I receive a newsletter that has information I need. Since I chose Fire Fox as my default setting, I haven't been able to open it. It was so easy making Fire Fox my default, but not so easy to remove it. Jim Kennedy

I am unable to update gmail, nor use HULU and other similar sites because I am unable to update my firefox. When I try, i get as far as opening the applications folder after downloading firefox, and i get a message that says: unable to use this app firefox on this version of MAC OS X op system. PLease help me get hooked up!

I have a mac lap top from 2007. When I try to down load fire fox, I get a message telling me mac os x 10.4.2 does not support the new fire fox. Is there something else I can do? Thank you!

First of all, I use a Macintosh! All previous attempts to answer my problem were addressed to that other computer medium, Windows. I apologize for this. For whatever reason, I lose the Address Field when I pull up Firefox, that blank space awaiting my entry of some web site I want to visit. It's just not there. I go through the Preferences, etc, and cannot retrieve it, although I have done so in the past but God knows how. Thank you all.

A few days ago my window at the top of the page suddenly disappeared, so now I cannot access new or quick to type in internet addresses anymore. As well, also the little google window on the right top side disappeared. To make things worse, even on another top bar were some icons, one of which looked like a house that - when klicked - got me to google. Now I have nothing but only tabs of old internet addresses to access, but not what I want, i.e. a new address that I usually just typed into the address bar.

Addon's quit working with that 10.0.7, now i can get anything to run showip shows up as none, webmail notifier does not work, the finder quits working and i have to continual relaunch, preference In general the Behavior not functioning as designed. here is what i have-Firefox

Preference window sometimes will let me make changes and sometimes not. showip does not list ip addr tenfourfox will go into not responsive mode and right now this appl uses 340 mb, i still have 400mb free and cpu is maxed with on 20-40 processes..

I was running FF 14 and updated to FF 15. Now I would like to try running FF 14 again just to do some testing, but when I launch FF 14 it finds the update file and automatically updates to FF 15. How do I prevent this from happening? Where is the update file stored? I assume I have to get rid of it but have to know where it is first. (Mac OS-X 10.5.8, MacBook Intel)

Firefox is counting graphics in the body of emails I receive as attachments. For instance, if someone has a strip of social media symbols under their business info, that shows up counted as an attachment at the top of the message and at the bottom as a jpeg. It's confusing and annoying. Is there a setting I can change to stop it?

I have Mac OS X 10.4 and Firefox 3.6.28. I keep getting this message when going to different sites. Most times the message disappears so quickly I do not have time to even click on the "allow" button. Sometimes I do click it, but still cannot get to the page! I read some other questions and answers re going to preferences, advanced, general, and clicking the third box under accessibility, regarding "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page". If I "uncheck" the box, the only thing that happens is I don't see the message any more. But it still will not load the page! Can anyone help?? Thank you!!

http://www.facebook.com/#!/ I get the number sign in the address. Not sure why, it appears on many sites. Just wondering why it happens. It is not there at first and they it appears. Hope you can help.

Mac Pro OSX 10.4.11. Download said it would not work with this OS version. I called help and they told me how to put back the previous version of Firefox.

Will this one work, I do not want to have to do that again.

We have two Macs on this router at different numbers, The other Mac is running has OSX 10.5.xx

After updating to firefox 3.6.8 on my macbook pro (OS X 10.4.11) Firefox fails to recognize subsequent mouse clicks. You can access the page initially, but then it seems to lose focus and become unresponsive to mouse clicks until you do something to break the cycle (clicking on desktop, minimizing and resizing window, etc). I reinstalled Adobe Flash update using full installer, since others have suggested that as a possible cause, but no joy. The browser window still does not recognize mouseclicks after an initially successful page load. You can tab to the next window (for example, if you want to enter something in search) but you cannot CLICK to enter the search window, nor can you click on links on the page, etc. It is totally unresponsive.

I recently installed flashplayer 10. up until then everything was fine. Now you tube, hulu and other video content does not play. I tried removing it and default to flip for mac but the sites continue to ask for the flash upgrade.

All of a sudden I cannot watch any videos using Firefox. All I get is a square black box. I can see them if I use Safari. Why isn't my Firefox working? What can I do? Thanks.

Firefox uses way too much CPU. Running MAC OSX and ff 3.6.3 using "activity monitor" shows Firefox uses typically 96% of my CPU !!

I use Firefox (Mac) as my browser of choice at work. I have been a regular user of the www.yousendit.com website for file transferring. Only recently, I can no longer complete file transfers on the Mac. The progress bar stalls at the very beginning and does not advance. This doesn't appear to be the case on the PC side at work, as I can perform these actions. I'm wondering if a recent update (Firefox 3.6.6) or some other change has altered the functionality and causes a conflict while working with yousendit.com -- Mac side only?

I recently updated FF from 3.5.2 to 3.6.6 and had problems with 3.6.6 in reference to my Dreamweaver program. Decided to go back to 3.5.2 and then decided to update plug-ins. Quicktime plug-in 7.6.4 (from 7.6.2) now shows as vulnerable. Why?
