As of late, my Firefox browser has been freezing my entire computer. It keeps saying that it is "not responding", my mouse turns into that blue circular loading screen, I can't exit anything, I can't even open task manager, I have to take the battery out just for my computer to turn off.

I scanned everything with Norton; didn't detect anything. I even did the Norton Power Eraser, still nothing. I set Firefox to run the program as an administrator and I thought it was fixed but it wasn't.

I even update my plug-ins and for some reason, your website keeps telling me I need to update the same ones, so I can't even rely on that.

I noticed that it does happen when I'm on a Youtube page. Like when I've paused a video.

It opens fast, it browses fast, it goes to certain websites fast. It's this annoyance that has really bothered me and has considered me switching to Google Chrome.

If you don't want me to, then tell me how to fix this issue.

TODAY A "SEARCH HERE" TAB APPEARED ON MY HOME PAGE. I CANNOT FIND A "PROGRAM" TO UNINSTALL IT. I HAVE REBOOTED, RESTORED TO A PREVIOUS POINT AND IT IS STILL THERE. HOW DO I DELETE THIS TAB.

i reinstalled firefox to my desktop the previous one used to show my homepage google when i opened a new tab in my home page .but it doesnot open my homepage google now it is blank with some rectangular blocks

I've always had Google as my homepage on Firefox and now it's AOL with AOL Search, I don't want this, I want Google, how do I get rid of AOL, I've tried everything I could think of.

A few weeks ago Facebook started acting strange in Firefox. I can't post or share anything. Basically I'm limited to liking. It's like the buttons just don't work. I've tried clearing my cache and deleting my cookies but the problem still persists. Any help would be appreciated.

THE TASKBAR NO LONGER APPEARS WHEN FIREFOX IS OPEN. I HAVE NO WAY TO SEE OPEN WINDOWS. I HAVE NO DATE/TIME, ETC. ALSO THE LOCATION BAR IS GONE SO I HAVE NO WAY TO ENTER NEW URLS. IT IS JUST THE CONTENT FILLING THE WINDOW. I HAVE WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2 I THINK. RESTORE THE TASKBAR!!!!!

Hi, When i logon to Internet banking and make payments and i try and print the proof of payment and download any payments the above is the error it keeps giving me but it use to work a couple of I have updated everything that needed to be updated and nothing works.Still have the same problem and don't know what i can do to fix it?

my sound works on mozilla for everything i found but netflix, i have don't all the steps netflix has suggested but i still have no sound on mozilla but do on other browers, i have checked that mozilla volume is set to full and on but still have no sound. i have made sure my audio codecs and mozilla is up to date. is there any other things i might try because i really like using mozilla not other browsers.

firefox is my prefered browser, however a problem with photobucket has occured. Cannot open photobucket and pictures from photobucket which have been posted to a Forum have dissapered!. Yet if I use Google, all is well, no problems at all!!! Yor advise please...cheers

Firefox won't play youtube videos embedded on other sites, but plays the videos on youtube.com this only happens with youtube, and did not happen with non-youtube videos embedded in other websites, atleast not yet.

(sorry for long link) i have tried disabling some of my add-ons to no avail. i have scanned my computer with Avast! and malware bytes. i haven't been on any dodgy sites when it happens. i have just realised, but i think it might be every time i click a link, a new page with an ad will open. it only happens on any link once.

any ideas?

I am running the latest version of Firefox (17.0.1)

I have a number of add-ons all of which are disabled and which I would like to remove. Unfortunately there is no remove button.

I have read the FAQs and community help which tells me that if there is no remove button then the add-ons are there through being added globally by other software. However on of the add-ons that I want to remove is Google Toolbar for Firefox - how could that have been added by another application?

Any suggestions gratefull received.

When I go to my Facebook page, part of it has a message that reads "ads by browse to save" maybe a hundred times on the page. If I click on a picture or something, "ads by browse to save" will keep popping up, as long as the window is open, making it nearly impossible to comment/read other comments. I clicked the link and it brought me to browsetosave.com which gives instructions on how to uninstall it from firefox.

The PROBLEM is that "Browse to save" doesn't show up on my list of extensions/add-ons/plug-ins. This happened to me before with a different "ad" website and I had to uninstall/reinstall firefox. I was hoping to not have to do that again, especially since I don't know what's causing it. I do have screenshots (although I don't see where to add them).

Any help would be appreciated!

I tried to disable javascript and it facebook worked. The problem is no button was clickable, I can't post anything, in short, I can't do anything. I have to force close firefox whenever this happens. According to my firefox, I have the latest version. I also tried uninstalling and installing it again, I tried disabling the plugins or run it in safemode but nothing seems to solve it. This problem just happened after I deleted some compressed old files from my C drive.

My Firefox profile has a folder with the file name Cache.Trash16149. It is 2.7GB and has over 640 thousand files in it. I cleared the cache and a second Cache.Trash folder was created with the latest round of deleted files.

Why is Firefox keeping all the deleted cache files in my profile? How do I get rid of them? How do I keep Firefox from keeping them?

I am running FF 17.0.1 on a 64 bit Win7 computer.

When I try to install any of the search engine plugins from http://mycroft.mozdev.org/index.html, I get the following msg: «JavaScript must be enabled to install a search plugin. If you have installed NoScript, you will need to allow this page to run scripts.»

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10, Mozilla FF 17.0.1 and JavaScript is already enabled in it. The same plugins create no whatsoever problem in Windows7, so why can't I use them in Ubuntu too?

P.S. I've noticed that all the problematic plugins (most of the good ones out there!), are all preceded by the OpenSearch "A9" icon for Mozilla FF v. 2/3. The ones preceded by the Mac Apple icon, are swiftly added to the list of search engines and give no problem at all. However, these are few in number and the ones I want, are mostly OpenSearch compatible. Any way to fix this issue?

Whenever I search using the address bar it keeps going to Yahoo. I already updated the configuration "keyword.URL" to "https://www.google.com/search?q=" but it doesn't work.

I have tried uninstalling FF and it still happens with a fresh install.

Please help me fix this. TIA.
