I want to be able to save Tab Group in Panorama as a Session, that is not only URIs but also a History of every Tab in Group and all the rest usually saved session attributes (like Tab Position within Group etc).
- click the Tab Group button at the Tab Strip
- right click on a Group
- select Save Group
then you should have saved session named after this group (plus date, possibly).
There certainly should be such a basic functionality as saving/restoring Tab Groups for later use but I cannot find it in the UI. Perhaps it's just hidden somewhere?
PS
- and yes, I already (have to) use Session Manager addon (because Adobe Flash player plugin still crashes FF and session restore may be inop);
- also, I know about 'right click on a tab, 'Bookmark all tabs' feature -- it only saves tabs' URIs and clutters my bookmarks.
Is there a way to set min and max tab widths in firefox 17 or 18?
The browser tab width maximum and minimum options are no longer in about:config and the "tab width clip" has no effect on tab width in firefox 17 or 18.

It is like somehow when I cleared my history it stopped adding new history at least in the tabs page. Can I get it to turn that function back on?

Hi, I followed the Mozilla guide to use tab manager or whatever its called and ended up losing all my tabs rather than saving them which was my original intention. The part where it says "now hold ctrl shift + e" is pretty stupid because as soon as you do that you can no longer see the webpage guide that you're reading from. Needless to say, I had no idea what to do next so I clicked the first X I could see to get rid of the tab manager and apparently it destroyed all my tabs.
Anyway, I managed to locate a backup of my sessionrestore.js but for some reason it just WILL NOT load into firefox.
I replaced the new .js with the old one and opened firefox but it just loads the firefox search bar or w/e it is. I have tried checking all the about:config settings and they all appear to be working.. I tried typing about:sessionrestore and it just brings up a "This is embarrassing" page but with no tabs in the restore box.
I have opened the .js in notepad and all the web pages seem to be there but I can't make head nor tail of the thing and to sift through it all and find the tabs I lost would take forever.
Its very frustrating and I have tried 6 different backups of sessionrestore.js None will work. Is something wrong with my firefox or is this whole function just faulty because I found hundreds of similar issues while googling for help.
I am on FF 19.0.2

For a long time my chosen websites appeared as thumbnail images on the new tab page when I began a new session, maybe since about FF15, I don't recall for sure. Recently, however, whilst using FF20.0.1 this behaviour stopped and none of the thumbnail images for my selected websites opened up, although the links to them remained and this behaviour has continued to FF21, which I have been using since yesterday (19th May). This is not a serious issue, but I do like things to work properly and to understand why they don't. I don't know why there should be a relationship between the two events, but the problem began after having opened the new tab page and before the images opened up I clicked on one of the links - where the thumbnail image would normally be - to go to the website; thereafter FF failed to retain a memory of the thumbnail images from one session to the next. By the way, I never empty my history cache only my main web cache that has previously had no effect on my new tab thumbnails, not since about FF15 or so anyway.

I've used the instructions in the "Help" section to fix a tab problem. It did not work. I'm not that interested in having the "community" help me. I would however appreciate talking to a Mozilla representative who can quickly cure the problem for me. I'm guessing a two minute phone conversation will get it done.
Thanks, James

This just started after I reinstalled Firefox after sending my laptop to Dell for repair. Of course, they reformatted the hard drive. :( I have tried various settings in the options sections for tabs, such as switching to new window immediately. It does do that but as I said, after a few seconds, FF brings back up my email page and I have to click on the thumbnail tab at the bottom. It's doing this with every link I click on in gmail.
My "open new tab" button does not work.
When I press the "open new tab" button, nothing happens. What can I do?

Whenever I click a link in firefox, whether I option-click it or right-click it and choose "Open in new Tab." Firefox lately always opens a new window, not a tab. For the life of me, I cannot get it to open a page in a new tab.
There was a time when I had one window open, and every time I would choose to create a new tab, it would create it in that window instead of the window I was currently in, but I have since closed that window, and now I cannot get a link to open in a new tab no matter what I do.
I have tried both selecting and deselecting "Open new windows in a new tab instead" In Firefox preferences, restarting Firefox in "Safe" mode, etc. to no avail.

Recently, FF has started opening my last tabs when I start a fresh session. I have already checked to make sure that none of the applicable settings are enabled, such as under Options->General: When FF starts "SHOW MY HOMEPAGE" is selected. But for some reason, it opens my last session. The only way I've been able to get it to stop doing this is by having it delete my browsing history after I close the session. I don't want this since I often use my history to re-find information I need for class research. I have made certain that all my settings are the same from before FF started doing this. It only started doing this after the computer was turned off for a long weekend.
I've already searched through the Mozilla help pages and all I can find is how to restore the previous session or similar. I don't want to restore my previous session, I want it to stop restoring my previous session without having to delete my browsing history each time.
