After switching to beta of FF 20.0, the window title always shows "- (private browsing)". As I'm constantly in private browsing, is there any way to disable displaying that? Previous versions only showed the title of the site.

Since the 20.0 download, every time Firefox opens with" Well, this is embarassing" (having trouble recoverings windows and tabs) then lists windows and tabs for each site I have been on. I choose one - hit restore - and then I can open my home page. I went to Support and tried Reset, retstarted and opened Firefox but the same window appeared again. This time Windows and Mozilla support were on the list. What can I do next? I have no idea how to fix this. I have a MacBook Pro.

For a few days now, everytime I go to my news feed on Facebook, Firefox freezes and I have to force it to stop. This means everytime I click on the Facebook logo or go to www.facebook.com.

I have already reinitialised Firefox, but that doesn't help the problem. Why is this happening?

Since a week, the browser will forward me to "http://www.purchasereviews.net/donate.php" whenever i click on a link to another page. The page source however direct to the original intended address. The address specified link above will show up in the status bar at the bottom of the browser. Uninstalling / re-installing the browser or any other older version of firefox doesn't seem to help. Safari has no problems when visiting the same pages, and neither the virus or malware scanner pick it up.

When I go to a website and click on a link to a PDF, and it opens in the new Firefox PDF viewer, some random letters are missing from the text. If I download the file and look at it in either Reader or Acrobat, it looks fine. I'm a little concerned because this file is part of my online portfolio. Is this a known issue? If so, is it likely to be fixed soon? Is there anything about the way a PDF is created that could cause (or prevent) this?

I'm not worried about the fact that I see this on my machine, I'm worried about whether other people will see it on theirs -- so I'm mostly curious about how widespread this is and if there's anything I can do at my end to prevent it. Thanks for any suggestions!

I have a repeatable fault where even after quitting Firefox correctly, the next time Iopen, I will get a crash report saying there was a problem and listing the last pages I used (screenshot available if needed). Since the upgrade, firefox also runs much slower than previously when swapping between pages and if I dont restart it on a regular basis I feel it starts slowing other applications - almost as if it just takes over all the memory, given the hard drive activity/program switch times.

If i load up youtube, click on a video it plays normal, its loading, sound is working. but when i open a new tab and then go back to the youtube tab my video stutters, or i could basically say it stopped its les then one frame per second and it skips about 50 frames everytime. sound most of the times does work but also stops sometimes. It only happens when changing tab, not if i scroll down on the videopage or anything. its really annoying. i've tried google chrome and safari aswell, all works fine.

have you heard this before, is there anything i can do?

Since today and mostly when using Google products, (such as gmail and maps), my firefox browser keeps freezing. The screen turns to black, even the menu bar disappears and it lasts for about a minute. Even just now, when I type this it turns black for a few seconds and clicking won't help. Please help..

Please help me resolve this, it is driving me mad!

I've got this strange redirect Issie. I'm running Mac OSX 10.6.8 with Firebox 19.

When I click a link on random sites it redirects me to an irrelevant URL + advertising: linkbucks.com... [followed by the adress of the intenended site]

This occurs when leaving the page you are on (e.g. changing page a site). It happens on any site and appears to be random.

Is this a virus/trojan? Or an attack on the browser? How can I get rid of it?

Since I started using FF 17.0.1 I've had problems. The longer I'm on the slower FF goes. Sometimes it will hang. Might start working again or might need restarted. Sometimes it just crashes completely. Just started happening with FF 17.

The ‘Welcome to Firefox’ page that shows up after an update is installed has been coming up when ever I start up Firefox since I did the last update to 18.0.1, several days ago. How do I get it to stop?

I have a Mac and am using Firefox 19.0.2. I cannot install the Silverlight plug-in. I've tried every suggestion mentioned here and also had two tech support people from Microsoft trying to troubleshoot to no avail. How can I install this plug on on my Mac?

LinkedIn worked fine on Firefox 17.0.1 until my profile was upgraded to their "new" version. Now I can log on to the LinkedIn home page, but when I go to my profile page it is blank.

I don't have this problem when using Safari 5.1.7.

I've contacted LinkedIn as well and am waiting for their response.

Hello, I am using Firefox 19.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. Neither 'clear list' nor 'remove from list' (after highlighting) worK. I do not think I ever had this problem before updating. Is the problem solved, or should I go back to a previous version !? Also, I have added Adblock, each time I open a Firefox page, I get a pop up advertisement. If needed, I can provide a screen shot. This did not happen before either.

Installed Snow Leopard on Mac to bring up to 10.6.8. Then updated Firefox and updated so now at Firefox 20.0

In addition I frequently get the message "Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page.

I had neither of these problems with my previous version of Firefox.

I recently upgraded to lastest version of Firefox (18.0) but i now find several add-ons are not supported by this version. I had waited but still several are not supported.

is there an add-on or an easy method that shows me when I get the Firefox alert "update available do you want to install?" (my preference setting is ASK) that firefox / or a firefox add-on scans my list of add-ons and tells me

1) 5/60 enabled addons are not supported on this current version

2) 2/10 disabled addons are supported on this version

3) or a way to tag add-ons to say, if these are supported in current version, then install it. if not wait.

I would like this feature, so then i can make a more informed choice to install the firefox update or hold.

I do have the add-on > cleanest add-on manager (but that does not help with this issue) > add-on update checker (but that does not help with this issue, it notifies when update of the addon available, and allows you to control when the add-ons are updated)

I have a bookmark drop down that is as wide as the screen. Because of this I assume that this causes the folders to open on the left instead of the right. Is there something in about:con fig that I can change to control the width
