only it wouldnt launch.

It had the error 'Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:50972.'

So Yesterday i opened Mozilla and everything was normal Till i got a weird message saying the Following : A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

and when i hit Continue Firefox Freezes and start to Not Respond and then Shuts Down and I've tried to Stop Script too but it's not working . the Same problem

Some people Advised me to Change my browser but of Course No i won't Change Firefox

and this happens for Sites such As Facebook, blogs , any site with Ads on it

i've installed java Several times i've updated Mozilla Too .. i have no Add ons

Please any Solutions this problem is Bugging me

Latest version of Firefox freezes solid on load. 14.01 fixes the problem. Reinstalled 19.02 and problem reappeared. Disabling Norton Firewall temporarily did not fix the problem. Reinstalled 14.01 a second time and problem went away again. Running Win 8 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop.

I asked before and got no answer so I am trying again. This occurs with any version i have downloaded above ver. 14.1. Every time i start up Firefox before the browser window opens there is a popup box that says it is checking the compatibility of my addons. I am not a fan of tabbed browsing so i use multiple windows. Any time I open Firefox the compatibility checker runs. I can not figure out how to prevent this from running. I am able to keep it off my system as long as I do not upgrade above version 14.1. The result is I have had to set Updates to never check to avoidbeing bombarded multiple times a day by Mozilla with the message that updates/upgrades for Firefox are available.

I have tried everything I can think of to download a higher version and not to have this feature, including doing custom installs and unchecking the maint. service box. But no matter what I have tried the popup addon checker is still there. Since I do not allow any programs or sites to update automatically, except for security software, I am not willing to update beyond 14.1 until I can prevent the addon checker from running without permission.

Is there any way to disable this function in versions above 14.1?

Hi. When I use fire-fox, it keeps on freezing when i'm accessing any websites that use flash. Googling this problem wouldn't solve it. I have updated firefox to the latest / adobe but it wouldn't solve the problem. If I use another firefox based product like Palemon or Sea monkey, same issue occurs. Other browsers like Chrome crashes when I start it, opera crashes too much and IE is crap and slow and doesn't support much, so firefox is the only solution. I tried firefox on my friends laptop (mac) as it worked fine. It is definitely a windows 7 issue. It is associated with plugin-container.exe. No crash logs or any bug reporters were appearing. I also tried reverting to the prev version (both flash and firefox) but didn't help. This is very strange. Any help please?

I can't seem to like or dislike videos on YouTube in Firefox. I've tried Internet Explorer and it works fine. It's not that the buttons aren't there (which a lot of people seem to have problems with from Googling), it's just when I click on them, they don't say that I've liked/disliked it and doesn't bring up the stats for the video like they normally do. Also, when I look at my 'likes' history, the video I've tried liking doesn't come up, which shows that the 'like' hasn't worked.

The following line appears every time I open up a Firefox website and I want to get rid of it: "Will you help improve Mozilla Firefox by sending information about performance, hardware, usage and customization to Monzilla" When I answer YES I WANT TO HELP or NO, the line still keeps appearing when i open up another web page. Also, how do I stop the message "CHECKING COMPATABILITY OF ADD-ONS" when I open up a web page. Hoping you can assist-Thanking you Dick Hunt

Howard Forum Wiki gives me unresponsive script error as well. Go to http://www.howardforums.com/showwiki.php?title=Android+Wiki:About and click on the Discussion tab and I get an error from "Script: http://www.howardforums.com/clientscript/vault/reset.js?v=3014:285" script.

Gave in to the "nag" screen earlier this evening and "upgraded" to Firefox 14.0.1 from 13.0.1

And since then I've had multiple "not responding" problems. Just hangs, repeatedly. Whether I'm doing anything or not. On a variety of websites - planet-f1.com, bbc.co.uk, youtube (seems worst on youtube), facebook... pretty much anything I do. It's even hung on this page once. All I get is the "circle of doom", the "not responding" top of screen, and eventually the "whitewash of death" look.

I've disabled all my add-ons (not that I had many, mainly just adblock and flash) but no avail. Cleared cache and cookies.

Seriously tempted to go back to 13! Any other ideas?

When i try to opload a picture in Picasa or Facebook i always get a warning that adobe flash has crashed, i have te newest version of adobe en firefox.... I tried everything that i could find here on the site as solution but still the problem stays. With an other browser also the same problem :-s

Firefox 14 crashes when home page is set to google.com I have always had google.com as the home pages. everything was ok till this morning. as soon as i start the fire fox with Google as home page it crashes. On my other computer it has no problems at all. I can change the default settings to what I have always used but as soon as I change the home page it crashes and forces me to change all my settings to the default before I can use it again. i dont get any crash ID either.

I can not for the life of me take back the "HOMEPAGE" I have searched around everywhere and found how to take over the "NEW TAB" issue and it is back to Google.ca.

But I have yet to find a single issue with the Homepage being automatically hijacked and sending me straight back to the website no matter what I do to change the URL.

I have done the following things.

1: Removed the Toolbar from Add-ons

2: Removed the Toolbar from Control Panel

3: Shut down my computer and rebooted into Safe Mode - Networking to run Malware and other virus scanners.

4: Changed my Hosts File

5: Turned on Firefox in Safe-Mode resetting all defaults.

6: Changed the URL several times. ____________________________________________________

I can set the homepage to "Blank" which solves the issue. BUT I want Claro off my computer for good not just covered up with settings.

NOTE: I do not have expert knowledge in computerized configuration so I am at a lose into doing something like Manually checking my systems files and such to remove this issue.

If you know how to fix this, Please be detailed and simple.

Also! If i type anything into the search bar incorrectly it automatically uses iSearch-Claro to search for results.

I woke one morning to find a new version of firefox on my mac. Since then I have not been able to get Netflix to work since it asks me to restart in 32bit mode. Prior to the update the yellow bar restarted Netflix with no issues now it just cycles back with no change.

After getting the latest update with Firefox i have run in to nothing but issues on flash related sites and any games online that require flash to use them. I'm running flash, 11.3.300.265, when I first started this with this issue I was running an older version of flash updating it only made the issue worse in Firefox. Now flash works fine in IE 9, Opera 12, Safari 5, and Google Crome, using the same sites and same version of flash. I've also removed, and disabled all add ons besides flash to see if some how they are causing an issue and that didn't fix it I've also tried removing my profile completely with no fix as well. I've also tried beta 15 with no luck as well.

I updated from Firefox 13.0.1 to 14.0.1 and every time I start Firefox I get a window that checks for compatibility of add ons then when Firefox loads up it opens two tabs, one is the welcome page and the othr is my home page

Claro-Search took over our Firefox settings when opening NEW TAB.

I already took back the general internet search Navigation Bar and default sign on page. But I cannot find out how Claro-Search.com is using the New Tab.

I have not been able to have Firefox load successfully since yesterday. I have uninstalled and re-installed twice, still no luck, I ran a full virus scan and found no issues.

I have been given no crash IDs because it just freezes for minutes on end and then I force quit. I ran a defrag and freed up space on my computer hoping to fix this problem.

I love Firefox, but right now I am running Chrome becuase it is still working and so is IE so I know it is not a computer issue.

I hope this gets solved soon, I would love to get my Firefox up and running again. I can tell I am not the only person with this issue by looking at the forums.
