I have that Value Apps icon added to my toolbar and cannot remove it.

Tried all the common solutions (add ons etc.) as far as I know and those config changes suggested in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/713710. That does remove the icon for a while but it then re-appears. I do not want that icon, is it malicious? The pop up window associated with it has not been installed consciously by me and I do not want it. At best it annoys me.

I have not tried the last suggestion on that link "SUCCESS! I uninstalled FF using the Revo uninstaller in the most thorough mode and then reinstalled FF." yet. Can anyone tell me what the Revo uninstaller is and implications?

Further I have more info. I use Zone Alarm Extreme security (for years and am happy with it) and it installs a Security toolbar in Firefox. No real issues to date but I recently noticed the Value Apps icon (no idea how long it was there) It appears to the right of the ZA search box sizing separator. As above resetting Conduit config parameters does eliminate the toolbar icon for a while but it also eliminates the ZA toolbar as it also uses Conduit.

ZA help was limited (not my usual experience) and I wonder were to go from here?

I've now removed and re-installed the Shockwave Flash plug-in twice and deleted and re-installed Firefox itself twice and still the Flash script keeps hanging Firefox for several minutes, several times a night, either when I go to a Flash-rich page or try to do some with a Flash object (e.g. share a Youtube video from one page on Facebook to another). A friend suggests it might be because my pc is 10 years old and can't keep up with the current Flash. If so, can I get a an older version of Flash as I can't afford a new pc. Thanks.

There is a lot of discussion on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=812695 about the right workaround or how to apply it. I'm starting this forum thread to move the discussion.

From the bug the current workarounds are:

• in about:config set gfx.direct2d.disabled to true
• in about:config set gfx.content.azure.backends to cairo instead of direct2D
• Uninstall IE10 and update KB2670838

I must have accidently uninstalled an audio device and I've tried several things to fix it, but to no avail. Do I have to have a sound card, or can this be fixed by installing a program? Please help me - I'm not very computer literate....obviously. Thank you.

I'll get pop-ups while just clicking FF or clicking in dead space of a page (to get out of the address bar). It happens at random times and web pages.

I have the same problem as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/881844 but with fx 21.

Firefox 21 on Ubuntu 13.04 stops loading pages after a while, ranging from less than an hour to a day, of regular browsing. It gets stuck on "looked up whatever.com" or "connecting to..." message. Restarting the browser makes it work for another period.

Changing network.http.max-connections did not help, clearing various history items (cookies, cache, ..., or everything except saved passwords) did not help.

I now disabled ipv6 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can?#w_ipv6 and prefetching but the fact that the problem occurs after several hours makes it hard to test.

I can view a page regularly, like everything is normal until i go to log in. I get a blank page as soon as the page loads, and this happens to many websites. Ive tried searching in safemode, editing my firewall settings, removing cookies, disabling plug-ins, clearing history/cache, but i've had no luck so far. Anyone have any solutions ? I notice that every page i load includes ".php" in the URL bar. Thanks in advance

I have greatly enjoyed Firefox on Android for quite some time, but with the latest update, the browser crashes every single time that it is opened. There is no particular set of circumstances that will cause the crashes - simply opening Firefox always seems to be the trigger.

I've been involved in the writing of a HTML5 web-app, but there's one consistent issue we experience.

The app works in all browsers (IE7+, FF, Chrome etc) but, there's one significant difference between ALL IE versions, Chrome and FF.

The pages render so faster in all the others than they do in FF (Latest release).

The difference is staggering.

Whilst the pages do have a lot of JS+CSS, there's an enormous lag between the content being downloaded to the browser and, it running it to enhance the page.

As a little background, the site makes heavy use of JQuery, JQueryUI and a number of other techniques. Some of the pages can contain 30+ CSS and 30+ JS files (Combined and Minified in production, but still as slow). Once the page has fully rendered, the performance in usage is fine (comparable to the rest) but, it's this significant delay that's really puzzling and, more importantly, affecting the end user experience.

I'd welcome any suggestions, questions etc. on what can be done / what more you need to know in order to assist.

(Regarding the hardware being used, I don't see this as a factor as it works fine in all other browsers but, my specific setup is a Quad i7, 8GB RAM, SSD, Win 8)

My firefox always freezes and gives me script errors every time it loads on every web page I go to and this causes it to completely lock up not even allowing me to use the tools in the menu or help. I have tried clearing my cache, my cookies, going back to flash 10.3, resetting to factory defaults in safe mode and finally uninstalling then re-installing firefox. None of those things have worked. Firefox is my prefered browser and I would like to get it working properly again.

While trying to search something on google, Firefox tries to download my search as if i clicked on a download link to a program.

Although this does not happens all the time, it is frequent enough to become frustrated.

I have a screen shot if this if it is needed.

My Firefox crashes when trying to open 75% of web pages. I get the windows standard "Firefox is not responding" window after it freezes while trying to load the page.

I have singled out the problem to be the Shockwave Flash (11.5.502.149) plugin as everything works correctly with this disabled.

I have tried updated flash, uninstalling and re-installing it and the same with FF but nothing seems to work so far.

When Firefox is Minimized, Flash Player Content does not. It shows it perfectly with other opened (not minimized) applications in the exact location where it was (the flash content) before. The other application seems to need an RGB colour map of exactly #000000 for it to show.

It cannot be captured in a screenshot using screengrab, nor can it be shown in playback from recordmydesktop.

The error messages for sync aren't useful. I don't know what the problem is, other then "it gives an error."

It has "success" and "error" together. Is it saying that success failed? The log is in yoda-speak.

What is the error here?

Does "status.sync: success.sync => error.login.reason.network" and the surrounding messages indicate that sync sucess failed? What do the other messages mean? All I see is that will try again.
