In the 20.0.1 update, I noticed when you accidentally close your window your browsing it automatically closes your downloads. Previous versions when you close your window and reopen Firefox your downloads are unaffected until your downloads are finished or you cancel it yourself. Is there a setting I can set that my downloads are unaffected when I close my window.

After I downloaded 20.0.1, I found that I my cursors and tab key no longer functioned within Firefox (they function everywhere else on my laptop). This wasn't a problem until the latest version, but I can't find any solution. I made sure that my Accessibility options were set to make sure my cursor keys would navigate, but it still won't work. This is more than annoying. Help?

Do disabled add-ons use resources? Would removing them completely use less resources? The reason I ask is, I have quite a number of add-ons in the disabled state that I have not removed in case I decide to reactivate/use them again. I was just wondering if having the add-ons associated with the FF software, even in their disabled state, caused Firefox to use any more resources (cpu/ram) than if they were completely removed? If it makes no difference whatsoever in ram/cpu usage if the disabled add-ons are removed or not removed, then I'll just leave them disabled and undeleted. But since my Firefox eats up more and more cpu and memory the longer I use it, I'm interested in getting rid of anything that eats resources, especially if I don't really use them.

I don't think my question is specific to my tech specs, but am using: Windows XP Pro, SP3, and Firefox 9.0.1 (which I intend to upgrade when I finish researching what version is best for me in terms of performance, but especially compatibility with my essential add-ons). so i was able to right click say on an article or a photo and it show a list of places i could share ,in my case it is to share on face book. how do get that back?

While downloading with Mozilla Firefox if by any means my computer crashes or shutdown unexpectedly I lose all data that had been downloaded so far. How to recover the downloaded data without a need to start all the way back from scratch to download the same data. Please help me if there are any means to recover downloaded mbs and continue from where it has stopped, so that I can avoid losing extra mbs and time to go back again and restart downloading.

I delete emails from inbox. They go to trash mail. The emails in the trash folder will then reappear in my inbox. I then have to delete them again and again and again. Why is this happening? How do I fix it?

Until some days ago I opened for example this link http://new.livestream.com/accounts/1605491/events/2075320 and the live stream started in the middle of the screen. Now I open the link and get a frozen picture with a triangle play symbol.When I touch the button it tells me the link has to be opened with an extra application and I can choose the Google video player. I extra installed FF because it could play the live stream. All other browsers I tried show the same behavior as FF now. I'm using Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2. Please advise, thanks in advance.

Using OpenSUSE 12.2. If I have more than one profile for Firefox, say Profile1="default", and Profile2="mywife" then links in Thunderbird won't open in Firefox 18 or 19 when Firefox is Default Browser. However if I erase one of the profiles (any one of them) then Firefox starts behaving normally. Other browsers, Chromium or Chrome do handle thunderbird links appropiately. I have seen that many people seem to have a similar problem. I am writing this hoping it could help developers to eliminate the bug.

Certain websites that I like to visit regularly are very slow as a result of some slow-running javascripts. I used to handle this by turning off js as a matter of course, turning it back on only on an as needed basis, which resulted in much faster browsing. As a bonus, this also meant that I became less trackable via my browser footprint.

But with Firefox 19.0 the option for turning js on/off has disappeared from the options, meaning I have to pull up an about:config page instead, then do a search to find the option, then turn it off or on as needed.

This is a bit of a pain, actually; I am the world's worst typist, at least on my mobile, so anything that might help would be much appreciated. Is it possible to instead bookmark a pair of url strings, one to turn js on, the other to turn it off? Or is there some other, better way in general of handling this? My Foscam FI8910W, opens after sign in, with three modes to choose from. Only the ActiveX mode, in IE, works to allow recordings to be made. Sometime back, just after I bought this new laptop, a free AT&T program with McAfee, is available for AT&T users. But this app, can only be loaded into Internet Explorer, and something wrong with IE, prevented it from happening. I contacted AT&T Tech support, allowed the tech onto my machine, and even he could not solve it. He then opened Firefox I already had, and installed some program, that made Firefox actually act like IE, so that McAfee software, could be downloaded and installed. It worked, using Firefox to replace IE, to download and install, but the print spooler on my pc, went bad, and would not work to use my printer. Dell tech also took control of the pc, found a complete Windows 7 reinstall was needed, and he did so. Now, the print spooler works, but the fresh install, did away with the software the AT&T Tech added to Firefox.

IE is a pain, but we need it, for some sites, like for the Activex mode, with my camera. I tried pening it in Firefox, in the ActiveX mode, and it opens, but with no picture. When I click on Device Management, to go to settings, I can't. What I get, is a small pop up balloon on lower right, that says 'javascript:administrator0'. Thinking maybe Javascript was disabled, I checked in options, and it is not, it's checked, thus enabled. I am on my pc, as administrator, so now I am stuck. Is there someone who can explain how to make it work, so I can use my camera in ActiveX mode, so I can actually record tings, if need be, when I leave? Thanks in advance. Oh, My Win 7, has the 64 bit OS, not the 32 if that helps.

I know there's a setting for this somewhere, but it's not in the options dialog under any of the tabs. Also, it would be nice to be able to control this via CSS or JavaScript. The issue comes up as FF seems to add a stroke to icon fonts when viewed in OS X machines.

I am using firefox on my Samsung tablet and I cannot find anywhere in settings that will allow me to change the date forkmat to the european date setting. Can anyone help me out please?

I used the ‘import data from another browser’ to import my browsing history from Safari & Chrome, but only some (and not all of it) showed up. Any tips would be welcome. Thank you!

Most of the time, I do not want to use https and I do not want any sort of site security certificate watch and I do not care if the connection "is an untrusted connection" I just want to do what I want to do.

So I do NOT want to identify or correct conditions causing these warnings, I want to turn off both the warning and the protection.

I have iframe in an html page,within iframe i navigate to different pages/site,

but when i press back button firefox take me to history page of browser rather than history of iframe

I want back button to take me to last page visited in iframe.
