We run a business using Quickbooks and the backup file is on Drop Box - We use the office computer to access the Quickbooks files as well as does our Accountant and Bookeeper. I was able to access Drop box from my Galaxy Android Tablet also -- now it appears that the Tablet is lost or stolen. Can I reset my password to access the Drop Box or what other options do I have to cut off access from the loss Tablet?

I'm using twm on a new installation of Centos6.3, with Firefox 18.0. When I iconise the Firefox window the resulting icon bitmap (as used in twm's icons) is a rather large 256x256, rather than more usual sizes around the 16 to 32 mark.

I get the same effect with a remote session where twm is running on an older FC11 box but Firefox is running on the Centos one. In contrast, with Firefox 3.5.5 on the FC11 box the icon sizes are small as expected (and desired).

Investigating with xprop, I see that the _NET_WM_ICON(CARDINAL) property is set on the newer firefox and contains an entry for the 256x256 bitmap. It /seems/ like this bitmap is compiled in as renaming /usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/firefox.png did not change the situation, and that was the only large firefox icon that I could find in the filesystem. Is there any way to tell firefox not to provide this large bitmap as a potential icon for the window manager?

EDIT: A satisfactory workaround in my case was to use ForceIcons as explained by AndrewA below. After inspecting the TWM source I found that the window name matching could be done on the WM_CLASS data as well as the name, so simply using "Firefox" as the string to match against works. Thanks again to AndrewA.

I am using Firefox 3.5 version but speed is slow , specially when I use facebook ,diff content ,picture, video cannot be seen .How can I get more speed or How I can upgrade my present firefox to firefox20.01 version to get more speed as well as more feature to start browse smoothly?

I have a MAC, I was using OS X Leopard & Firefox wouldn't update because the OS was out of date or something to that effect. I've upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Firefox still hasn't updated. And there are sites I can't access until Firefox is updated and some sites I can't access using Safari! So I have to go back & forth, not fun!!

I tried to sign onto my Hotmail email account which I managed to do successfully. However, upon logging in a message came up asking me to upgrade my Firefox to the latest version. I clicked this option but the Firefox upgrade screen said my system does not support this Firefox upgrade. What am I to do? If I do not upgrade Firefox my Hotmail email account will not have all the necessary features needed to email someone

In trying to upgrade Firefox it said to uninstall Norton. I have not subscribed to Norton for over two years now. In the Uninstall program, Norton will not uninstall. I have clicked both uninstall and change and nothing happens, therefore I am unable to download Norton to upgrade Firefox. There must be an alternative method to uninstall Norton.

I have a very old Thinkpad 600x that has a Pentium III (coppermine) processor. The current system requirements for the latest versions of Firefox reference a Pentium 4.

I'm currently running 3.5.13. None of the current add ons work with this version. What is the last version of Firefox that will work with a PIII? Operating system is XP, SP3. I want to install some form of Ad Block, and none are compatible with 3.5.13.

I have a MAc running OSX 10.6 with plenty of memory space available and an intel dual core processor. I hav tried multiple times to download Firefox 18 and according to the "about" tab in the FF windo, I am current. However, multiple sites on the web inform me my browser is out of date. What next?

Firefox V18 is installed on a laptop running Windows XP, & has suddenly stopped working, after working ok since being installed. It now displays a blank page when you click on the homepage icon, plus entering a url brings up the word connecting, in the tab, but then displays a blank page with the words new tab in the tab at the top of the page. IE works ok, as does a portableapps copy of firefox 3.5.17.

I have tried re-installing V18.0.1, with no success, I have even tried uninstalling firefox, deleting all remaining folders & running a registry cleaner to see if their was anything causing the install to fail. Firefox still fails to work after all this.

The laptop has been kept uptodate with regards to upgrades, & I have tried doing a system restore to earlier breakpoints, but with no success. Any ideas? TIA

I'm getting a "cannot find server" popup, in the midst of my browsing. I'll close the window and it almost immediately pops back up. The prompt reads as:

"Firefox can't find the server at www.ƒÚ[-Öjº½îîÑ]Žxá+Ϭºgû°õ.com."

1. what is this jibberish-type address called? 2. how can I get rid of it?- i've used spyware programs and it remails

I have updated my computer to the 17.0.1 several times and I keep getting the message that I STILL need to update. I am getting sick and tired of doing this and if It will not work then I will delete Firefox all together. After installing the new version I have also restarted my computer each time as well

After the FF17.0.1 install I installed Firebug so I could test some things. Then I created bat files so I could run FF17 and my original FF3.5 separately and simultaneously.

However FF3.5 (using the profile originally from FF3.5, but briefly used in FF17) cannot see Firebug and any attempt to install Firebug ends up with nothing changed in the UI.

I've tried going down that list and trying the ones claimed to be compatible with 3.5: Firebug 1.5.4, 1.5.3, 1.5.2, 1.5.0. Each time it says it is installing it, asks me to restart Firefox for it to take effect, I click [restart], it does so, but Firebug never appears - neither the icon in the lower-right in the status bar, never under the Tools menu... not even in the Extensions list in the Add-ons dialog.

When I do "about:config" and "firebug" several things come up - the first being "extensions.bootstrappedAddons" and that includes an entry for firebug - bug it claims version 1.11.0 - of which there is none in the addon pages. I tried editing that to be 1.5.0 (last install) and quit/restarted FF, but to no avail.

I took a look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/unable-install-add-ons-or-extensions?esab=a&s=install+firebug&r=5&as=s But none of those are my situation.

Any other ideas?

I have done it more than 3 times, also have refreshed the firefox and restart the computer and nothing works. the latest version keeps downloading incomplete and cant use it.

I use firefox a lot and sometimes my hands must be very quick and I need short key I want to know is that possible to change short key to your wish in firfox? is that possible to change the right click menu short key to?

for example I want to change the short key for (copy image) that is (right click on picture and press Y)

I don’t like how new version firefox looks I mean they placed the tabs on top of the page and it is stupid because the address bar is the most important in a browser like a door for a house and in new version the address bar doesn’t have a good view and it is totally unusual and different of any other software even in windows address bar is just behind the tool bar but I don’t understand who came up with that idea and because of that I don’t like new versions. Can some body tell me is there any version that looks like version 3 or is there any way for me to changed the bars locations or using a theme or any thing please help me I want to go for new versions but I don’t like how they looks.

my firefox speed turned down from 2 days ago but before that it was ok and as the same as my bandwidth and my speed still is like before when i am using a download manager but in my forefox browser is turned down to less than the half. for example it used to download 30 kb every second but now is 5 or 10 kb per second.I Don’t think the problem is about the operator because it is good when I am downloading with download manager. You know it reminds me the problem I used to have when I was using IE 7 years ago and because of that problem I decide not to use IE any more and start using firefox .the problem was a virus named IE.exe or Iexplorer.EXE or something like that. That virus will turn down you internet speed to half when using the IE and I solved that with malwarebyte but I never used the IE from that moment any more.
