Whenever I'm shopping online, if I mouse over a picture if gives me a popup with similar items from other stores, what plugin is doing that and how do I turn it off? It is really annoying. When I am shopping I do not need to know that I can get a random, remotely similar product somewhere else.

When in firefox using Google maps and click on "EARTH" I receive a window indicating that to use 3D I need to install 21.0 Google Earth Plug-in with a "Download" option to click on. Note: Firefox 21.0 and MAC OS 10.7.5 have all current software updates installed. Safari & Chrome do not request for any plug-ins and 3D Earth option works fine. ANY HELP?

PS. my MAC does have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 installed but my MAC, Safari & Chrome work fine.

Hi,

Started up Firefox and the text in the main window was bigger than yesterday, there is now a scroll bar at the bottom for me to mover left and right to see all the screen. Zoom is already reset so CTRL+0 does nothing. Zooming back out to make the page look better only works for that page.

A complete re-installation of Firefox didn't work also.

I rolled back System Restore and Firefox looked fine again until I realised that I didn't have any search engines installed. So I reinstalled Firefox over the old (Choose Upgrade) and the big text problem came back.

I have been using Weebly recently, not sure if that is a coincidence or not, maybe I have messed something up whilst editing?

XP itself seems fine though, maybe this is a Font problem? Not sure. :P

Thanks.

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to accounts.google.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Nightly was working on metro at first when I haven't installed Firefox 18 yet but when I installed Firefox 18 and thought it would run on metro if I set it as a default program which did not, opening nightly both on the desktop and start screen would open the firefox in the desktop instead.

I uninstalled Nightly and downloaded and installed the version 20 for 32 bit. When I looked on the default programs to set Nightly all I could see is Nightly on the list but the icon has changed to that of Firefox's. I set it as default and still it doesn't open as metro.

Any ideas how to fix this?

This isn't as much of a support question as a design decision question. I know that WebM is to remain open, and h.264 isn't sure, but from what I can tell from these results:

http://www.streamingmedia.com/Articles/ReadArticle.aspx?ArticleID=68594&PageNum=1

The CPU usage difference is immense, which honestly is an issue for a lot of PC's. h.264 is way lower on CPU usage, and seems to be superior overall. Are there any plans/talks to move that to being an open standard, and will Firefox ever support it?

I understand Firefox is an open source browser, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't support some standards if they are as dramatically superior as this, even if it wont always remain open, drop it at that time instead of just not picking it up.

Apparently pushed the wrong "Download" button. Now instead of my homepage (which I have reset), when I open Firefox the "search.conduit.com" page opens. I used the "about:config" procedure several times but it didn't work. There is nothing listed on "add/remove" that is related. Also scanned with Ad-aware, Super AntiSpyware and Norton 360. How do I clean search.conduit out of my browser?

I tried updating Firefox to 19 and then even the Beta 20 version. I have rebooted computer countless times. On the same computer, I can open IE and bring up ESPN and the drop down menus work fine so I know its not a computer issue and it must have something to do Firefox. I tried the "starting in safe mode" and disabling add ons because I saw those suggestions but that didnt work. I also tried unchecking the box about hardware acceleration because I saw that suggested also and needless to say that didnt work either. Can someone please please help me, its very frustrating.

I've tried removing cookies, preventing firefox from accepting cookies, and restarting Firefox in safe mode. The best I can get is the log in page, but once I enter my information, I get the same message again. Any suggestions?

And so i did it and it worked, but next time i opened firefox again it was slow loading again, but keep-alive is false still, disabled all not nessecary plugins and extensions and i dont seem to find a solution. Been a firefox user for a long time and dont want to change my browser.

Since yesterday my firefox keeps crashing, sometimes I get the option to reset firefox or start in safe mode. Only using the safe mode firefox works properly (but without plugins/addons)

So I did a fresh reinstall (without add ons etc) thinking to fix the problem. I was using v19 when all this happened then downgraded to v17 in the hope to fix it. By now I've tried v17 to v20b and all keep crashing when used 'normally' After the fresh install I no longer have the option to use the firefox safe mode.

If my memory serves me correctly I had just update Java around the time of the first crash. I also tried to use the auto update of win7 but those failed. So I've also uninstalled all java components, installed firefox fresh and tried to launch firefox, before and after reinstalling java.

in all situations is crashes right away.

The only way to make firefox work now is using the winXP (sp3) compatibility from windows.

I have no win7 system restore points so this is no option to use. All other software (and browser) work fine.. only firefox crashes all the time.

how to solve this? I have looked around and followed all suggestions I could find to topics slightly related to mine, but nothing works.
