I can't access the facebook webpage only for every browsers of my mac os X (firefox and safari), while others website are not affected. I've try so many ways to fix it, including OpenDNS, terminal, clearing caches and I even restore the caches from the trash in my laptop & etc., but still seems like doesn't work. The message is shown as below:

Invalid URL The requested URL "/", is invalid.

What should I do and what cause it happens?

In addition, I feel like it happened after I clear my caches through the MacKeeper.

It did update Active X but won't let me install flashplayer even after I suspended firewall and anti virus. It says the following http://gatadobe.com/flashplayer/completion/aih/?exitcode=-1

Then the icon disappears from my desktop.

After upgrading from Firefox 11 to 12 I'm having serious problems with Firefox over-caching pages.

For example if you: Go to a URL where you can enter comments. If after comments are entered you are sent back to the same URL Firefox is showing the old page (without your new comments). You have to do a refresh to see the new page (with the new comment)

Even if the page has PHP headers: header('Cache-Control: no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate'); header('Pragma: no-cache'); header('Expires: 0');

Firefox ignores this too.

I've got the most current version of Adobe Flash installed but still can't play videos that play fine with Safari. Don't know if it an extension, plug-in, or ? problem.

When I click on a video, I don't get a message such as missing plug-in or anything. I just get a page with a blank space where the video should be.

I have been a firefox fan for many versions and would like to no longer require flash. My understanding is vimeo will play video with browser that support h.264 natively. When I go to vimeo in firefox with the flash add-on disabled vimeo states my browser does not support h.264 natively. Is this on the road map for firefox, or am I missing some setting to turn it on?

After I upgraded to Firefox 12.0, RealPlayer stopped downloading videos. Firefox isn't even listed on the RealPlayer preferences area. I prefer Firefox, but don't know what to do.

When I am signed into hotmail using firefox browser, I am unable to open emails or write a new email. I am running firefox 12.0 on windows 7 . I do not have this problem with hotmail using Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Any help would be appreciated. I have already uninstalled and re-installed Firefox 12.0 once and this did not solve the problem.

I was having the same problem as other people having this link "http://www.searchqu.com/406." coming up when I opened Firefox, I read it came from AVG's latest update and I have solved this problem and uninstalled AVG but now I have a similar problem but with a different link : http://www.adoresearch.com/431

I have http://www.adoresearch.com/431 coming up when I open Mozilla Firefox and cannot get rid of it, in fact I have Google Chrome and Opera for browsers too and http://www.adoresearch.com/431 is coming up in all 3 browsers. I have read that it comes from the latest version of AVG which is my Anti virus. When I go into Internet Options it still says I have Google as my home page but it isn't when I open Firefox. I have tried back dating my computer, I have un-intalled all of my browsers and re-installed them, I have also un-installed AVG but still the http://www.adoresearch.com/431 is still there. Can anyone help please to solve my problem

Here's the situation, I have only recently installed Java SE platform with Java JDK, JavaFX SDK and JRE for a freshly installed version of Windows 64-bit.

In the past I have used Firefox 3.6.x. But this time I installed the latest and greatest Firefox 12. But there is only one problem with it, it cannot run Java applets. Why?

I notice that when I go to Firefox button, Addons, Extensions, there is no extension named Java, like Java Console. Why is this? Does it mean that there is no Java plug-in installed for Firefox? How do I know the Java plug-in is installed?

How do I proceed with this problem? Please advise! I really don't feel like re-installing the Java all over again and all of it's components and having to re-configure everything from scratch. I feel this is an issue with Firefox not communicating with the already installed JRE.

I need the FireFox Setup 11.exe to go back to version 11. This is only temporary until I can figure out some problems with plugins but cannot do this on my main laptop (will debug elsewhere).

I cannot find this setup on a trusted other site, I didn't download the previous version outside the "auto update" and so don't have the installer since it was so long ago (no longer in tempfiles/recycle or wherever else windows tucks it after I use it). I'd prefer to download from mozilla directly, please direct me to it?

I have upgraded to FF12 and lost my Norton toolbar. I ran Liveupdate, but still no toolbar. I have Norton Security Suite, version 5.2.1.3, toolbar 2011.7.6.3. What do I need to do to get Norton toolbar back?

I try to share videos from fb (Facebook) and I am unable to view it when I do because the video keeps saying the video player is too small. Another thing, the windows media player is not compatible either! Why is this?!

I cannot get rid of the Yahoo Toolbar in Firefox 12. It does not show up under extensions or add-ons.

I have eliminated all Yahoo programs (Toolbar, IM, and some updating program) in the control panel Add/Remove Programs.

I have restarted the Firefox in safe mode. There are still no Yahoo Add-ons or Extensions that show up.

I then went Help | Troubleshooting Information | Show Folder

I clicked on Show Folder.

There's a folder called "Yahoo! Inc". When I open Yahoo Inc., there's another folder called ytoolbar. I have deleted Yahoo! Inc both when Firefox was open and when it was closed. As soon as I restart Firefox, the Yahoo Inc. folder is recreated.

I am unable to remove the Yahoo Inc. folder permanently.

This is one invasive program.

How do I get Firefox 12 to work with Norton 360. As advised, I've updated Norton using Liveupdate until it says no more updates available, restarted computer THEN tried to locate the Norton addon in Firefox to enable it. However, no Norton addons are listed. Help appreciated.thx

Fire Fox will not play YouTube videos. When I go to the site, I see just a black box with no error messages. The video never loads. I have uninstalled flash player and re-installed with no success in playing you tube videos. IE will play you tube videos! I have disabled all anti-virus, firewall, plugins, etc and FireFox still will NOT play YouTube videos. Please help!

I get only a blank screen in Firefox when I click on a PDF web link. I have tried most solutions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cant-view-pdf-web.html Some of the suggested solutions I cannot try. For example, in Adobe Reader Preferences the "view in browser" check mark is greyed out, I cannot deselect it. If I disable the plug-in I can download the PDF when I click a link. Safari has no problems displaying PDFs. Mac OSX Lion, Firefox 12.0

Against my better judgment I upgraded to Firefox 12. Immediately all the bookmarks were gone. Every time I started Firefox, I got a "New Tab" with nothing else. No bookmarks. No remembering of the previous tabs. I did a restore and thought I had fixed it since everything came back, however once I shut down Firefox and started it again it was back to the blank Firefox with nothing and "New Tab". I was previously on Firefox 10 and very reluctantly ever upgrade, but I had updated another computer to version 12 with no issues so I said "what the heck, worked once should work again." Wrong. Unfortunately this is my main computer. Please help.
