Over the last few days Gmail has begun malfunctioning. The buttons (forward, move etc.) have stopped working, and when attempting to reply to messages the error 'cannot load rich text editor' appears. This fault is duplicated on two separate macs and does not appear in Safari.

I am unable to connect to the internet through Firefox. Whenever I try, I get the message indicated above. I AM able to connect with Safari, so it doesn't seem to be a general connection problem.

I want to save all attachments in files that I select with each e-mail. I don't want files to download automatically to a default file/space such as the Desktop.

I had a bar beneath the domain box and above my open window tabs on my work Firefox. It had ten, or so, buttons which directed me right to the websites I used most without having to type in the domain or go through a search engine. I came in to work two days ago to find it inexplicably gone. How do I get it back, and how do I prevent it from running off again?

Can't use/send ANY hotmail attachment buttons in Mozilla. Works in IE

completed the download twice and when I open the browser, there is a message that the browser is not protected and that I need to download the update. The computer was rebooted each time after the update process was completed.

Using pref.js or a pac file suggests that firefox will only load settings when it opens. I would like to manipulate settings from an external program, and have firefox reload them instantly when I change them.

I have an external application and with it i want to change proxy settings and have firfox use them instantly.

Can this be accomplished? From the registry maybe...?

I'm running Debian GNU/Linux, where Firefox is called Iceweasel due to licensing restrictions regarding redistribution. How do I ID as "Firefox/Windows XP service pack 2" instead?

The machine is a SLES11 running on x86_64 architecture. Firefox is version 3.0.6 (from the SLES11 installation DVD). I have installed jre-6u25 under /usr/java. I have restarted Firefox after the installation. No Java plugin shows up under Tools/Add-ons/Plugins.

What do I need to do to make it show up?

This somehow happened and now I cannot figure out how to restore settings. When I type a web address up top in the normal bar, nothing happens. I can only get to sites through the google search bar. Which works, but then I cannot copy the link after navingating the site and finding what I want.

I have used firefox for a long time and had no problems. Now, all of a sudden when I open my bookmarks or hotmail they open a new window and not a tab. I never changed anything to make this happen it just started happening. I turned my computer on and restarted it but it didn't help. I already tried different things and then I went on firefox support and I read my problem on the forum and what I should do about it. (I have a mac) Someone said to go to about:config and then go to browser.link.open_newwindow and chage it to 3 but when I typed in about:config it says warning this could void your warranty do not go here unless you know what you're doing! Needless to say, I got scared and stopped!!

I am using Firefox 3.0.6 Open a new tab button doesn't appear on the right of my last tab and I need to use CTRL+T every time to open a new tab. Why or how can make this button appear?

I have been trying to upgrade from my old Firefox 3.0.6 version, but I always get the same message. I'm on Mac OS X version 10.5.8. f I can't upgrade, I'll have to switch browser -- and I really love Firefox. Please help

I've been using Flock, but they've quit supporting it, so now I need to pick a new browser and import my bookmarks from Flock; I have 3.06. When I searched help for how to import bookmarks, I got a bunch of stuff about how 4.0 doesn't import, but didn't see anything about how it works in 3.06. Thanks.
