Ironically, I made this support account just to ask this question and had to go to IE to verify. Anyway, Yahoo! Mail use to work almost flawlessly before a couple days ago. Basically, the page loads like normal when I have a good connection except that the ads on the sides are missing, my profile picture is gone, the "fancy" rounded edges of the buttons are nonexistent, none of the menus work or open anything, and all of the links are useless. I have been searching for solutions for two hours now and none of them are relevant or useful: - Clear cookies = when I cleared cookies, cache and history is when the problem first started; - Disable Ghostery = I just learned about it today and so never installed it, but I also checked to make sure it wasn't there somehow; - Start in Safe Mode = the problem is still there and the only change was that it loaded the page faster; - Disable AVG = I can't because I can't find it anywhere...; - Disable Security/Change Permissions? = I think this was a suggested solution, but it already allows Yahoo! Mail to load images and set cookies while blocking pop-ups, location sharing, and installing themes/extensions; - Update Firefox = No. I like my old version. I keep hearing weird and annoying things about updated versions of Firefox, and I'm not going to risk losing everything else just to get Yahoo! Mail back I started using Firefox (3.6.12) because IE was slow, but ever since I tried clearing the cache, cookies and history Firefox has been going slower. Oddly enough, all of my browsing history was not deleted because certain web pages (that I haven't accessed in ages) show up in the address bar when I go to type. Gmail works in Firefox despite saying my browser isn't supported, but Yahoo! never bothers me about my browsers and now its acting strange. By the way, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but right before Yahoo! Mail took the usability train off a cliff, it reloaded (because clearing the cookies logged me out), then told me the internet connection was slow and that I can switch to Basic for better results. I decided to stick with Classic and then it "crashed". Anyone help with this would be appreciated. One of the reasons I switched to FF is because Yahoo! Mail was faster on it, and I'd hate to have to go back to IE... Thanks in advance!

When I am browsing I frequently close my browser to terminate my browsing by clicking on the "X" in the top right-hand corner. The expected result is the browser session is immediately closed.

have come across a large number of sites that capture this and then force me to answer a series of questions while preventing the normal close of the Firefox browser application. Is there any way to cause Firefox to ignore additional instructions when I select the close-button and just close? What I am experiencing is an abuse of how the program was designed to work. I won't elaborate on that unless someone really doesn't understand--I'll just stick to the facts.

I'm running a variety of Firefox on multiple systems, mostly Linux but 2 Windows boxes. I have 1 linux system running Firefox 3.6 and most of the others are on Firefox 19. If more details about version, os, or hw are required please let me know. On all platforms I experience the same issue.

I can't play any youtube videos on my firefox. All my programs are update to date. Also youtube videos are working for my internet explorer but not on my firefox. I have the latest version 3.6.13

I'm on a PC 32 bit home basic vista.

In addition to above I wish to inform you that Babylon addon is not available in my computer so that I may remove the same. I suspect some scam as I want Google as my default web browser & I want that whenever I start Firefox I should see startup page of Firefox and not Babylon search page, Babylon was erroneously downloaded by me which I removed but I am not able to remove Babylon search.

I stumbled upon a 64bit FireFox download on Windows 7 download site - http://www.windows7download.com/win7-firefox-64bit-x64/tafschzm.html - Is this official? Because according to Mozilla's own download site, there's no schedule yet for a 64bit FireFox.

This is suppose to be a site that my husband was given by his employer ,To go to and pick out a 10 yr service award. I can't seem to access it, It tells me my server can't access this site. I have type it in several times,but can not get it to come up. The page that comes up asking do you mean------------ I click on what I typed. And I notice other suggested sites on that page apparently have something to do with the (rb), that's all I can tell you.

My Firefox often freezes when I'm trying to open a site in one tab or several. The freezing lasts for a couple of seconds but its really frustrating.

The version is the latest stable (3.6.13) I've tried re-installing the browser, but the broblem persists.

I installed Firefox 3.6.13 but a pop-up error message reads "The new Java Plug-in requires a recent version of the Firefox browser (version 3 or later)" comes out whenever I run an English dictionary program. It is quite annoying although the program can be processed if I ignore the warning. Could you help me to fix it. Thanks.

I have an epad signature capture pad and am working on programming my website to work with it, but I could only find an ActiveX control to use with a browser. Since FF doesn't use ActiveX I contacted the manufacturer and they said that is a custom programming issue that they do not want to mess with. Does anyone know where I could get an extension or plugin so I can use my epad with FF

Hi, I am novice to Ubuntu10.10. I am unable to login to the Orkut using firefox 3.6.13 under Ubuntu 10.10. I can login to orkut with same credentials on Windows XP. I guess the problem might be with Java. I have already installed the java plug in. When I type about: Plugins in url, I can see Java(TM) Plug0in 1.6.0_22. I have also installed JDK and other available stuff from canonical partners.

Also I faced the similar problem for registering to https://launchpad.net/+login site using firefox 3.6.13 under ubuntu 10.10. I do not see continue button when I try from Ubuntu Firefox. Please take a look and advise some direction.

The main welcome page is in French but I want everything in English! I found a feature in "tools" where I can set my preferred languages, and I chose the 3 languages I use daily: English, German, French. But suddently, in the middle, everything switches back into French. It is quite simply annoying. NB: I live in Geneva, Switzerland, an internationsl city, where lots and lots of people ONLY speak English, but the country has 3 official langues, which are French, German and Italian.

While downloading a music sharing program called "imesh" a number of different addons were added to my toolbars.I uninstalled the imesh program but all the additional addons stayed. I got rid of most of these but my home page was switched to the "imesh" search page. No matter how many times I have tried to switch back to my preferred home page, as soon as I shut down Firefox and then return to it later, the homepage has been swithched back to the "imesh" search page.

I have searched for all the relevant information (i.e. yahoo answers who were pretty useless) but I cannot remember how to make the site show the log in box. Possible problem with the script. There was a help page for this problem but it doesn't exist now. At the moment, www.aimsperform.co.uk just shows up a blank page. I have made it work before - cant remember how. Can't use IE as I am not using windows. Help!

On the website www.veehd.com, when i try to play a Divx movie, it gives message of Buffering but then stops responding and browser stops responding at all in all other tabs also.

I made the mistake of downloading the Babylong translation tool, and it took over as default search engine. I have removed the program; removed it from the top righthand search box (google is my preferred and only search engine); removed add-ons/plug-ins (goodness knows what); but when I enter a query in the web-address box, the following comes up http://assist.babylon.com/babylonassista/dnsassist/... comes up. I successfully removed it in IE where google comes up as the search engine.

Hi there, i am new to using firefox, i will look thru some of the tutorials. I wondered where the refresh button is? i have ticked all the view toolbars - menu, nav etc thanks.

When I open a webpage which is in French, how can I get Firefox to askme if I want the webpage translated into English? Firefox used to open a strip at the top of the webpage which allowed me to click yes to translate the page. Firefox 3.6.13 does not do this now. I have found that Translation Add-On's do not do the trick easily. Any ideas please?

I have one open tab and a tab to the right with at plus sign. I use to be able to click the unused tab to open it up. For some reason now it will not open. I have settings for it to open when I click link etc and it won't do that either anymore.
