Firefox appears to working normally. However during the last two weeks I am getting a crash report everytime I exit Firefox normally. There doesn't appear to be any problem - just thye constant crash reports.

I just updated my FC14 installation. Firefox got kicked back to version 3. I want to install the latest version for all users on this machine. The only option appears to be to download the .tgz file but there are no instructions as to where to copy them, so all users get the update. Where can I find the RPM for the latest release?

bookmarks is not letting me save or do anything on it anymore. My Mac OS X is old and does not allow newer versions of ff. but has been excellent with this version until this sudden problem.

It is funny that I should always open a terminal and input ~/firefox to start my firefox. Don't you think so? Why don't you provide an rpm package to replace the the former version? At least you can provide a .sh to do this. Firefox sucks at user experience!!! Firefox sucks! Firefox sucks! I am moving to chrome

Currently running FF 3.6.24, Windows 7 operating system.

Every time I try to update firefox to a more recent version, they won't start. I can download the update installation file just fine, the installation process itself works perfectly, but afterwards when I try to start up firefox itself nothing happens. The browser window doesn't open, a tab doesn't show up on the taskbar, the only indication that the program even exists as anything outside the shortcut icon and program folders is that "firefox.exe" shows up in the processes tab of the Task Manager.

I've try restarting my computer after updating. I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the newer versions. Nothing works.

I get by comfortably with 3.6.24, but just the fact that I'm completely unable to use anything more recent is troubling. I would appreciate some help in at least understanding what's going on with this.

This is going to be a long post so please bear with me. Using ff3.6.28 on xp. Have 3 profiles. I use 2 of them daily. Awhile back i read an article on how to install another version of ff while still using an old one. I did it & tried ff9 awhile back, but didn't like it. I decided to try ff11 yesterday. Installed it with no problems, all my bookmarks, settings were automatically on it without having to use my mozbackup profile. I didn't create a new profile though. One site doesn't work on it nor do certain themes/personas. So for now, i decided to delete ff11. Eventually i'll use it permanently i know when i have time to find new personas/themes. I deleted the ff11 folder in program files. I have "firefox -p" along with a couple of other "run" commands i use. I tried to open the p-manager after the deletion, & it wouldn't open. I get an error msg saying it can't find it. Luckily i still have my main ff profile left. I'd like to recreate the other 2 profiles i had but can't since i can't bring up the p-manager. The other 2 profiles are still in my "%appdat% mozilla profiles" file.I searched the articles on this site but still can't come up with an answer on how to open up the p-manager. In hindsight i should've opened the p-manager & went into the profiles & deleted it there before deleting the ff11 folder. I didn't have this problem after i deleted ff9 awhile back. Again, sorry for the long post. THANX for your time/help anyone.

recently downgraded from ff 7x back to 3.6.24. all tabs are at top, where i want them. but when, for example, i click on an option like, "ask a new question," that tab also appears on the bottom of the page, in a separate line, beneath the quick launch bar. this occurs with any web site, e.g., nytimes [my home page], selecting a story results in two tabsl, one at top, and one below quick launch.

When I try to buy something from a 'shopping cart' with pull-down option, as soon as I click on the pull-down button, FF disappears. No error message, just crashes.

I recently updated FF to the newest version only to find that my fingerprint reader was no longer supported . . . unacceptable! I went back to an older version, and now I'm constantly being asked to upgrade.

I upgraded from Firefox 3.6.24 to 8 and everything went smoothly. I also use WOT, Adblock Plus and NoScript. With every reboot Firefox keeps downgrading to 3.6 no matter what I do and how I do it. I tired removing everything including the preferences and the folder in my Program (x86) folder and another in Owner\Appdata\Local. I tired a clean install of Firefox 8 into its own custom folder in Program folder did a reboot and I still had version 8. The next day I get a message asking to install Adblock and NoScript and version 3.6 is back again. Looking in my Program (x86) folder Firefox is in there. I had not put it in there, it was deleted, yet the install in the custom folder is still there. The exe in the (x86) folder is 1.9.2.4324 while the custom folder is 8.0.0.4325. Clicking on the second exe opens version 3.6. I am not the most computer skilled and some of the trouble shooting leaves me even more confused. I'm a wits end.

ok , I get a message when I go to shut down and is says a firefox program is still running, also if I go to change to a different site it will not let me go unless I reboot my computer. the only way I can go to another site is to bring up another firefox page. this causes me to stay in the first window the whole time I am using the computer, How the heck do I close out that bin that stays running. PLEASE

I have my FF security set to delete my cookies when I log off FF. I have a security setting to allow my bank, Chase, to load cookies, but I guess Chase's cookies get deleted along with all of them when I close FF. When I reload FF and go to Chase and enter my user name and password, I am bounced off and have to have them send me an authorization code which gets sent to me in an email and then I have to copy the code # and past it into a field on a special challange page along with my password. Finally I get to the log in page again and have to enter my user name and password all over. Is there any way to make certain cookies exceptions to being erased when I log off of FF? I do not want most cookies on my computer for obvious reasons. Is there an add on that will solve my problem?

When I make some searches about anything are always too many results for Brazilian sites that do not interest me at all. I am European Portuguese.

I downloaded the update no problem. After I click "Run" after the "Do you want to run this file?" window, I get a prompt asking which user I want to run the file as. The only account on my computer is my own, and I am recognized as Administrator. No matter what option I choose, once I click "OK," absolutely nothing happens. The update extraction does not proceed.
