For the past few days I have been unable to close tabs. Clicking the "X" in the right corner of the tab does nothing. I can open new tabs though. It's really annoying. And yes I've restarted it and all that crap.

I downloaded BearShare last week and it changed my homepage to http://search.bearshare.com. Now, I cannot change this. Whenever I go into settings to change it, then save, it will change it until I close my browser and open it again, then it goes right back to http://search.bearshare.com.

Searches of Youtube.com using the Web site's search feature are not working, and texts provided with video clips are not expanding. When I click on Search and click on the little icon or button (whatever it's called, downward arrows anyway) to expand the text posted with video clips, nothing happens. This never happened, before, with earlier versions of Firefox; not for me, anyway.

I think this started happening only today, or this week anyway, and also think to have used Youtube since upgrading to Ffx 3.6.12 while being able to expand text with video clips and possibly Youtube searches, but don't precisely recall when Ffx was upgraded to 3.6.12.

However, neither is presently working. There's a problem at one end or the other, now.

Actually, and this is an update to the original post on this problem, I just clicked on the "Like" button at Youtube for a video clip and this also doesn't work.

I sometimes get a blank video player frame saying I need a plug in. FF plug in finder tells me I must manually install Windows Media Player 11. I have done this many times but the plug in never appears in FF.

I downloaded Bandoo emoticons and it loaded "searchqu" search engine and it is now the one being used on Firefox homepage. I prefer Google which it was . I tried to change it,disable it,uninstall it and I tried uninstalling Bandoo. But I can't get rid of it.It doesn't show up as Searchqu in my computer programs and I can't find it there. It was in my Firefox add-ons which is where I uninstalled it from. How do I get rid of it?

when i first started Firefox 3.6.12 I was given the choice of a few background designs behind the toolbar. I chose a xmas design; now I want another. How do I find another choice?

Firefox sometimes crashes when searching normal images on google and It always crashes when searching images of large size. It stops responding i.e display hangs while scrolling. While clicking on other tabs to activate only title bar status changes but display remains the same corrupted google images. It does not close itself. It started only after google has changed its image search page. I dont want to switch to classic image search.Kindly help.

Firefox opens a new tab every time I click a link. When I click a link, I just want to go there, not open a new tab. This slows my computer, but I can't find an option to fix it in the tools.

All the drop down menus in firefox "disappear". I can see the shadow of a drop down menu but there is no text. If I click anywhere in the menu it will open the webpage or action that is supposed to be in that spot but I cannot see the menu items.

I saw that someone suggested going to tools then options, etc...but when I open the tools menu there is no text so I do not even know where to click and even when some text appears it is not the full menu. I have tried reinstalling Firefox but this did not help.

The very top buttons calendar sign out etc, compose button, Tasks and contact buttons in Gmail do not work. All other buttons work. All work fine when using IE. I have upgraded Firefox, 3.6.12. Cleared all cached, cookies etc & rebooted.

I have tried on several occasions to install adobe flash player as this is required for the site I was using. adobe that mozilla is a conflicting application & installation will start when it is closed down, which it doesnt, there is no yellow tab on top to allow me to do this, please help. I also updated my firefox but that didnt help

Firefox freezes and it says "not responding". I have to soft boot to restore it and sometimes that doesn't even work. I have deleted all temp files, cleaned up hard drive and defrag regularly. It's really irritating. How can I fix this?

Msn: dpzchk@188.com was sent to my entire address book, and now when I try to sent a hotmail I get an error message saying Attachment Id Has Bad Format, even though there is no attachment. (This problem does not happen in IE8)

I did Hotmail help and their response was 'I advise you to optimize your browser. If you have a browser that’s not Internet Explorer, you can visit its Help section.'

How do I optimize Firefox 3.6.12?

I’ve stayed away from the newer Firefoxes, as my experience with 3.5 was poor, with its frequent crashes. However, I eventually went to 3.6.10 and had no problems.

Since 3.6.11, Firefox has crashed daily. Then, later that week, twice daily. Then, the following week, thrice daily. When 3.6.12 came out, I note that it crashes even more often, up to four times per hour.

This happens on both Windows XP and Windows Vista (I am entering this report and crash ID from the latter computer).

I have used malawarebytes, cccleaner, registry protect in addition to manually checking the registry. I am unable to do a system restore as I keep getting an error message. This started on google chrome but has spread to firefox. At the same time my ad blocker has stopped working as efficiently (coincidence?)

I thought I was getting a manual for my vacuum. Turned out was a search engine. I have not been able to delete this search.conduit.com. and get back to goggle.
