My firefox on my android phone crashed which seems to caused all my bookmarks to gone missing!

Is there something i can do to maybe recover them?

This happened on Firefox BETA. (in case this is relevant or important information.)

edit: my browsing history is gone too. strange. it looks like it resetted everything after the crash?

The bookmarks appear to have disappeared as I was creating a bookmark.

I tried restoring from every restore point listed in "Import and Restore", and they all appear to be empty.

If I move off the folder and click back sometimes the list will fill in, other times it will not. When the list is not there is is just the shadow outline with a transparent middle.

I am getting really mad with FF after I began using Netscape many years ago, today the update to version 20.01 was applied and after that and checking all the add ons and plugins my bookmarks just dissapeared, I am really mad, it is not the first time and ithappens in all my Pc' running FF in XP and Windows 7, now I can get to the.json file but also when I try to restore the file the script on this page may be busy appears again and again and again so I'm not able to restore my bookmarks, really I'm tired of this FF problem. I have also uninstalled completely the software and the %$#^$&^% persists. Is it some kind of sabotage so we migrate to Chrome, just let me know and will forget abot FF and will use again IE. Also this (*(*& ,json file type is a curse to users, we can not work with it neither we can manage the information inside. So what can I do to restore my bookmarks from outside FF.

after mozilla firefox crashed I got a previous version of mozilla, by right clicking on to the program's GET A PREVIOUS VERSION. In the version that installed on my pc I cannont find my bookmarks

Hi, I recently discovered that there was an unwanted website in my bookmark. I would never in this world have added this website in my bookmark. This site was actually a sex chat site which is really inappropriate and I never go on those websites or adult site. For the past month, I’ve been asking me that question. How did this site appear in my bookmark? I am really paranoid with what happen and i really need an explanation. The only thing I'm guilty of is downloading movies. I use Torrent search to search for my movies and once I found it I use Utorrent to download them. I often get a lots of unwanted site and pop ups when i do my search depending on where i go get my movies ( kickasstorrent, SumoTorrent, TorrentCrazy etc...) 3 or 4 windows opens at the same time and most of the time my computer freezes. I rush to close them all at one because I don't want any of these website on my computer. Would it be possible that I downloaded a virus, or some hacker was actually on my computer???? Please help me. Thank you

I have many folders and sub folders. I have accidentally dropped a folder in another totally unrelated folder and cannot find it. I know that it is there because when I search there is material in the folder. How can I find it? !!!!! thanks, Pianonanda

Firefox has been causing pbs for my MBP OS X ML. So i tried to reinstall it. Removed it form OSX cleaned the system then reinstalled it. When i tried re syncing my data i forgot the password for my account. I had to reset it. Then when i tried to re-add my MBP to my sync account it told me do you really want to replace the data from this device with the data on the sync account. I said yes then nothing happened. I tried re syncing but nothing happened. I changed the sync option to the second one "replace all data on this device with my sync data" but nothing happened. I don't know how to deal with this? can someone help please. Did i lose all my sync data or there is a way to get it back?

I am using Firefox 19.0 on a MacBook Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2

I tried to bookmark a website in multiple folders. For example, this website had information about gardening, cleaning and beauty. I bookmarked it first in my gardening folder, then I changed the name of the bookmark and tried to save the site to my cleaning folder. I changed the name again and tried to save the site to my beauty folder. When I went back to check if it had worked, the site was not bookmarked in the gardening and cleaning folders, but was bookmarked in the beauty folder. I don't understand why I can't bookmark the same page in multiple folders. I may not think to look in the Beauty folder for information on gardening.

On RSS feeds "Open all in tabs" seems to ALWAYS be greyed out.

I have lived with this bug for a loooong time since an update, I think it was around FF13.

It is greyed out on ALL machines I know of... I have seen the bug on several machines with completely independent bookmarks, seen on multiple windows versions

Tried all tricks and NONE worked. Just tried to start in safe mode (did not help) tried to start in safe mode and reset EVERYTHING - but the bug persists.

Googling the bug gives thousands and thousands of hits, so this is still an existing bug NOT related to add-ons.

The reset saves the bookmarks, so I guess the bug MIGHT be found inside the bookmark-database corrupted at some upgrade.

If this is not a bug, but an intentional removal of a function, then it should be hidden not greyed.

A specific page I had bookmarked doesn't have a favicon. The server was unreachable at one point. The icon for page loading error, yellow triangle with exclamation point, became associated with the page in the bookmarks file. How do I disassociate the bookmark from the icon for page loading error?

Removing the bookmark didn't work, even if I ended the Firefox process prior to re-bookmarking it.

Where are favicons stored for pages I've removed bookmarks of?

I am on a MAC. I had my LIBRARY window open because I use it daily, mostly for bookmarks.

I wanted to delete some specific history links in the large window (with columns like Name and Location, Visit Date etc). I did not notice that the highlighted place was in the left toolbar under History so I accidentally deleted HISTORY--- Today, Yesterday and ALL of April. This is a business computer and this is a BIG problem. I tried several times under Edit to hit UNDO but it did nothing.

Why would Firefox not have some warning box to tell you you are about to delete a large amount of info? And why is it not reversible?

Also I am on my computer EVERY day for hours and the most recent bookmark backup point was today AFTER the large deletion of info mentioned above. And then the next previous one was April 23. So 2 more questions-- 1--why has it not auto backed up in almost 10 days? I don't do any manual backups. 2--does this restore point also restore history?

Hello, I believe that what I'm asking is simple & clear. Do you or do you not store user data backups on your servers? I've been using Firefox, as the default browser, for over 7 years. Naturally, I had to upgrade my pc's & operating systems several times through this period. Every time I use a new device & of course a new OS, I normally lose my old data (History & Bookmarks). If you keep records or backups of old users' data, there will be no problem & I could restore all my old data following your instructions. If not, which is probably the case, I'd like to suggest you consider developing or at least put more stress on running backup before uninstalling & re-installing a new OS for the users to pay more attention to this issue. Why is it so complicated to import my old Firefox bookmarks? I have a harddrive from my old computer (march 2012) in a ext hard drive enclosure which is attached to my new laptop via USB, and I can NOT find a simple way to import my old bookmarks. I wasted several hours today trying to do that. I have bookmarks-2012-02-07.json and I have places.sqlite. I want to >include< which ever file has my old bookmarks with the existing new bookmarks file. That’s it! Please don’t tell me to convert it HTML, it didn’t work.

Need to import my bookmarks from a different json file. When I try to import it says that it will overwright my current bookmarks. Don't want to do that, only add it it. Is that possible?

Greetings, While using Firefox, I noticed that the icons on my bookmark toolbar disappeared. I right clicked on the toolbar area and I double checked that the toolbar was checked and visible. I have no idea what happened. Can anyone help me in restoring the Bookmark Toolbar? Thanks In Advance.
