Just installed 18.0 on XP Pro on Desktop, now cursor extremely slow, hangs for several seconds, then jumps unpredictably. AWFUL!!!
Firefox 18.0 hangs for several seconds, cursor moves unpredictably. Very difficult even to exit. How can I revert to version 17.xx ??
When i click on some thing in my toolbar, it just says "An error occurred while loading the archive." It happens when i download something too! HELP!

I have uninstalled firefox from windows and re-installed using safari I still get this message, it has migrated to web sites I use like At&t ( my cell phone provider) how and why is this possable.

A box appeared in the UR corner of my screen, "Firefox 3.6.13 is available, with link to get it. Clicking the link, message is "there were problems checking for/dowloading/installing. . .because FAILED (UNK REASON). I can't get rid of the box. Went to Firefox site and downloaded version 8.0 but when I try to run it the message is "you must shut down Firefox" with an "ok" button. Firefox IS shut down but can't get past this point.

I have a strange request. My boss is hesitant to upgrade the to the most recent version of firefox in our office (I am running 3.0.8, some are as advanced as 4). I am trying to come up with concrete reasons to upgrade. We deal constantly with credit cards, and I think security would be the best tactic. Browsing stability would also be a good route. I'm clever, but not quite clever enough to compare old versions of firefox to firefox 8. Is there ANY chance someone could do a quick comparison that I could show her. I know it's a reach, but I'd really appreciate it.

The problem is, that the display is not physically accessible (i.e. no mouse) and so I have to start/stop Firefox remotely. I thing I know how to start it by "firefox -P...". The problem seems to be how to kill it cleanly. What I really need is a command line version of File->Exit mouse click. Any help welcomed

So I tried every thing I could But I don't think I can reach to my old windows System back. so I decided to reinstall Windows. a fresh copy. But the problem is I had bookmarked many useful sites in firefox, As you see I cant access it to sync them or do anything.. :( So this is the question.. 4 of HP SimplePass program firefox plugin does not work. this program is the fingerprint reader.
Firefox 3.6 was using previously. extension of the program was working smoothly. I did update and Firefox 4. fingerprint reader not working in Firefox now.
