Ok I have a new problem with the new Firefox. I just updated my Firefox to the newest version. But while I’ve been using the old version I use a very good feature I liked about Firefox a lot .that was the cache folder and cache files used to create for using software like downloading so many kind of files like videos pictures and any content I’ve browsed on the net by Firefox. All those files been there in a folder in this location (C:\Documents and Settings\A\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\r52ck3aw.default\Cache) and I could use that to preview all those files but now when I go to that folder there is just like thousands folders and none of my file is there you only can find a few of them. Please don’t tell me that I no longer have that folder and cache files like the old versions? Please help?

I am running the latest version of Firefox (17.0.1)
I have a number of add-ons all of which are disabled and which I would like to remove. Unfortunately there is no remove button.
I have read the FAQs and community help which tells me that if there is no remove button then the add-ons are there through being added globally by other software. However on of the add-ons that I want to remove is Google Toolbar for Firefox - how could that have been added by another application?
Any suggestions gratefull received.

Firefox 17.01 Ubuntu 12.04
If I go to Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Encryption
it looks like 'View Certificates' is the likeliest place to look for the Security Exceptions resulting from me clicking 'Confirm Security Exception'.
I have looked at the five tabs on the next dialog box 'Certificate Manager', and the most likely looks like the 'Servers' tab.
On this tab, I can see that there is a button to 'Add Exception...', but nowhere to 'Show Exceptions', and the 'Add Exception...' button only provides means to add a new exception.

The problem is with not with every website, just one. This is a site that previously remembered my username & pw, but I changed the pw and the prompt did not display to update it, so I deleted it from the Firefox/Options/Security/Saved Passwords tab, and now when I type in the new pw, it's still not asking me whether I want to remember the pw (nor does it remember the old pw). I tried Safe Mode and I tried resetting Firefox. Neither one worked.

As of late, my Firefox browser has been freezing my entire computer. It keeps saying that it is "not responding", my mouse turns into that blue circular loading screen, I can't exit anything, I can't even open task manager, I have to take the battery out just for my computer to turn off.
I scanned everything with Norton; didn't detect anything. I even did the Norton Power Eraser, still nothing. I set Firefox to run the program as an administrator and I thought it was fixed but it wasn't.
I even update my plug-ins and for some reason, your website keeps telling me I need to update the same ones, so I can't even rely on that.
I noticed that it does happen when I'm on a Youtube page. Like when I've paused a video.
It opens fast, it browses fast, it goes to certain websites fast. It's this annoyance that has really bothered me and has considered me switching to Google Chrome.
If you don't want me to, then tell me how to fix this issue.

The problem is basically exactly like described here, only the solution presented there does not actually work for me: http://askubuntu.com/questions/59062/a-script-on-this-page-may-be-busy-or-it-may-have-stopped-responding-everytime
What happens is that every time I hibernate my laptop (with Windows 7 Pro, 64bit), when I resume from hibernation, FF is completely unresponsive (hangs) for minutes. Easily around 5 minutes. Eventually a dialog box pops up with the following:
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."
And the two buttons are: "stop script" or "continue". After I click "stop script" the unresponsiveness finally goes away, and FF starts working normally again.
I think possibly even clicking "continue" also makes it go back to normal, but I'm not sure anymore since I have recently just switched to sleep mode out of frustration in order to not deal with it anymore, and I don't remember exactly if I get the same result from clicking either option.
This is extremely frustrating.
Someone else reported an extremely similar symptom here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/935110?esab=a&as=aaq It might even be the exact same symptom. Maybe that person simply never waited long enough for the dialog box to appear, but otherwise the unusability symptoms are the same.
I get a javascript error message.
I get a error message stating this, Error: TypeError: netscape.security. PrivilegeManager is undefined. Any Suggestions?
