In Firefox for Android on my Samsung phone I granted a certificate exception to a site I trust. For testing I want to remove that exception but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that from the browser. How do I remove this security exception?

Best solution I've found so far: Deleting the key3.db file which also nukes all your stored passwords.

Some meta data for searches: "You have added a security exception for this site", encrypted, certificate store, firefox, android, version 21.0

Many times in the past few years after a break off my computer, I find folders opened that I never opened and web sites visited that I never visited. It is as though someone else is accessing my computer. Others do use my computer, but I usually always switch them over to another account (guest).

I allowed a security exception for a website I thought was a familiar one, but found out later it was not (one letter difference in the address-grrr). By going to tools, option, encryption, and view certificates, it allowed me to delete it under "servers", but will not allow me to do ANYTHING to it, not even view it, under authorities and others (it appears in both sections). Is this bad? Is there a way to get it off my computer??

This has been asked before with no satisfactory solution. The last thread was closed with the (IMHO) flippant comment that one should just close all your tabs and then close the browser. Well thats just all so useful!

So.. I am running nightly 24a and this "problem" still exists. Namely: one uses the clear browsing history function yet the list of recently closed tabs and windows remain. THIS IS A FAIL. I can understand a warning might be appropriate (with option to turn off) that clearing history will also clear the recently closed lists (or even make it an extra check box). But hello? how many people want to clear the history and *not* clear the recently closed lists too?

If I am mistaken and there is now some ->easy<- way to do this, please reply. And by easy, I mean not mucking about in about:config to change settings and then put them back.

Thanks!

We have a problem with an internal application that doesn't work correctly when the two security options of block reported attack sites and block reported web forgeries are ticked. We do not want to simply disable these settings as we see their value. My question is where does Firefox go to check the db of these reported sites. I would like to open up access to those destination so this will no longer be a problem

Hello,

On my website I have a SSL certificate installed so you can reach it via https://www.example.net and http://www.example.net. To administer my website, I access it over https but when I just want to see the changes or simply visit the website, I don't want to see the the website over https. I want to visit it over the http. However, since Firefox "remembers" this website can be reached over https even when I type in the address bar www.example.net it takes me to https://www.example.net. I have to manually remove the "s" or enter the full http://www.example.net address in order to see the website over http. While some may find this default behavior desirable, I find it annoying and should I wish to access the website over https I will enter the full address with https at the beginning. My question is, how do I disable the Firefox from defaulting to https connection? I'd not like to disable completely the auto fill feature if that's the only way to do it.

Firefox 20.0 on OS X 10.8.3.

Thank you, Goran

My privacy settings dictate that when I quit firefox, all my history (saved forms, page visits, cookies, cache, etc.) is deleted - i.e. 'keep until: I close Firefox'. When I started using sync, this stopped happening, and I'd open Firefox again to find that my history from the previous session was still recorded. I decided to delete my sync account, yet since then I still have the same issue, even though my privacy settings remain unchanged. I have had to manually delete my history each time I start a session. This behaviour is obscure, since it goes against how I've setup Firefox.

When I login to Yahoo mail, it signs me out after a couple hours even though I selected to remain signed in for 2 weeks in account settings. This same sign out behavior occurs in IE 10 also. This is a Windows 7 Home OS desktop. This problem only happens on this one computer for me at home. It only started doing this a couple weeks ago on this computer. I have had this computer for at least 2 years and it never signed me out automatically prior to this. I am pretty sure the problem is due to Firefox.

But my computer at work which is also Windows 7 never signs me out of Yahoo Mail like this. I already contacted Yahoo about this problem and followed all of their troubleshooting steps to no avail. Is this a known issue? (I do have Microsoft Security Essentials installed also).
