Windows Vista Home Premium. I've gone through all the items for fixing cookie problems including deleting cookies, cleaning all temp files, uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox 20 (twice). Cookies appear to store, but are deleted when I leave the site. Cookie settings are selected to store. Google Chrome browser works OK, but IE9 has a similar problem.

It's in color and constantly moving within its' frame. The ad is dead centered on the screen. Once I continue on to another site from Firefox the ad is gone. It's specific to Firefox. It's not logical that you've done this to torment your users. You're a non-profit. I will have to, very reluctantly, remove Firefox from my computer, though, regardless. How did Groupon worm its way onto my screen? The coincidence is that several days ago I unsubscribed from receiving Groupon's offers/ads. Could this be revenge? There's a meanness apparent here. Thank you for your attention and quick resolution. Allen R. Piper

I would like to keep the google search as it is, in terms of using it as the search engine. I do not wish to change that. I would like to reset or clear the search results from the searchbar however on the startup page at about:home. Is that possible and how could I do this? Is it somethings I need to reset in the about.config file? I have already reset the mstone, setting and the results are still there. Thank you so much, for helping me with this issue.

Enable cookies Make sure your cookies are enabled. To enable cookies, follow these browser-specific instructions.

Clear cache and cookies If you have cookies enabled but are still having trouble, clear your browser's cache and cookies.

Adjust your privacy settings If clearing your cache and cookies doesn't resolve the problem, try adjusting your browser's privacy settings. If your settings are on high, manually add www.google.com to your list of allowed sites.

I went to internet explore and it did the same thing and I allowed blocked content and when It reloaded it showed the entire page. I have ended all my open sessions in facebook Ive almost tried everything. I even turned off my firewall to see if it would do something then and then it was the same problem. Please I love firefox I absolutely refuse to use another browser they just dont stack up against firefox please help.

Every time I enable cookies (set it to custom enable) and I press ok, it didnt change. I go back into options and the information didnt change. I thought that the plugins had something to do with this so I tried browsing in the same site with all of the plugins disabled but that didnt work. Every time I press ok to change the cookies information, it just goes back to default whenever i go back into the options menu.

I have the privacy option set to "Remember History" but no cookies are ever remembered. This occurs with all sites that use cookies. I am running Windows XP SP3. This problem has been there for a long time on various Firefox updates. I'm stuck with IE 8 for my bank and others that require cookies.

Using Firefox 19.0.2 (Windows XP SP3).

Is there some way to allow Firefox to show ONLY a list of current session cookies while in private browsing mode, rather than a list of the normal cookies?

First of all, basic cookie handling appears to be working fine for me, in both normal mode and in private browsing: Cookies set during private browsing are deleted as expected when exiting Firefox or when toggling back to normal browsing.

HOWEVER...

I am unable to SEE the new cookies that are added during a private browsing session.

If I start Firefox normally, toggle to private browsing mode, and then go to Options> Show Cookies, the window opens showing a long list of my "normal" cookies.

Previously, the cookies window would appear to be EMPTY when starting a private browsing session. After browsing a while, and then rechecking the list I would see only the cookies set during that private browsing session.

NOW, during a private browsing session, when I recheck the cookies list I see only my normal cookies, and NONE of the new session cookies appear in the list (the same cookies are shown as before switching to private mode).

I have tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode, with no change in behavior. I have also tried disabling add-ons, with no change.

List of add-ons installed:

Adblock Pluss 2.2.3 BetterPrivacy 1.6.8 Ghostery 2.9.3 Googlebar Lite 4.9.7 IE View 1.5.6 Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.3.1 PrivacyChoice TrackerBlock 2.2 Status-4-Evar 2013.02.16.23 Bookmark Favicon Changer 1.74 (disabled) CheckPlaces 2.6.2 (disabled)

Suggestions?

Thanks!

The cleanup did not affect my bookmarks, they are all there. History however seems to be gone forever, a reference list that I took months to set up and that means an equally long setback to an editorial project. Weep, hair tearing, ashes all over my torn off clothes will not, apparently, restore that history. Booahhh! Tell me there is some home, please.

Hi,

I'm wondering how to keep cookies from certain website when Firefox closes, for example I'm spending some time on www.kongregate.com it's a website with flash games and as you may suspect I'd like to keep my progress from those games for future visits, however whenever I close Firefox it automatically deletes files from "C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\########\assets.kongregate.com\", that file has saves from games from kongregate and I want to keep that, anyway I'll post a list of my Privacy settings to help you help me achieve what I'm writing here about also "ON" means that box has check mark and "OFF" that it doesn't:

Tracking:

-Tell websites I do not want to be tracked - ON

History:

-Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

-Always use private browsing mode - OFF

-Remember my browsing and download history - OFF

-Remember search and form history - OFF

-Accept cookies from sites - ON (I've added www.kongregate.com as well as *www.kongregate.com* to exception list with "Allow" option)

-Accept third-party cookies - ON

-Keep until: I close Firefox

-Clear history when Firefox closes - ON

Location Bar:

-When using the location bar, suggest: Nothing

Options for "Clear history when Firefox closes

When I quit Firefox, it should automatically clear all:

History:

-Browsing History - ON

-Download History - ON

-Form & Search History - ON

-Cookies - ON (Corrected typo)

-Active Logins - OFF

-Cache - ON

Data:

-Saved Passwords - OFF

-Site Preferences - OFF

-DownThemAll! History & Queue - OFF (Not that this one matters)

-Offline Website Data - OFF

These are my current settings which I believe should allow me to keep cookies from kongregate while other cookies are being deleted, but if that is not the case please tell me which options should be set at what to allow me keep cookies from kongregate, if it is not possible to have that then please suggest me some extensions that would allow me to keep cookies from kongregate while deleting others.

Thanks in advance!
