My mobile's android version is 4.1.2. At the present time, I cannot watch and download any youtube videos. If flash player doesn't support any mobile using android version over 4.0 , how can I watch and download these flash videos?

Is there any way to start Firefox for Android in private browsing mode by default ?

I have tried searching here (didn't find a solution) and also tried changing the setting in about:config but that didn't work.

It would also be nice to set FF for Android to clear private data on exit/quit.

Solutions to either problem would be greatly appreciated.

I am from Bangladesh. I have to frequently visit Bangla websites. Although chrome and opera mini supports Bangla Firefox for Android does not( What is the problem with Firefox). At least I could not find a way. Can anyone help me to see Bangla in Firefox?

Why does Firefox use so much space and how can I prevent or resolve this problem?

Details:

I am running Firefox 18.0 on Android 2.3.4. I moved Firefox to my 8GB SD Card. This problem happens in Firefox 19 & Firefox 20 as well.

Firefox is using a huge amount of space. It is the largest application on my phone by a long shot. It seems that Firefox will grow without bounds until it triggers a "Low on space" warning on the Android device. When this "Low on space" warning is reached, Firefox becomes unstable, and I am unable to install other Android applications. Often applications are unable to update themselves due to Firefox's high space utilization, and cannot receive security updates which is a security problem.

Please see the following screenshot which shows that Firefox is using about 30MB worth of space, and is about twice as large as the next largest App, Google Maps.

If I go to "Settings: Applications: Storage Use: Firefox", Android tells me that Firefox is using the following amount of space:

   Storage:
   Total: 29.60Mb
   Application: 1.85MB
   Data: 27.76MB

   Cache: 0.00B

When Firefox is freshly installed, the "Total:" use is closer to 3MB. But within a few days, this number grows to 30MB.

After a fresh install, Firefox loads websites very fast with almost no lag. After a few weeks, it becomes slower and slower. Getting to the point where it wil take aboit 20 seconds to display the Top Sites/Bookmarks window. Then sometimes opening a page, the loading circle stops moving and it freezes the phone. After about 15 seconds everything works again. The only way I found to fix this horrendous problem is to go into control panel for Firefox and Clear Data. I dont like doing that because I lose all of my bookmarks. It seems the Cache always shows "0 bytes" so there never is nothing to clear out. I would like to know where this "Reset" function is for Android. I see they have it for Windows versions..but what about Android?

In Firefox for Android, I can open tools, downloads & see the .exe file that I want to install but when I highlight it to install it, the highlight blinks off. How do I install this software to my Samsung Tab 2?

I updated Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy S2, and after opening the new version I discovered my bookmarks were gone. Is there any way I can get them back?

Not sure if this is relevant, but when I look at the Application settings, it shows firefox has about 400MB of data. I have no cleared this data as I feel the bookmark info may be included in that somewhere? But is there any way to access it?

On my PC I clicked "Set Up Sync" and then "I Have an Account" ans it asks to enter the code on my other device. So I went onto my Android Samsung Galaxy Nexus and opened Firefox.

Went to the home screen and there is not Sync button. Only; Top sites, Your tabs from last time, Add-ons for your Firefox, and Synced Tabs.

Going to More -> Settings -> Sync -> Account with Firefox Sync. It only shows an option to not sync and says when it last synced. The more only shows; Sync now, remove account and help.

Where do I enter the code on my Android so I can set up Firefox Sync on my PC?

Have had a lot of problems with Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy S2 running ICS 4.0.3. It will often hang, consume lots of RAM and overheat the phone. Sometimes killing all tasks helps sort this out but I normally end up having to reboot the phone (or remove the battery and replace) to be sure that the overheating stops. I've since wiped my phone and installed Firefox on the clean factory setting just in case some other app was interfering with Firefox's ability to function. I'm sad to say that it continues to behave in the same way. I'm an adamant user of Firefox and do not want to change browser so I make do but this issue happens at least once a day which is a bit worrying for the temperature of my phone and very frustrating since I have to reboot every time.

What's the easiest way to diagnose the issue? What steps should I take to figure out the cause of the problem? (I've already tried the obvious uninstall, reboot, install)
