My engineers have built several websites for me with javascript slideshows with transitions, probably based on JQuery scripts. These scripts worked absolutely fine in Firefox (Mac) when the sites were built but have since latest update to Firefox 21 broken. Engineers say that Firefox has introduced a bug. The strange thing is that one site where the script was broken it is now working again (just checked) but another site (www.woodhousecreative.co.uk) where it used to work is now broken. The scripts are customised per site. Script works fine in Chrome, Safari and Opera (all Mac) and as far as I know in Windows browsers. Is this something Mozilla is aware of and working to fix?

I am having a hard time importing my bookmarks into a fresh install of Firefox under Mac OS 10.6.8?

I use Xmarks for my bookmark storage.

After installing the Xmarks plug-in and running through the initial sync, Firefox (21) just hangs and I have to force quit when the final bookmark importation is attempted.

I am in touch with Xmarks, but last night I tried something different, I downloaded my bookmarks from Xmarks as a html file and tried importing it manually into FF and the same thing happened, it just hangs, the beach ball spins and I have to force quit?

Any support on this would be greatly appreciated

I use to have my history show for the last few months. No it only shows for the last (24) hours. My settings are set to save all history and it is not on Private Browsing Mode. How can I get it back to the original setting?

I have two Firefox downloaders - Easy YouTube Video Downloader 6.8 and 1-Click YouTube Video Downloader 2.0.6. Both work fine on videos that are not VEVO. I was able to until a few days ago. Any ideas?

hello: I just deleted a folder holding many bookmarks from my bookmark toolbar (inadvetedly. i thought i was deleting the one next to it....

is there any way to get it back or have i lost all those bookmarks, there is like 200 in that folder. thankyou

There is a pop up security update that comes up when I open or sometimes when I'm in the middle of another program on firefox. It says I need to install or download or something to that effect for security purposes. However, when I attempt to do that it just sits there and says that it is trying to connect to the server and it will sit there forever if I let it. So I just keep closing it sometimes with the tell me later button and lately with the close button. When I press the more info button it takes me to the mozilla firefox site but I don't find any info on this update that it says I need to have. HELP. I can't get rid of it and it is annoying to have it keep popping up all the time.

hi. adblock plus and adblock plus pop-up addon worked without a problem for a long time. suddenly they block everything even when i 'allow' and 'disable on this page' or 'disable on this website' and all kinds of other stuff. nothing i do will stop them from blocking everything. i can't share on any social websites like twitter, facebook, i can't do anything on ebay or carry out online orders at stores.

Before I changed internet service providers, I could type my search queries into the url bar and receive search results from Google. After I switched ISPs, my queries typed into the url bar are put into my new ISP's horrible search engine. How do I change it back?

I've already tried going to about:config and changing the value of the keyword.URL preference to "http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=" but that didn't fix my problem.

New information since creation of the post:

My ISP is Optimum. I have opted out of DNS Assistance and still have seen no change.

When my search term is two words or more, I am directed to Google search results. If my search term is only one word, however, I am still directed to Optimum's search results.

I am running OS 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro and have been using Firefox for years as my primary browser. The crashes have been increasing over the last few months until now, Firefox crashes multiple times a day. I cannot get the Preferences to open from the File menu. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I am at a loss to figure out what to do next. All my other applications run fine. Firefox is running on other Macs in our house under newer operating systems, but this has become a severe problem.

My privacy settings dictate that when I quit firefox, all my history (saved forms, page visits, cookies, cache, etc.) is deleted - i.e. 'keep until: I close Firefox'. When I started using sync, this stopped happening, and I'd open Firefox again to find that my history from the previous session was still recorded. I decided to delete my sync account, yet since then I still have the same issue, even though my privacy settings remain unchanged. I have had to manually delete my history each time I start a session. This behaviour is obscure, since it goes against how I've setup Firefox.

I have a problem in visualizing panoramas and objects on my website (www.dee-lay.com); all other browsers do not have this flickering problem ..is something about my mistake?

iMac running Snow Lepard 10.6.8, all bookmarks are currently in Camino browser and Camino isn't functioning any more. It's a Mozilla browser so why isn't a choice to import from into Firefox? Or is there another way to access my Camino bookmarks?

when I click on the Firefox icon the Firefox page won't load. I get the error message that says "The address isn't valid" Undernieth It says The URL is not valid and can't be loaded. I don't know why the browser won't open it had worked up until yesturday.

I am using MAC PRO, system 10.6.8 and for some reason, I upgraded to FF 21 and my HD started to get corrupted. I had to revert back to 20 and everything seem to be ok. I used disk utility to fix it and that worked but am afraid if I continue to upgrade I will get these error messages. I am not sure if this is the issue.

I'm reviving this issue because a previous unresolved thread on it was closed, and I have a solution that works for me.

The issue is in Yahoo mail. When composing a message in full HTML mode, the font size increases with each carriage return (new line or "Enter").

(This is still a problem as of June 2013 and the current version of Firefox for Mac - version 21.0)

The solution that works for me is:

View > Zoom > uncheck Zoom Text Only

I'm running OS X with the newest Firefox (the Yahoo Edition.) Suddenly, double clicking in the top of the window no longer collapses it into the dock. I've tried repairing permissions and dumping the Firefox prefs to no avail. I just did a Firefox security update a few days ago and I'm wondering if that has anything to do the problem.

How can I protect myself????? I see on the web that other Firefox users got this problem...

the warning is from http://www.yourmplayer.com... I didn't try it since I'm afraid of some virus or so... So you should try that. Yours is the only browser having this. If I use Safari I don't have this problem. Thanks

Im going insane with the spinning beachball on mac when using Firefox v21.

It happens several times per minute with something as simple as choosing the next field on a page or even scrolling down the page using the scroller on the right hand of the page.

Im on a laptop which has os 10.6.8 installed and the laptop has 8gig of ram and a 2.8ghz intel core 2 duo processor.

On previous versions of Firefox I used to get "unresponsive script" warnings with the option to stop it. These warnings would pop up and never give the option to "always stop an unresponsive script AND never take total control of my computer trying to get the script to respond" There is no option to block the script on the site its coming from.

I did have a block script plug in but no sites work properly if java script isnt enabled.

With Firefox21 I dont get these pop up warnings any more.

I have a lot of tabs open and when the spinning beach ball happens too often I quit firefox and open it again. It remembers my tabs but doesnt load till I click on the tab.

Despite this Firefox will start stalling and showing the beachball spinning only after a few new pages are opened.

It is enfuriating and I dont consider the software to be working properly.

Im wondering has something gottten corrupted in the System Library when firefox installs or if there is a compatability problem with versions of Firefox, my OS10.6.8, Java, Flash?

I can only look at one tab at a time - I WOULD LOVE IF THERE WAS AN OPTION TO

"NOT GIVE ANY RESOURCES TO OTHER TABS WHICH ARENT BEING VIEWED"

I used to use a plug in called Pause All Tabs which was brilliant and gave me back control of my computer. I cant get it for FF21

So what can I do? Use Chrome instead?
