I just loaded windows 8 onto my system and placed Firefox version 19. as my web browser and went to Youtube and updated flash to the Version it was looking for which in this case is 11.6 r602 and now everywhere that I go on the web the plug in pops up says it fails and locks up my firefox. I have done what the suggestions have said

1. Made sure system was up to date 2. Lowered hardware and flash acceleration 3. changed firefox settings 4. have done numerous re-installs of firefox and flash

I had to start using google chrome Please help I like fire fox better

facebook was working fine now suddenly I get this stuff about them not using a trusted security certificate and firefox won't open the site AT ALL! :(

So the latest version of Firefox 19 comes with a built in PDF viewer.

The problem that I found is that this viewer at its present time does NOT show fillable fields ina PDF, or let the user type into these fillable fields, or show the electronic print and instructions buttons we place at the top of most of our PDF "forms".

This form should show buttons at the top and let a user fill it out. It does with the Reader plugin. In FF 19's built in PDF viewer I cant seem to do anything.

We presently make all our PDF forms fillable, so if this is an issue, hopefully a fix or update can be found.

After i updated to the latest flash player (11.7) I have problems with video streaming. The video plays but after a while the audio stops and the video will keep playing but will also stop after a few seconds. Is the new flash player update at fault?

I keep clicking no thanks and every time I start Firefox it pops up again. It is starting to irritate me enough that I will uninstall Firefox if I can't get it to stop - Why have a no thanks button if you are going to constantly irritate people by asking every time you open the program

Recently parts of the text but not all the text on a webpage has started to blur or distort. Sometimes this distortion moves to the right. If i hover my mouse over the distortion or scroll the page it disappears. This is especially annoying on Facebook ect. I have not noticed this problem in IE or Chome but i havn't used either for prolonged periods to be honest. It's hard to test what causes it because the problem is intermittent, Facebook is affected the worst but have had this problem on other websites including this form and even in the Addon menu.

I have tried, running in safe mode, disabling plugins and clearing the cache none of which have solved the problem.

some key words in different web site are in blue for you to click on to get information i move the mouse over to one and a bubble window comes up about Coupon Drop Down..i have tried everything to get rid of this in the browser there no add/on with it and no extensions with it and its not in windows add/remove programs this only happens on firefox not on IE i have run melware and nothing comes up some how i know theres away to remove this but im lost i tried everything but reinstall firefox..i would do that but i dont want to lose my bookmarks or my other settings or my skin...any ideas i need so help please

initially change over from hotmail to outlook in firefox worked fine, but now I no longer can open my emails contacted MS but they could not help we have no techn. inform. concerning Firefox, finally MS suggested to install and update new brower 19.02 after installation no change still cannot open my email via firefox

Firefox keeps freezing repeatedly when I try to watch a video on Youtube. This has never happen before and started today (Wednesday) for some strange reason. I already restarted Firefox and my Abode Flash Player is up to date. Any possible answers and solutions?

I downloaded some program from cnet, which used to be a reputable source, but now seems to be riddled with malware. The item I downloaded was not what I thought it was and I promptly removed it from my computer. I also managed to remove snap.do toolbar from all my browsers and my computer with little effort. HOWEVER, I cannot seem to get rid of snap.do. It seems as though it has hijacked the startpage of all my browsers, IE, Chrome,Safari, and Firefox all show snap.do whenever I open them. Of course I can click past this and go to a different page with no trouble. I can reset the homepage in tools-internet options and every time I hit the little house button, I can go back to that homepage. BUT if I turn my browser OFF, when I turn it back on, snap.do is the homepage once more. I have run anti-malware from Kaspersky and Webroot, neither finding anything. I have reset Firefox. I have done a flushDNS through config. I have checked all the settings for the LAN, Internet protocol, and HOSTS folder. I have even reset the router to factory settings. I am at a complete loss. All I want is for my homepage to come up when I open my browser, any browser. Since Firefox is my preferred browser, I am asking you. I keep getting this popup when using Firefox: "WARNING! your flash player may be out of date." I can tell it's phishing and I've never had this problem before. How can I get this to stop when using Firefox? It doesn't happen with IE.

SUPPOSEDLY this issue was solved; it wasn't, not by any of the answerers. I solved it. I tried Search Reset 0.2 and found that it did NOTHING. Same problem: Every time you open a new tab, Bing opens the accursed thing (I blame Mozilla because when I installed the package I got from their site, it informed me during installation that it was optimized for Bing and I LOATHE Bing and was pissed because no non-Bing alternative was offered), NOT the default New Tab page with recently used page panes on it. I removed a disabled toolbar incompatible with this newer version of Firefox, uTorrent Community Toolbar, and Webroot toolbar (keep in mind that the Search Reset is supposed to be a No Restart Required add-on). I restarted, opened a new tab, and was gratified to see NO BING BULLCRAP.

One might argue that this was covered and closed already. Not exactly, not specifically. Generalities are NO GOOD for specific problems. I can't explain WHY this worked, because NONE of the toolbars had anything to do with Bing, and none of the toolbars in question had been active (uTorrent Community Toolbar had been removed in Control Panel> Programs & Features, yet still showed up in Firefox's toolbars list; this seems to happen with Firefox sometimes).

I don't need an answer...NOW, but I think a few others might find this works for them. For a variety of reasons, not everyone will get the same results, or even SEE this problem on their systems. I would have added this to the question that didn't satisfy me, but someone CLOSED it.

Hello, I have this problem were whenever I try to type in something into the search or addresys bars, nothing happens. It's like the enter key isn't working. There is not usual picture next to the search bar (the one that shows you what search engine you're using. If it's google it shows a "g" next to the bar). Instead there is just a picture of a blank page as a placeholder. When I try to go in and add a new search engine by managing the search engine list, there is no option to add a new search engine. I have already tried going into the firefox folder on my computer and deleted the formhistory.sqlite file that is the supposed problem. No avail. I have even gone so far to delete and reinstall firefox to my computer. Well, that didn't work either. So I waited until the next update to see if my problem would be fixed THEN. I am currently on firefox 19.0, which is, as of writing, the most current version. I have tried restarting firefox with all addons removed. And for good measure, I deleted anything that ended with ".sqlite" in my firefox folder. I have tried to get the the about:config menu but do not know how considering how my address bar refuses to search. The greatest thing is that my address bar can still remember all the sites I've typed into it before, but for some unknown reason, cannot take me to any of them! I really don't know what to do next. I can only suppose that I could try completely deleting everything firefox has stored on my computer, as I don't know if just uninstalling the program actually did that. Other then my search bar problem, firefox has been acting fairly normally besides a few minor hiccups here and there. I am trying to remember if I downloaded anything before my search bar problems started or not, but it is always a possibility. I did download the firefox beta for windows 8 metro mode but I can't remember if that was before or after firefox started acting up. It's possible considering that softonic thought they were being really nice by including fbdownloader for free with my firefox metro browser. I am now no longer using softonic ever again. But that's all the evidence I can think up right off the tip of my head. Sorry if this was kinda long, and if any of my description isn't clear or make sense please ask and I can try to verify. Also, if I haven't said this already, my search bar is only not working in firefox. Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Safari are all working fine. Just my luck, I guess. If anyone could help me out, I'd be much obliged. Not being able to use the address bar has been really inefficient. Thank you.

It only happens if I go from a streaming video tab to another tab or browser screen/software etc. anything that switches the main view of my screen from the video and back will cause this problem.

it will play fine at first, but once I look at facebook or bring up itunes etc, and switch back (usually doesnt occur right away, but once the video is a minute or two in it will 100%) the video will start to lag horribly and will never get back on track. the play buttons on youtube/netflix even stay as pause buttons even though I can click play and pause back and forth functionally, and the audio will never skip a beat, but the video will stop dead, lag a few frames and stop dead again and will never correct unless I refresh the page. I can't recreate this in chrome, I've cleared my history and caches, upped the storage size on the main cache and tried updating various things like flash and firefox (19.0) but nothing is solving it!

Every time that I try to get on YouTube or certain other sites, Firefox locks up for at least 60 seconds. Eventually I have to use Task Manager to close firefox. Then I have to go to IE or Chrome to view the pages.

I can get no help on this matter. I have tried every recommendation. I am afraid that firefox has no interest in solving this. I can use IE or Chrome [or Safari] without problem.

by the way, every time I try to contact firefox I have to register under another ID. My ID NEVER works and firefox NEVER sends a Password help email. EVERY time firefox says that my email is already used for firefox, but I NEVER receive ANY password email help at my address.

I am Firefox user since its verson2.

I am using windows 7, Firefox was working correctly but few days back when my system engineer installed Symantec end point protection and domain. My Firefox start freezing very frequently (It is not crashing). But it is too irritating to work now.

I want to use same in future. Please help me to resolve the same.
