My son did something to my computer and now I only have a google search window and no place to enter an actual website address. What did he do and how do I get the window back? Thanks!

I log into the internet banking website and click on the account I wish to see the statement for. The site takes me to another page to view the statement but there is nothing there to view. I got an error message the first time I logged into the site to get the statement, but this has now gone and I do not get the error message again, even when I have logged out and back in again. I downloaded the latest version of Adobe reader, and still no luck. I have been able to get these statements with no problems prior to today, 26th March 2013. I have not changed any other settings in Firefox or elsewhere, and I do not know where to go from here. I can view the statements on another computer. I have an iMac desktop running OS X 10.8.3

I can't get java to work with Firefox on my mac with OS 10.6.8. I did everything suggested and still no luck. Java is installed, enabled, and updated. I can't even activate java per site because I don't get the "click here to activate" box for some reason. Apple support said it's a firefox problem and they can't help me. I need to be able to use java!

I have had to revert to Firefox 12 because if I use Firefox 17 I cannot sign into eBay. Page says "not responding" I have always had all the new updates up to version 17, but obviously, if I can't sign into eBay there is no point in having version 17.

I just updated my browser from 5.0 (the best version I have ever seen) because it recently started crashing like crazy. Now, to get to any of the options I have to click a small box in the top left of the screen before I can go to file, edit, internet options etc... How do I fix it so that my tools are lain out before me like before as in across the top of my browser?

Also, of my tabs are across the tip top of my screen, how do I put them back across the top of my browsing page instead of at the top of the screen.

I do not understand what idiot thought that defaulting these to the places they did (as in further away and more work to get to in both cases) but I would like to know what I have to do to get them back to their normal locations.

Whenever I select text of a webpage a floating social media bar (share FB, G+, Twitter and Gmail) appears over the text - it's a distraction and I want rid of it. Any clues?

This applies to copying from any website, and pasting to any and all applications. This is exactly coincidental to install of 12.0. This is a basic, common, and essential function of any web browser. I've read various unacceptable "workarounds" in a couple posts, and am respectfully requesting a truly professional response from Firefox re: what exactly can be done to restore this basic, elementary function. I have been a major Firefox fan up until now, and need it to provide this basic functionality in a dependable way - simple right-click, copy image, and paste the image (not it's URL). Thanks for helping (hopefully).

now whenever i try to open batllefield heroes game it keeps asking me to dwnld again and again , the same thing for 500 times!!keeps telling that install plugin install plugin even though the add ons itself show that battlefieldheroes updater add on is installed ! please fix or i wud luv to start spreading all sorts of nonsensical shit (which is true ) about this butthole browser that i once used to love

With the new version(17) I can not get access to the website of my credit card provider MBNA. The screen remains blank although the icon is circulating, no matter how long I wait. All other websites seem OK. The access under previous version was OK. The main website is www.mbna.co.uk but in trying to access my account on line I have not been able to get beyond the initial log on screen using my normal bookmark as this remained locked. Can you say why? How do I get round the problem? I have tried your help but no success. No error messages are displayed.

Unfortunately, I now have a laptop with a McDonalds order screen (well, fixed that, back to a desktop and start button). I loaded FF as I was not going to get into the IE requirements. I do not like the latest FF that loaded. 19.0. Personal preference only. My good desktop, XP Pro, was recently updated to 12.0, which is not as friendly as the last version (personal preference only). Can I load 12.0 into Win8? I found one item in the FAQs on this, stated that 18.0 wouldn't load on 8, but that 17.0 would. All I need to know, before I try it, is will it work on 8?

I have somewhat limited functionality, something warm and fuzzy that I am more used to is what I need to find. Thank you much. Dave

The Adobe flash plugin 11.5 on Firefox 12 is not installed. Neither the separate download from Adobe works nor the download for the plugin in the section "addons" or when clicking on "this web page need an additional addon klick here to install".

And several web pages like Youtube, Facebook and others ask for installing the newest flash plugin.

I have tried everything to get rid off Babylon but it insists in came back as a leech, a desease or a begger... I lost many time reading the help orientations, changing preferences, unistalling... but it suddenly appear. I simply hate it. I would like to know if Mozzila will keep this nuisance in future versions, so I´ll change my browser...

I enter the URL of my website in Firefox- red page says my web page has malicious content. I have followed all the google webmaster instructions about cleaning the site (100% "healthy, done over 5 weeks ago, requested google to review page, google review complete). The red page comes up in all firefox access, regardless of the server I use or the PC I use. However the same page/site is 100% OK in Chrome, Safari, and IExplorer. Seems to be a Mozilla Firefox issue, not related to a particular PC or a particular service. How can I fix?

I have been using FF for some time. I seem to have lost the ability to drag the edges of the windows smaller. I also have IE, and can do it there...maybe I'm just confused, and never had the ability to do this in FF. Often, especially when typing in registration keys or serial numbers, I would drag the window up to read the data on the underlying window, if it would not allow copy and paste. Am I missing something?

XP Pro, SP3, AMD processor.

I was having issues with Videos playing so figured I had to update my Flashplayer, but when I tried to update it kept failing to install and on the Control Panel for Windows XP I clicked on the Flashplayer Icon and went to the Advanced Tab and it states that there are no ActiveX Control installed but I know I have ActiveX version 10 installed due to some Games I have installed on the PC. So I was wondering how FireFox worked with or around the ActiveX Controls. This is for my piece of mind and future reference as I do all my own Tech Support for my PC and am self taught through trial and error about XP. Am running an Intel Celeron processor, 697MHz with XP Service Pack 3, FireFox 12.0, 192MB of SD RAM. Yeah it's old but it works for what I do. LOL Anyway any info on this would be appreciated.
