilla's Tool menu. Thank you for helping me sorting out this problem.

How do I move 1 and only 1 bookmark folder from 1 computer to another? Both computers are using Firefox. I only want to move 1 bookmark folder. NOT all my bookmarks. I DO NOT want to alter the bookmarks on the other computer other than adding 1 folder. This seems like it should be easy but thus far seems impossible. I can't be the only one who saves bookmarks on different computers.

Multiple links became highlighted and linked together. When I try to launch just one of the links, it will not open individually - in fact, none of the links will open at all. When I enter one of the URLs manually, a new tab appears labeled "Connecting" with a continually spinning circle of death. The URL changes to "about:blank" and the page remains empty. I'm a first time Firefox user and I have no idea how to even approach a solution. I'm working on deadline and am desperate. Can some p-l-e-a-s-e help?

Every 10 min. or so my screen background goes gray, and everything stops. I can still read what's on the screen, but can't do anything. In about 10 to 15 seconds, the screen comes bactkto normal. Please---any suggestions. Thanks

So originally, Firefox 11 was annoying me by adding an unsolicited homepage to my tabs every time I start the stupid thing, demanding that I should update a variety of plugins that I don't need to disable but don't care to upgrade until I actually need to. I started a query about that.

Then this support site very "helpfully" decided to throw an error and delete my whole post.

I have no reason to upgrade Firefox and no reason to update or delete the 3 or 4 addons that Firefox keeps whining about. This thing is just a mongoloid following me around offering helpful advice about how tasty spaghetti is while I'm at work.

When I try to reserve a book on the library website I get a message : The requested document is not available in Firefox's cache. As a security precaution, Firefox does not automatically re-request sensitive documents. This just started happening yesterday, and until then it always worked.

Im trying to upgrade to version 18.0dmg Firefox on my Mac but it always remains as "Starting" upon downloading. I currently have 11.0 running on my Mac. Can you explain what is going on? Thanks Joseph

The problem is when site provides you with "Wiki translation" service. If I point cursor on the line the site shows in an floating window the translation of a string or it's original. It's very annoying service! I may turn it off by not allowing scripts in browser, but I need them (scripts playing) on the other tabs!...

Is there any other way to stop this function.

I'm puzzled about change in the way one of my bookmarked pages opens since updating my Firefox. The page is for the "Android" view of Google Tasks, and as such it might not be officially supported by Firefox on Windows...BUT it had been working fine for ages, and it works fine in Google Chrome and IE9. Interestingly, the page loads as expected when the bookmark is set to load in the Sidebar.

You will need to be logged in to a Gmail account with Tasks to check this for yourself.

The change occurred sometime between Firefox 14 and 15. When the page loads (see URL), it shows a grey full-width box with the word "Loading..." in it. Previously, that box would disappear after a split second and the Tasks list would become editable (still works this way in other browsers) but in Firefox the "Loading" box stays there and the page behind it is locked. I tried using the Inspect Element option to hide the parent div -- and that does indeed hide the grey box -- but the Task list remains uneditable. I tried loading the page in the sidebar -- the exact same URL -- and it works fine!! (ie no Loading message)

I would just like for the Loading message to disappear after the page loads so I can continue to use this convenient view of my tasks.

EDIT: I noticed it says Firefox 11 on the side...that's not correct, this is Firefox 16.0.2
