With Firefox 3.5.?? when I start an URL over an Oracle application via JInitiator 1.3.1.26 (or other versions) everything works well.

Using Firefox 3.6.?? when I start the same URL, nothing happens. With or without the plugin installed (Oracle JInitiator 1.3.1.26 or other versions).

when i type something in my search bar at the top right of the page and hit enter or click on magnifying glass, nothing happens. it doesn't matter what search engine i select. can you help?

On an acer aspire one firefox will not open. It thinks that firefox is already running and says close program or restart but retarting does not clear problem. Firefox is not running as far as I can make out by checking processes that are runnin. Not that good with linux though so dont know what else to check.

I had a problem where firefox crashed whilst closing the bbc iplayer website yesterday evening,I reebooted firefox and all seemed to be in order untill this morning.I cannot use the google default webpage but can use the uk version.When trying to troubleshoot the problem I get the "url not valid message"

Downloaded firefox-8.0.tar.bz2 from getfirefox.com, unpacked, but Firefox 8.0 doesn't start:

I already have Firefox 3.6 installed as part of Fedora 12 and it works fine, but it's too old for some websites.

TalkingPointsMemo and Anchorage Daily News changed to Disqus for their comments system. Suddenly I can't see the comments. I contacted TPM and enabled cookies and third party cookies, etc. per their tech person. Still doesn't work unless I start in safe mode. I was using Firefox 3.6 and tried uninstalling and going back to 3.5. Installed and uninstalled several programs, etc. Nothing works. It works in IE8 and Google Chrome so I cannot figure it out. Any clues?

Tonight, when I loaded my browser, all my web pages came up without any background color- primarily just text on the same default system color background for all pages- this is fine for some simple pages, cause they load faster, but other pages like Facebook for example, I lose some of the graphical page elements, and that's not good! I'm not sure how this happened- all my pages going kinda `text only' (not totally- some foreground pictures load), and I'm not sure how to change it back- please help! I'm using 3.5.15 on a P4 tower.

I am running Firefox 3.5.15 from my U3 drive, but can no longer do updates. Is there a manual procedure for updating the Firefox install, or do I have to use something like Package Factory for U3, and do a full package install?

I want to turn off the setting to remember information when typing it on a site. Example: when filling in my credit card number for making a purchase, I don't want the system to prompt me to what I typed in previously.

I have Dell with windows xp.My printer is lexmark X5495. When I print off AOL, the print is ok. When I print off Firefox, the print is very small. How do set the font size in Firefox ??

I'm using Firefox 3.5.15 to access my email account at excite.com, as usual over many years. I have not changed any security settings or installed any new security software recently. My clock is set correctly on my Windows 7 system. There's plenty of space on my hard drive. Suddenly, I can't get into my Excite email account via Firefox, only IE8 (which sucks). Why?

I tried disabling all my security software, including Zone Alarm, Avira, Iobit, etc, and restarting the computer and then the browser. All my settings allow cookies & Javascript. I put Excite under "ALLOW" for every exception in the Firefox settings. I verified that my Excite cookies were still there, then tried again after deleting them all. No effect. Just the troubleshooting information, below.

Any ideas???

I was formally able to have several copies of Firefox running and minimized, and open a new copy of Firefox without maximizing any of the minimized copies. Now, with Firefox 3.6.12, when I open a new copy of Firefox with several Fiorefox copies minimized, not only the new copy opens, but all the minimized copies also are maximized, i.e. appear on the desktop. I have to then minimize copies I don't want to have appear on my desktop.

I went back to Ver. 3.5 and get same behavior now. Didn't used to.

Is there a setting I can change to keep the minimized copies from being maximized?

It seems I became familiar with the following situation:

I would close all windows of Firefox, with the exception of 1. In this remaining Firefox window I would have various tabs open (numerous web pages) that I wished to continue browsing the next time I opened Firefox. I would then click to close that remaining window, whereby a small query window asking me if I wanted to "quit" Firefox, or if I wanted to "save and quit" would pop up. I would choose the 'save and quit' option, at which point the Firefox window would close, and my tab session(s) would be ready and waiting for the next time I opened the Firefox program.

My problem:

I went to close the last Firefox window (the window with the tabs that I wished to continue browsing the next time I opened Firefox)... but the crux of it, is that absolutely NO query window popped up to ask me if I wished to "quit" or if I wanted to "save and quit"!!! The Firefox window (with all its tabs) closed completely, and that was that - NO saved session! I don't know why the query window (giving me options) did not show up!

My 'problem solving' theory:

When Firefox crashes or when you choose to 'quit and save', Firefox must (somewhere) store the information of it's 'saved session' (or, indeed, a 'session prior to a crash'). I thought that perhaps if I could locate this information... thinking along such lines that perhaps it's a file somewhere in the belly of the computer ...that I could initiate this 'file' and get back my lost session.

Question(s):

• Where can I find this 'file' or information?
• Is this possible? (Or am I way off base?)

Some basic information: - current Firefox version: 3.5.15 - operating system: Windows 7 - current emotional status: angry and confused!!! Wahhh! (lol)

I am trying to download content from syncmyride.com for my Ford and the site only works with version 2.x. Is this version still available for download?
