download for firefox doesn't work
i've been asked to upgrade Firefox on our Windows xp. Once program is "downloaded", nothing changes. Down load does not seem to have occured.
In the Profile folder I don't see passwords, how do I find them?
I am looking for saved passwords for various sites like emails etc. I do not see it in the Profile folder in under the security tab in Firefox Options.
Firefox tells me I'm runnign an old version, and asks me to Update. Then it says automatic update is normal! Which is it?

adobe flash plugin crashed, how do I fix it?

Can not update or uninstall firefox because wizard says firefox must be closed to proceed with the update, as far as I can see fire fox is shut down.
Task manager does not show fire fox running, but the update wizard thinks that it is.

I have not noticed this happen when I am viewing videos on other websites. Also, this does not happen when I watch youtube videos in Internet Explorer. This problem just recently started occurring.

Why does it take so long to open Firefox when selected? This happened Every time Firefox opened == has continually gotten slower for months. Last time it took 92 seconds.

the computer shut down sometime in the middle of the night, maybe a windows update- how knows. There was a foxfire update install pending. When I got to the computer this morning I had to restart foxfire and it did the install. But I never had a "restore last session" question or opportunity from foxfire. Favorites is OLD information, not what I use day in, day out; I use the tabs for that. I need last session restored.

Have performed a complete uninstall/reinstall, removing both the program files\mozilla folder and the mozilla folder in %appdata% before reinstalling.
Uninstalled all security software (MS Essentials, Outpost) and attempted reinstalling with no security software installed at all.
Have installed other builds, including Minefield and Namoroka. No 32 bit builds 3.6.4 or later will open on my system. The problem does not exist with 64 bit builds.
I have reverted to 3.6.3 but do not want to be stuck on this version forever.

I am running Firefox 3.6.4 in Windows XP. I am using the Scrapbook (not ScrapbookPlus) extension to save web content. I want to edit the saved pages. I click the Scrapbook icon at the bottom right of my screen and put a checkmark next to "Edit Toolbar." Alas, no toolbar appears. Same result when I check "Edit Toolbar." Neither of these toolbars appears. I've researched this in vain for hours. Would appreciate any thoughts on how to solve.
