Hi, Somehow Yahoo toolbar has downloaded onto my pc. Yes I have downloaded a new software but it never asked me if I wanted Yahoo. I am very vigilant when I download software & I swear there was no mention of Yahoo.

I've been to the remove a software from the control panel on my windows 7 pc but there is no mention of Yahoo.

I've also checked the extensions on Firefox add ons but there is no Yahoo there either.

I've even removed Yahoo from the Registry and...

Yahoo still comes up!!! I've searched various forums etc & none of them mention the problem I have.

Does anyone please know how to remove this toolbar I do not want from my pc?

Any help please would be appreciated.

I downloaded the most recent Adobe FlashPlayer 11.1.r102 but that didn't help. I cannot view the slide show, and as for the vids, they only open using the external VLC program.

When using various websites, Google Search, Bluehost, Amazon etc., I get in the bottom address bar, many sites whilst loading the page.

Apart from slowing the connection to the site I am trying to get to, they are very irritating.

Any ideas how I get rid of them?

I have recently asked why 10.0.2 is so VERY slow. I have just now changed to 3.6.27. Works well and quite FAST - using same commands on both versions.

Something is very wrong with my earlier 10.0.2 installation, or with this software version.

I will continue with 3.6.27 until I hear that speed in 10.0.2 is verified.

I keep getting a message that my Firefox needs updating, but as I understand it, the system is not supported. What will happen if I don't update? Is it possible to update an old computer like mine?

Right now, using Kaspersky 9.0.0.736 and FireFox 3.6.27. Would like to upgrade both Kaspersky and FireFox, but don't want any conflict between the two versions. So would like to know how high I can go on FireFox, for starters. Using plugins AdBlock and NoScript, and want to keep those plugins.

Lke I sai I used to upload pictures to a web site that I belong to, woodworking site and we post pictures of work that we do. Since I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox I cannot do it anymore. I have an older version of Firefox on my laptop and it works fine there. Any help will be appreciate or maybe the answer is to go back on an older version, must be like microsoft still lot's of bugs in th enew version and let the users find them.

I am currently running Firefox 3.6.27 with MAC OS 10.5.8 - I can't afford a new laptop. I would like to contact Firefox directly to ask about security, etc with Firefox 3.6.27 - is there any way to contact them directly? thanks

On the BBC, New York Times, Guardian websites/home pages images load as usual (and ads are blocked). On the CNN and Washington Post sites no images load whatsoever.

This is true both in Firefox 3.627 (AdLock Plus, Download Helper, 1Pasword extensions installed) on my G4 Mac running OSX 10.5.8 and in Firefox 10.0.2 (AdLock Plus, Adlock Plus Pop-up Addon, Color Management, Sheep Systems Firefox Extension) on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8.

I also have Adlock in Safari on both computers but it doesn't block normal images from those same web pages, only ads.

I am new to Firefox and perhaps have messed up some Preference setting. I looked them over and nothing obvious pops out. Does anyone have an idea of what may be the problem?

I am currently running Firefox version 3.6.27 under Windows 7 on a 64 bit processor. The problem is that many of the characters are superimposed making it difficult to see my work - the characters are not fuzzy but they overlap and are often not in alignment. My question is this - when will you have a release that supports Windows 7 Pro 64 bit?

Given the nightmare encountered with the update recently, I took my laptop into to be "serviced" & was told there were so many with the same issues that the techs there were reverting to the 3.6 version that I'd already had & gave me back my peace of mind & a usable, efficient product with enough bells & whistles for my purposes. Immediately, your "update" again appeared with the message that the 3.6 version would only be maintained for a limited time. Why? When does it end? Then what?

Running firefox 3.6.27 on an older dell with xp home on it. I dont think it's wise to upgrade to a new version of firefox -notwithstanding some of the negative press on the newer versions. My question is would Zone alarm browser security 1.5.350.0 extension cause a shopping cart for wordpress( cashie commerce) to not allow the checkout page to load to complete the transaction? Is there a version of Zone alarm that will run on the current version of 3.6.27? On the plugin page off of 'tools' on firefox there is currently an red exclamation and saying that it's not compatible with that version on firefox. I also have had problems with bookmarks not putting pages in the right folders as well

Firefox has a lag of over a minute from when I click the firefox button on my toolbar, and the time FF actually comes up. I've tried disabling add-ons, and even reverting to an older version of FF - still, same problem. Any suggestions?

Each time Firefox wants me to upgrade to a new version, the longer I refuse, the more often it will crash my browser. This sort of conduct has been consistent over the past several updates, and so it must be done on purpose.

I REFUSE to upgrade to the current version, as I know that it is very unstable, and also incompatible with some of my programs which I WILL NOT uninstall for the sake of Firefox, just because its developers want me to.

Modzilla - get your act together and stop ENFORCING upgrades!

In early October 2012, Mozilla.org rolled out / pushed out a piece of code that forces Firefox (all versions) to go to www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck every time you restart the computer and re-open Firefox. The unauthorized intrusion is an issue. The constant nagging is unacceptable. Their attempts to recruit other web pages to join in the intrusion and nagging is inexcusable. Short of uninstalling Firefox after 20+ years, how do we get rid of the 'new' plugin checker?
