Whenever I open a new tab in the one window the home page for that tab is dito my Firefox homepage. How do I set the new tab to be the same page as my home page?I've been through all the FAQ's on tabs and homepage but nothing shows me how to do this.

When downloading Firefox 4.0, DigitalPersona Personal 4.11.3805 with DigitalPersona Extension 5.0.0.3790 (from Mozilla Firefox Add-Ons) is incompatible. Fingerprint swipes only open the DPP application's Home Page. I had to uninstall FF 4 and re-install FF 3.6.16 in order to utilize fingerprint logon recognition.
DigitalPersona will no longer support DigitalPersona Personal as is evidenced by the following email I received from PersonalSupport@digitalpersona.com:
"Thank you for contacting DigitalPersona. We are extremely sorry to inform you there will be no update releases for DigitalPersona Personal in the future. We are also sorry to inform you there will be no updates for Firefox 4 nor Internet Explorer 9. You certainly can try to use either one, if they work for you great!. If they do not work, you will have to decide to either keep DPPersonal and forgo Firefox 4 or IE 9, or vice versa. DigitalPersona, regretfully, is leaving the consumer market and is focusing on numerous business and legal applications. In fact, again sorry to inform you, DigitalPersona Personal will not be supported after Mid-April of this year."

I recently upgraded from Firefox 3 to Firefox 12 and immediately I get 5 to 10 higher ping times. When I reinstalled Firefox 3 the ping times went back down. Is there a reason for this? Is there a setting I can adjust? As a gamer I"m concerned about an increase in my ping times.

I just upgraded from Firefox 3 to Firefox 12 and immediately got 5 to 10 higher ping tests. When I reinstalled Firefox 3 it went back down immediately. Is there a reason? Did I do something wrong? Is there a setting I should switch? As a gamer I'm concerned about ping increasing for no apparent reason.
Is there a way to get Firefox to warn me before closing when I have downloads in progress? The lack of this feature makes me want to stop using Firefox altogether.

All of a sudden, when I put a subject in the Yahoo search engine, and I get all the "hits" listed, I can no longer just click on them and they go to the web site. NOW each time I get a box titled "Opening" that say "You have chosen to open" and then says things like "which is a: application/octet-stream' and "from: http//search.yahoo.com". Then "What should firefox do with that file?" and I can choose "Open with [Browse]" or "Save File" with an "OK" and "Cancel" button. When I try "Open with" and use Browse I get lots of choices but none of them will work. What changed? Do I have malware in my computer? I am ready to just give up on FireFox and move to Chrome, which works just fine. Any help out there????

Firefox won't open a new tab. It opens links on a new tab but if I try to open a new tab manually it does nothing. It was fine yesterday but not today.

Well i just tried to upgrade from 3.6 to 4.0 only to immediately discover this lost my ability to listen to eve radio.com. (streaming internet radio) Both FF versions had the same plugins and such enabled and up to date in particular the WMP addon, checked volume/mixer on the computer and site etc etc but gave up and uninstalled 4 and reinstalled 3.6. Not sure if its the windows media player not working with the new 4.0 or what, but i will be sticking to 3.6 until this works with the new version.

Can't print a 'selection' from an email in FireFox

Using FireFox ver 3.6.16 in Win7 64 bit. When I open my Livemail email and highlight a portion of that email, it will not print.
I choose 'print' from 'file', select 'selection' then 'print' and nothing happens. I can copy and paste the selection to Microsoft Word and it will print.
I can also open Livemail.com in Internet Explorer, highlight the portion of the email text, choose print under file, choose 'selection' and it will print with no problem.
There may be other web based stuff that will not print but we have not had this combination (Win7 and FireFox) long enough to know.
