I have troubles enabling the cookies, even though I never disabled them, thus I cannot log into my GMAIL account for over two weeks now. What should I do?

I cannot log into my gmail or facebook account, because it says: cookies are disabled, enable cookies to continue. I tried changing my settings in Firefox - Options - Settings - Privacy - Use custom settings. I did exactly what I was advised in the Firefox Help online, enabled everything, then clicked OK. Didnt work. Tried it again and I only found that the settings (custom settings - enabled everything) were not even saved. I am not able to save these custom settings any way, it never saves them no matter how many times I try and click ok, I come back to the setting to find that they are not there. So I tried clearing all the cookies and cache in history (also found this online in firefox support site), guess what? DIDNT WORK. I am starting to be a little bit pissed off as I cannot log into my gmail or facebook account for over two weeks now! Any time I need to check e-mails I have to use someones laptop.

After I noticed this Local Moxie (18 March 2013) had replaced all Firefox searches, I went to Google and looked this up and discovered that it is malware or worse. I have done all that Google said to do for removing cookies from this Local Moxie as well as page info and blocking it, in the tools section and I cannot get rid of it. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how I can remove it, please?

i have done everything listed here so many times and nothing is fixing this. Made sure cookies were enabled, cleared cache and cookies, made sure Gmail was approved in security settings, and then as a last ditch effort, I disabled all add-ons for Firefox and still no Gmail... I was so desperate that I even re-installed ff-19 and still cannot get into my email account. What is going on here? Any help or small nudge in the correct direction would be much appreciated!

About 2-3 days ago a popup questionnaire began plaguing me. The address that pops up with the popup is listed above: http://canada.consumers-research.com . It hijacks both audio and opens a separate window, which can only be closed by right clicking on FF icon in the taskbar. If you <x> it, it does not close.

I already installed Lavasoft's adaware software, to no avail.

Kind regards.

So after this new stupid youtube update, it for whatever reason logged me out of my gmail and my youtube accounts, even though i have it set to always have me logged in. when i type in the correct e-mail and password, it redirects me to a page that says "Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on." So, i came here for help to see if there was a problem, and there was (yay google) and i followed the steps to every solution that i could find. Unfortunately, none of them worked in the slightest, and im stuck out from my e-mail. i can access my youtube and gmail perfectly fine at school, but when i come home it seems to. yes, i already opened up the firefox > options > privacy and did all of that. i deleted all my cookies, enabled 3rd party cookies and disabled it multiple times to see if it would fix anything. sadly to no avail. Now that none of that worked, i come here asking for help one last time :( if anyone has a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated. preferably something that hasnt been repeated in other posts about this, because ive probably already read it :\

I have been through many threads of similar questions and tried all of the suggestions that worked for everyone else. Google is still not allowing me to access Gmail because "cookies are disabled", even though they're definitely not. I have looked into exceptions, I have removed Google from the cookies list, I have done everything recommended.

I cannot access my email and will soon switch browsers if this is not resolved.

For about a month now, Firefox (18.0.2) has been randomly logging me out of sites that I WANT to remember me (e.g. Facebook, Amazon, sites with forums I visit daily for work). It is driving me bonkers and it did NOT used to do this.

It does seem more likely to log me out of these sites when I have watched a Flash video. Help please?

Firefox 18.0.2 on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

In Firefox options I have set "Keep Cookies - Until they expire" options and when I exit and reload Firefox there are still many expired cookies in the cookies list?

I have noticed that session cookies are being removed ok, its just cookies that are set to expire on a specific date that are expired aren't being removed by Firefox. These cookies never seem to get removed automatically, only if I delete them manually.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It used to be in the previous version 16.0.2, that I'm now thinking of

going back to, that -:

Tools, options, exception was a place that I could list all the cookies

that I never wanted to see. I could find the cookies that I did not want

by opening "cookies" and by hand putting unwanted cookies sources into

"exceptions" and blocking them.

As a result I would, by default, allow only unblocked cookies for valid

sites to be on my system. I had a list about 200 sites long of unwanted

blocked cookies sources.

Then in 17.0.1 - bingo my exceptions list went bye bye and I was finding

valid userids appear on pages that I opened where I had not asked

17.0.1 to retain either password or userid.

Then I found (in 17.0.1) that even if I ticked the box to remove the cookies (aquired by the lack of being able to block then) when I closed 17.0.1 that the tick was cancelled by 17.0.1 and the cookies stayed.

What I want to have happen is a) have no history b) accept cookies c) create exceptions and block cookes with that "exception" list and not have that exception list deleted when I close 17.0.1 d) accept 3rd party cookises and keep them until I close 17.0.1 e) clear history but NOT the exceptions list that I spent time creating (and I don't know where they were/are stored).

What I see is no way to delete the cookies when I quit 17.0.1 because, if I tick the cookie box in "Settings" 17.0.1 clears the cookie tick when I close 17.0.1

Thanks
