When launching firefox got the following error: XPCOMGlueLoad error for file ~/firefox/libxpcom.so libxul.so cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM (but file libxul.so is there) what do I do???

1. I have an eMac running Mac OS 10.5.8

 Processor Name:	PowerPC G4  (3.3)

 Memory:	1 GB
 Bus Speed:	133 MHz

 2. I use Firefox 3.6.24 as my browser 

3. The Firefox checking system says that the version of Shockwave Flash that I have installed, namely 10.1.82.76 (10.1.r82), presents a security VULNERABILITY and that I should immediately update it or disable it. On attempting to find an update I cannot locate a higher/more advanced version of Shockwave Flash that is compatible with my system. What should I do ?

I have installed a firefox update that is only compatible with imac' s with an intel processor & I have a ppc imac. Here is my imac info: Machine Name: iMac

I do not remember the number of the firefox version I was running prior to this update. Can you please tell me what version of firefox is compatible with the system I have.

we are trying to download the free upgrade to Firefox 8, It acts as though the download is happening. After it completes, we still get the notice that we are using an old version of Firefox. Thank you for any help you can give us.

Every version of firefox AFTER the 3.6 series has problems in dual monitor setups and I want to be able to keep all tabs I had open when I close firefox so when I open again they are there. In dual monitor if I use monitor 2 for firefox (which is the way I use it) the menu blink rapidly when I click on them and make very hard to navigate. What is it with the video setup in win7 I have to use an older version of winamp due to tearing in the second monitor? Have all you companies not fully learned who to implement dual monitor setups properly or is that not really a concern?

I have followed every instruction on fire fox to get my downloads window to show downloads and it still does not work, it remains blank. how can I get the downloads to show in the window?

i downloaded the new 8.0 version of firefox. took forever to dowload too. when i clicked on the exe file to install it, got a pop up window saying something like "could not open this file, file is corrupt" can anyone suggest what i do next? i have deleted that exe file now and am in the process of re-downloading to see how i go but any help would be appreciated in the meantime just in case it does this again.

How can i get firefox to stop asking me to update my plug ins. Its annoying, plus i really dont care. I only visit a handful of sites and im not worried about having any security issues.

don't know if foxfire is the right person to ask. The page and printing of the NYT I want to read is so large it wont' fit on the screen and I have to keep using the arrows at the bottom of the screen to go back and forth. Have tried to shrink it but in my inexperience I can't seem to make it happen.

Guys, when I click to save an image from the web, I sometimes miss with my mouse and instead of "save a picture as" I get a stinky "send a picture"! Shit, I HATE IT! If I want to send a picture, I'll send it myself, don't try to think for me. But this stinky "option" irritates me a lot!!! Plus, I have to shut down the sucking "Outlook Express" (the lousiest e-mail client worldwide!) every time I miss with the picture! Please, please, please help me to delete this stinky "send picture" option from my options menu (under right-mouse button). I do like FF, but I HATE such stinky "service"! Thanx a lot in advance!!!

Needed for a work related website that WILL NOT WORK with the latest update 29 run time environment. When I try to "test java" on there website it is as if I don't have java installed in Mozilla but the only option they give is update 29. Going through Windows Control Panel to either Java Console or "Programs and Features" if 4SURE have update 26 installed just need to get Mozilla plug in to use it. Thank you for your help!

My firefox keeps crashing. it says Microsoft Silverlight crashes. also another window pops up before that but i forget what it says. i have gone to firefox update checker and have done the necessary updates it suggested. yet silverlight keeps crashing. it seems to crash the most when i have hotmail.com open,and when i'm composing a message. all this started happening when i disabled IE. So I re-enabled IE to see if it would help but it didn't. please let me know how i can fix this; it is very frustrating.

I have been offline for a long time, so nearly every time I load Firefox I get an invite to update. The last was Firefox setup 11.0 exe (http://mirror metrocast.net). I've tried several times to load and at 99% it freezes up. Then I repeat this cycle over and over. I'd like to either skip this update and move on or find a shortcut to load all available updates at one time with no more problems.

Hi I am trying to put a swf file on my website. Flash player comes on and says i need to update flash player. I have done this twice and when i go to my website it still says i need to update the flash player. what do i do?

the MAC PowerPC G4 is supported. I have attempted to install this 3 or 4 times and it never installs. It acts like it is installing but when I check the version I am running, it is still 3.6.23.

hi, i have installed all of the software on this computer & have even updated firefox before. now, clicking the "check for updates" tab i get the message posted above. since this is my computer i am assuming that i am the administrator & i haven't encountered any problems installing software before. what could be going on? appreciate any help on this. thanks, michael

This only happens running firefox on OSX, snow leopard. If I go to the verizon secure texting site to send a text message (vtext.com), After filling in form, when I click the submit button, a error message appears that URL www35.vzw.com SSL certificate has expired. If I look at the source HTML this URL is used an event callback. For what I do not know. If I check the URL certificate at Verisign and SSLshopper it indeed is reported as being expired. However, the problem is this. The expired SSL certificate is only reported in firefox on OSX. It is not reported by Chrome, Safari, or Internet explorer on OSX. On SUSE firefox does not report the expired certificate. Nor does chrome. The certificate is not reported as expired by firefox, chrome, or internet explorer on Windows. Why?
