When I use the Firefox browser to surf the web, on nearly every web page I visit an invasive advertising platform creates anchor links on the web pages (anchor keywords with two hyperlinks under the anchor word) which when clicked takes the viewer to an advertisement. Most of the links seem to be part of an advertising platform owned by "Text Enhance," which I have contacted to complain about. They sort of played dumb. I said I thought it was the result of some malware from which they were the sole beneficiary and they assured me they didn't instigate it. I went to the Warrior Forum and some members suggested it sounded like it came from one of your extensions or plugins. My security and technology consultant scrubbed my computer and they deleted some of your extensions and plugins and the problem went away. But two weeks later, it's back and it's pervasive. Even words in my online banking accounts are showing these text links.

Aside from security concerns, my biggest fear is that they are stealing traffic from the websites I publish--websites where I'm trying to sell either my own or affiliate products. And that upsets me greatly.

I'm sure I'm not the only web user experiencing this problem. If other web publishers are also getting their traffic stolen and directed to a competing site, you can bet that there will be a class action lawsuit on the horizon for Mozilla. So I suggest you get to the bottom of this situation and rectify it, because a lawsuit will be the inevitable result.

I don't mean to alarm you because I use Firefox as my primary browser. However, I checked IE and Chrome and Chrome is exhibiting the same situation. So I'm not really sure how this is happening, and that's why I'm contacting you about it.

Please let me know if you know how to de-activate this invasive pest.

Question: How can I enable in Firefox (currently 7 - beta) to run javascript in the url bar. I mean running: javascript:alert('iaurt'); in the url bar. I remember this worked on previous firefox versions... And this works in IE but on Firefox it doesn't :(

I accidentally downloaded and wrote over the Firefox version I had with the new 7.0 version of Firefox after I read that my Mac OSX 10.4.11 is not compatible. Is there a way to download an older version, a compatible version of Firefox?

I switched to FF a few years ago and never had a problem Wonderful program. FF wanted to upgrade to V7, and it installed fine. Since then, FF locks up every five minutes so bad I have to reboot. My email locks up, yahoo freezes, and I cannot type more than 5 letters in a chat without lockup. Somehow, your annoying help section tries to blame this on other programs!

Helly, my problem started with FF 6. It keeps freezing the whole browser after a few minutes. I think every 15 minutes it's freezing. Now I went to the helpforum and somebody gave the advice to deinstall FF. Run CC Cleaner. And then reinstall FF. I did that, and seems to work. It wasn't hanging anymore. BUT it came back!!! I don't have a clue why. I changed nothing to my pc. Now I have upgraded to 7.0.1 and the problem of freezing is still here. When it freezes, my whole pc freezes. I can do nothing else. please fix it!

Ever since I installed Avg free 2012 I have been forced to put up with Avg isearch appearing on every single page which I did not have previously I absolutely hate when something is imposed on me and I think it it totally unfair that I dont have the final say on whether I want it or not. I would appreciate it very much if your team could provide a solution to this problem as I cannot find one myself. I have tried to remove this several ways none of which worked. I have disabled the addon, uninstalled Avg free 2012, went through the Avg settings and disabled linkscanner and all of its settings and I am still stuck with it. I would have asked Avg to help but you can only get help from avg if you have a paid version of Avg and besides Avg is probably benefiting in some way. Ok I noticed that the Firefox updates have been coming quite rapidly and that the latest version is Beat. I understand Beta versions will have bugs and kinks that need to be worked out. My Problem is websites load slow as crap or don't load all together. And getting on Facebook? Forget that! Facebook has enough issues without throwing a slow Browser in the mix. My question is this. Does Firefox 7 Beta have some issues with responsiveness and speed? I noticed alot of people having the same issue as far as browsing speed. And before anyone suggests clearing history and cache. I have already done that several times. I have even checked my computer for viruses and anything else that might cause a problem like that. Add-ons and any extra toolbars are either removed or disabled and certain sites will still not load properly. Any extra information or advice would be very much appreciated! Thank you! Firefox is so slow that it is easier to load ie8 and use that. It runs fine. I uninstalled Firefox and rebooted. Did not fix. I ran Glary Utilities and it found 400+ fixes. and rebooted, and did not fix. This problem showed early this morning.

Mozilla has updated Firefox beyond the point where common third-party applications are supported. Javascript is no longer enabled with my browser.

Why does Mozilla now issue automatic software updates that render me incapable of viewing many sites simply because you haven't coordinated with your vendors prior to release? Can you slow down a little and wait until things are compatible?

how can I get rid of it?

During normal usage Firefox will suddenly stop loading all pages in all tabs/windows. Every currently loading page remains blank, with the usual 'Connecting to ____' message. Any new tabs or windows opened, or any new page requests, get stuck in the same loop. The program itself does not hang and, other than failing to load pages, performs normally. No change in behaviour with all add-ons disabled. Seems to happen with any website, but seems to happen more often on pages with any elements that take excessively long to load. Only current solution is to close program and restart.

This is not a router/connectivity issue, IE and other programs can connect fine while the issue is occurring. Full system virus scan came up empty (Sophos/Ad-Aware/WinDefender). I believe I first starting having the problem with FF6, feels like it has become more frequent with FF7.

Drop in savings menu started coming up on web pages recently-shows up in upper right corner and usually about where the logout word is when you want to close a program upper right corner and shows coupons. not sure if they're usable as I did not ask to be shown anything by the program I did not add so I don't trust where it might take me. How can I eliminate it from the browser or block it from running in the browser? I just need some technical instructions on how to find it when it runs and stop it.

I don't know when it happend first, but when I open a video on youtube with Firefox 6.xx, I always get a window (title "Javascript Application") with the message "Error: Div is null".

I tried upgrading to FF 7.xx beta, and also 'downgrading' to FF 5.xx again, but the error still appears. When I disable Javascript, the error doesn't appear, but this workaround can't be the solution.

Everything is fine with Adobe flash player 10.3.183.10 , but once i updated it to 11.0.1.152. Every embedded flash content on every site i visited can not display properly.

Firefox will not let me into Bt.com. I can in Internet Explorer. Firefox says ....www2.bt.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate has expired..... Which seems unlikly For British Telecom. How do I check if this is safe and not corrupted or How should I override it....My computer date and time clock is correct.....Thanks Tony
