On starting Firefox today I found a new command bar on my start up page. It appears to be mix.dj V8 community bar, could you lell me how I can remove this as I certainly did not install it. I can disable it from the view command but I have no idea what this is.

I have tried both versions 20 and 21 and both have the bugs below so I ended up having to re-install version 19: 1.) Versions 20 and 21 add a new toolbar that has nothing but a "Firefox" button on it - and no way to get rid of this toolbar is provided. It wastes far too much space on my laptop's screen - that button should have been put on one of the other toolbars or simply made part of the icon set that users can use to customize their menubar or other toolbars. 2.) That new toolbar is not customizable. Hence, I don't have the option of recovering screen space by moving everything from my menubar onto the new toolbar then hiding the menubar. 3.) The back, forward, and stop|reload buttons on my menubar no longer work. Moving them back to the navigation toolbar and showing that toolbar does not solve the problem. Nor can I right-click on a web page and select those functions from the context menu: they are permanently disabled there too. 4.) I can no longer right click on the menubar or a toolbar and get a context menu from which you I can pick a "customize" option - I can't get a context menu AT ALL. In order to customize things for versions 20 or 21, I first have to reinstall version 19, do the customizations, then reinstall version 20 or 21.

When I try to go to a web site from another web site or from an email from a link, I am required to click on the "ALLOW" button every time. It seems like if I have already clicked on it that I have allowed it. It is very frustrating. If it can't be fixed, I will either go back to an older version of firefox or choose another browser

This is the second time I'm filling in all of this information, I hope it works this time.

A while back I changed mailto to Firefox in Options>Applications>mailto After that, when I would click on an email address, Firefox would open new tabs VERY quickly and would not stop until I used Task Manager to close Firefox. I then went back and changed mailto back to Always Ask. But the same thing still happens when I click an email address, Firefox opens tabs very rapidly until I close it with task manager. I then checked the settings in about:config "network.protocol-handler.external.mailto" and it is set to default, boolean, true I don't want a default email program to be set, I want it to always ask. Please help with this. Thank you.

When I went to watch Netflix today the watch instantly page did not show right and I couldn't watch anything. However, the selecting DVD side of things showed correctly, it is just the watch instantly that doesn't work. I get a list of everything that is normally on the page, but no link to the videos (there are pictures, but nothing else). I called their support line and their page looked correct to him, so he walked me though some tricks to get my page correct. We cleared the cookies and tried different browsers, restarted my computer and checked my version of Java. It all looked good or didn't fix it. He ran out of tricks to try. He suggested that I contact you to help me. I followed all of the trick on your link about pages don't look right, and they didn't work either. Now I am at a loss and would really like to get this solved. Thanks

Trying to open spreadsheets with Explorer that were saved with Firefox as browser. Are spreadsheets tied to browser used? If that's the case I plead ignorance. Is there anyway to recover? I am somewhat technologically challenged so please answer in layman's language. I reinstalled Firefox but no cigar. Tks so much! Hopes this makes sense...

I run windows XP on PC. A windows explorer style window popped up, urging me to update to Firefox 21. The window included a "more info" link and a "remind me later" and "install" button. I have never seen this style of notification before so clicked nothing and dismissed the window. Is this a legitimate firefox notification? If not, what have I been invaded by, and how do I proceed?

I recently lost a pretty big browsing session with many tabs. I turned on my computer and an adobe update appeared instantly. I accidentally clicked ok and it opened up a new window...and i was no able to restore my previous session. I rebooted and tried again, and the adobe page how now become my restoreable session! :( Is there any chance there is an archived file i can recall to get back my browsing session from 1 or 2 back? ie. sessionrestore.bak(-1) or (-2)

For the last few days my Firefox does not display the downloads window. I have tried to follow the suggestion set out in Firefox Help ie Tools --> Options --> General

But my General Tab doesn't show under Downloads the option to check the box "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file". Under Downloads, the only option shows "save files to Downloads" and "Always ask me where to save files".

Any suggestions on how I can get to --> Downloads the option to check the box "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file".

I'm using FireFox 20.0. I downloaded the add-in, installed it and re-started FireFox but LastPass doesn't show up in the add-ins nor does it fill in the login info on sites that I have in my LastPass vault.

I am not the only one having this problem why is Mozilla not doing something about it? I am about fed up & may have to change to a different browser! Firefox was the best browser I've ever had but not anymore! Wish I could go back to the old version--it worked just fine! The new version is when I started having this trouble! Time for Mozilla to step up & get a fix or you will be losing more than me I think! I've disabled real arcade & most other add-ons. That didn't help either.

I'm trying to decide which browser I should use as my primary browser. I know that most of the people here will say Firefox, but I'd like to hear a more detailed explanation on why. Thanks!

hi, i'm using ff 20.0.1, and moving to v.21. never could find written instructions in v.20 about how to turn off pvt. browsing. a helpful forum member showed me how, by clicking on orange ff icon at top right of screen.

how do i turn on and turn off private browsing function in v.21?

windows xp pro, sp3, lenovo x201 laptop, [comcast wireless, no complains about it]

Ever since Firefox updated to 22, I've been experiencing problems with Firefox. It was working completely fine until now. There are two issues I have here. 1. Firefox hangs when I open it. Has a slight chance of not hanging sometimes, but the browser would be too slow to use. 2. This problem happens when I go to any website. When I load a page, the word undefined is shown repeatedly across the entire page.

I've tried disabling the following addons, but both issues persist: Noscript, Internet Download Manager, Stylish, Dictionary, quick search

I keep getting hangs when opening the browser, so it's tough to test the other addons. What's strange is that these addons work fine on my brother's desktop computer. My other addons untested: Speedfox, Adblock, WOT, FVD fast dial, quicknote

I'm out of ideas to fix it. Are there any other methods to fixing my browser? Am I able to get a diagnostic list of my browser, that I can post here for assistance?
