After opening a second tab I cannot open first tab any more. The same happens after opening with the third tab. Then i can not open first two tabs. There after all new tabs can be opened and back to third and fourth tab is ok.

My history is gone. The sidebar (Ctrl+H) is entirely blank. The only thing there is the search bar and even that doesn't work. I didn't delete it or anything. I was going to a website and my history vanished before my very eyes. Everything is even gone in show all history (Ctrl+Shift+H). I restarted Firefox in safe mode and tried to find a problem that way. The sidebar was still blank. My bookmarks are fine. The history is completely gone. How can I get my history back?

I had to disable McAfee Site Advisor because if enabled I could not use the back and forth arrows on the browser in some instances. In trying to track this problem down I discovered there is a continuous problem reported in Event Viewer with this information: The entry <C:\USERS\CINDY\APPDATA\LOCAL\MOZILLA\FIREFOX\PROFILES\PV0GC0WS.DEFAULT\CACHE\_CACHE_003_> in the hash map cannot be updated.

Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details: A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x8007001f)

Can anyone please help with this?

I recently downloaded iMesh to get a few MP3 downloads. At first I was unable to uninstall the software--it told me it was in memory or in use and could not be removed. But it uninstalled today. It's off my computer, but it has hijacked my browser. When I click on a new tab, I get iMesh as a search engine. I want them off my computer! How can I revert my tabs to Firefox or Google? I went thru the steps to ensure that Firefox is my default browser.

When I click on a link in an email using gmail in the Mozilla brower, I get the following message at the top of the screen:

 "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page...[Allow].

How can I stop this?

Firefox did the automatic update to 3.6.16 and now it won't allow me to open a new tab. Page just refreshes if you choose 'File'-New Tab, and clicking on the tab icon doesn't result in anything. Have not noticed anything else that could be affecting how Firefox is working.

I can’t comment on Fox news, disqus is not responding. I have an account with Fox News and can login without trouble. When I try to comment or reply to articles a window will open and three dots will appear. At this point I should be able to type in a comment. The status line shows a number of servers at work but never completing a connection.

Firefox 4 became unusable. Firefox 3.6.16 is using about 110,00k of memory - but Firefox 4 was using, typically 160,000k but anything up to 200,000k causing my machine to hang as it struggled to find the memory.

The weird thing about the memory use was that it just kept on climbing - just a couple of tabs open, nothing special, but you watch the memory usage keep stepping on in about 200k increments.

There appears to be a major memory leak in Firefox 4, and until it is rectified it really is, for me, completely unusable. I had to use explorer to download 3.6.16 it was that bad.

Is anyone else having trouble with the back and forward buttons not working in FireFox 4? I installed 4 on an XP desktop and a Vista 64 laptop, and the forward and back buttons don't work on either installation. Does anyone know a fix for this? I tried deleting the "places" files in the profile and that does not help.

Ok , so wenever the main window of firefox closes before a pup-up ore a nothere session wich was opened bye acident i lose all my tabs of the main window.Now you will say why not look up youre history, some of those tabs were serese of manga ore anime i was waching so i mith not have progresed a page fore one month its prety hard to look all that up in the history(next to inposibele considering how much i browse one day fore work). So is there any way to recover a lost session? its actuly prety anoing wen it happens, i lose a lot of data and its anoing i just downt get it why a onetab session will take supperiorety to a 40+ tabs tession of firefox.

PLEASE help. I had a load of tabs open in my Firefox session which were really important. They were all open to reimind me of jobs I had to do.

I don't know what's happened now - but they're not there.

PLEASE - is there anyway I can get them back? Is the Restore Session tab somewhere in History

HELP FIREFOX!!

Two days ago when I logged onto my computer, I saw that the vertical scrollbar was no longer there. I rebooted my computer, and still there is no scrollbar. I am not sure what to do, but I really miss the scrollbar. Any advice?

Current version 3.6.16 I sometimes get notices about my browser being " An Old Version" The browser is working fine. Several Add-on's like: Add Block, Https Everywhere and Forced TLS Configuration have been added.

I like the current set-up. After visiting the Mozilla site, I noticed the new version looks different that what I have now.

1. If I chose to Upgrade will the Add-on's be available? 2. Will my book marks be kept? 3. What are the pro's and Con's?
