I am now getting the 'well this is embarrassing...' message EVERY time I open Firefox; I have my Home page set to always open 9 tabs - these are the SAME tabs I have opened at start-up for about 2 years - WHY this annoying message now?! When I click 'close' the Home page opens with all the tabs with no problem, but the message is really irritating & doesn't seem to be telling me anything, as there isn't a problem with any of the tabs? NB: In case you ask 'why 9 tabs'?; these are essential websites I use every time I am browsing/working; I cannot keep opening them manually every time. Please advise why this message comes up as here seems to be no problem, & how I can get rid of it? Thanks.

I go to a website that requires a Java plug-in. I downloaded the latest update (21) for Java 7 from Oracle but when I go to Add-Ons>Plugins in Firefox 20 the Java plug-in doesn't appear and when I do a search at the Get Add-ons nothing that mentions the Java Plug-in shows up. Where can I get the plug-in required to use with JRE7u21?

Mac OS 10.7.5, Firefox 20.0, Java Runtime Environment 7 update 21

When in firefox using Google maps and click on "EARTH" I receive a window indicating that to use 3D I need to install 21.0 Google Earth Plug-in with a "Download" option to click on. Note: Firefox 21.0 and MAC OS 10.7.5 have all current software updates installed. Safari & Chrome do not request for any plug-ins and 3D Earth option works fine. ANY HELP?

PS. my MAC does have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 installed but my MAC, Safari & Chrome work fine.

Whenever I click a link in firefox, whether I option-click it or right-click it and choose "Open in new Tab." Firefox lately always opens a new window, not a tab. For the life of me, I cannot get it to open a page in a new tab.

There was a time when I had one window open, and every time I would choose to create a new tab, it would create it in that window instead of the window I was currently in, but I have since closed that window, and now I cannot get a link to open in a new tab no matter what I do.

I have tried both selecting and deselecting "Open new windows in a new tab instead" In Firefox preferences, restarting Firefox in "Safe" mode, etc. to no avail.

How do I fix this?

I have all the latest versions of Firefox and the plugins...yet I have experienced this problem with the last several versions of FF - every 2 days or so the Flash Plug-in gets set to 'Disabled'.

To correct this I simply go in and re-enable it and the browser works fine again for several days.

I have done all the updates, the Flash update is the latest etc.

Any tips?

I recently updated firefox and found that soundcloud wasn't working. It's loading songs but once I press play nothing happens. I received an alert in the top corner of the page suggesting I turn off adblocker or enable flash. I don't have an adblocker and I have the flash plugin and it is up to date. I can't figure out what else it could possibly be.

I don't have Java installed so clearing my cache isn't going to fix the issue. Please help ;__;

I just upgraded my Mozilla Firefox. My yahoo mail loads but opening an email takes forever and I cannot reply, forward, or delete any mail items.

My yahoo account works without a problem on my iphone so I know it is a problem with the computer/mail interface.

What can I do to fix this or go back to the old version of Firefox where I had no problems?

Firefox freezes since v19 update when going to some links I often use. Safe mode does not help. Firefox v20beta1 did not help either. I have to kill Firefox to end. I am running Firefox on an 2011' model of an iMAC.

The new Firefox plug-in Hola seems to have taken over my computer. I deleted it but now when I attempt to go to Hulu (the video site) I am redirected to the Hola website and asked to dowload new software. I have a Mac running OS X 10.7.5.

This Hola program is insidious - Mozilla should ban it.

Firefox is suffering from seriously annoying lag spikes on my mac, while other browsers work perfect. The problem is the worst when watching Youtube video's or when typing (text only appears after 1-2 seconds when the spike happens.)

I've tried the about:config stuff, I used Speedyfox, googled for days but nothing seems to be working. What's worth trying? I love Firefox and I don't want to switch to another browser.

Could it be firefox plugin process? It seems to be eating a lot of RAM from times to times (I updated Java and Flash).

My issue began yesterday and I can't seem to correct the problem. Every time I open firefox i'm met with the annoying restore message, (it's not usually annoying but because it happens every time I start firefox it's really starting to bother me) even if I close all my tabs before hand, close firefox and then quit the program entirely. I can understand this happening if say, I force quit when I had tabs open, but I'm not. And that too, was never an issue before.

I'm using Firefox 20.0 on my Mac, running 10.7.5 (Lion).

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling firefox. I also deleted the sessionstore.bak and .js files. This fix worked initially, the first time I opened firefox, but hasn't worked subsequently.

Moreover, I'd rather not completely turn off the restore, if possible, because I may actually need to recover my data at some point.

I have three extensions on my browser: greasemonkey, tumblr savior and Adblock plus. I've had ABP on my browser since I bought my computer 2 years ago. Tumblr savior and greasemonkey I downloaded last night after this issue was already occuring.

Unbelievable. Firefox STILL has ZERO quickcommand for merging all open windows into a single window with multiple tabs??? How is this possible? Very slipshod of y'all. But then again, thanks for all of the other great options. Would totally appreciate this feature as an addition to your next update. Have found an "add on" that supposedly supplied this much requested and very popular command, however, all of the links take me to a mozilla add on page that claims "the requested page cannot be found"... very disappointing. If y'all know where I can get an ACTIVE link to any add on which supplies the above feature amongst its options, I'd really truly appreciate it. Otherwise, please try to do add the aforementioned in your next release. I'm on a new iMac running OSX 10.6.8

My search results are coming back in Russian and not English. I have the correct language set up in my preferences and have tried installing the British/UK version of Firefox but this has not helped in any way. Does any have a solution?

I have three computers. 27" iMac, 11" MacBook Air, 13" MacBook Pro. All my bookmarks are synced with Xmarks. On the iMAc and the MacBook Air, the bookmarks work as they should. The bookmark list drops down when I click on Bookmarks and all the subfolders within the main folders contain the bookmarks I have saved in them. On the MacBook Pro this is not the case for one of my folders. It contains about 10 or 12 subfolders and only 5 or 6 of the subfolders show bookmarks when highlighted.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and then syncing bookmarks again but the problem still persists. I have checked file permissions and they are set as they should be.

I am now at a loss for what to do.

I have a nearly-new Mac 10.7.5. Downloaded Firefox just fine. But many (not all) pages give me a popup saying that additional plugins are needed to display all the content. When I click the "Install missing plugins" button, I get a popup saying, "No suitable plugins were found." Does this mean the popup saying I am in need of a plugin is false, or what?

I was just working on an eBay listing and I pressed the "delete" key when the cursor was not in a field and it made my browser go back a page. In doing this, I lost an ENTIRE LISTING WORTH OF WORK! This is such an annoying feature! I don't want my delete key to do anything except delete text. How can I disable this feature that makes the delete key perform the same function as the "back arrow". For example, if the cursor was out of this box right now and I pressed "delete" by accident, I would have to re-type all of this text! This is a stupid feature. Please tell me, how do I disable it?
