I want to be able to read each and every http packet firefox is receiving. Basically I want to do this for troubleshooting a network problem.

I have found "live http headers" and httpwatch. Other than these does firefox have any inbuilt mechanism to view each packet?

Regarding the FF3.6 warning about support being stopped, I assume that people who have it on their machine can still use it as they used to. Please let me know if that's correct?

I needed to restore my computer to an earlier date, so I used system restore to do so. After restore, I am no longer able to start Firefox. A window appears saying we'e sorry, Firefox has encountered a problem and closed, etc. I cannot start it in safe mode either.

Every time i start writing a new email to send in Hotmail, i get an error message appear preventing me from continuing saying, 'Windows Live Hotmail was not able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report.' I don't get this problem with Windows Explorer?

this space takes up almost half the screen and whatever website i go on the space stays there and im unable to do things that i need, becuse of this problem i can only use half the page.

I'm not sure where to give feedback so I'm doing it here. Like others, I hate Firefox 4 - it is SO slow and since downloading it seemed to slow the whole operation of my laptop so, thanks to others answers I have managed to uninstall it and reinstall 3.6. PLEASE can the security up dates be kept going for 3.6 since 4 seems to ahve so many problems.

I have version 3.6.17. I just updated it. Today, something happened that caused me to lose my most recent session (which I had been reopening each time using Firefox). I've been trying to either restore that session of trying to find all the tabs I had. I have been looking at my browser history to find the tabs, but I've noticed that some of my history is missing. How is this possible? Is there any way to find the missing parts? I am also using Windows XP. Also, this happened June 23, 2011. Please help! I want to find my tabs again. Please help me! Thanks.

When using Firefox 3.6.17 instead of going to the MSN page when signing out of my live mail account I get a "server not found" pop-up instead of going to the MSN page. When I sign out of my Yahoo mail account I also get the "server not found" pop up instead of going to the Yahoo page. If I use IE8 to access my mail accounts I do go to the correct page depending on which mail account I'm signing out of. p.s. The same thing happens with my gmail account

The .aspx file came from a site. the gnome file browser says it's a PDF document. However, when I open it using document viewer, all I see is some sort of a frame, lines, clearly missing much text and figures. Do I need some plug-in which I'm missing?

I can log into hotmail but cannot open my emails or go to Sent items or anything. I have gone on the Hotmail Help Forum and MANY people are having the same problem. Hotmail say we should use Internet explorer and they do not really answer about using Firefox.

People using Firefox 3 and 4 are having problems.

Also, i downloaded Forefox 4.0.1 and it was not fully compatible with Kaspersky - has this problem also now been resolved?

In summary - is Forfox 4.0.1 NOT comaptible with Hotmail and Kaspersky?

recnnty got an update for logitec device detection which I have never heard of. Ifound it in my firefox add ons. Question is ,what is it and what is it doing there? In speaking to verizon tech people, one person said that everything is fine with my internet speed from their end, but live rss feeds slow down the connection. How do I delete the live rss feed from bbc at the bottom of the firefox screen?

Daily I receive a message for updating my Firefox (3.6.17 MacOs 10.6.8) but when I agree, it takes quite a long time and then OR a message: no contact with the update-server OR something like: Sorry we cannot find xxxxx(?!). on firefox startup I get two tabs... one for google (my home page) the other for plugin check. I go to tools/advanced and turn off startup check for plugins, the restart firefox... the plugin check tabe still appears. All of my plugins are up to date!!! How do I stop this auto plugin check from taking place each time I start up firefox? This never was a problem before, just started yesterday and I can't stop it.
