When I click on the mminus sign on top right, this site is supposed to save to the firefox icon. But it does not and when I open another web page, the first one has disappeared. what do I do so that I can save websites

Would someone know how to tighten the space between lines in the bookmark toolbar? I'm really annoyed with the wasted space that force me to often scroll vertically when choosing a bookmark located in a folder on the toolbar. I find the spacing really reasonable in the bookmarks sidebar. How can I achieve this?

I remember in very old versions of FF (ante 4) that I was able to do so by manipulating the userchrome.css sheet but this option doesn't work anymore. There were also some really neat compact theme from this era but they too became obsolete with double digits versions of Firefox.

I am experiencing issues with no sound when watching flash-based videos in Firefox. It affects all YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and other websites as well.

It happens:

• When ads are displayed.
• When I click "pause" and then resume, the sound disappears.

To get the sound back it helps either to start the download from the very beginning, or to refresh the whole page.

A funny thing is that it's working in IE and Chrome, so I don't think it's anyhow related to Flash Plugin itself. The same happens to me at work and when I'm home, I doubt Flash videos would be blocked by company policy anyway, because lots of meetings etc. are published also on YouTube.

Issue started already some time ago, I tried to reinstall FF and all Adobe software, including Air and Flash, but so far no success.

I looked through lots of support articles and forums to get it sorted out and still the same. Anyone having similar issues there?

If you need any more details, feel free to ask. All assistance or tips really appreciated.

You know you have a search bar on the top left of FireFox there it nomally has Yahoo, Google, etc that you can select when searching for something. Well they dissappeared niether Yahoo Search or Google Search is there I didn't remove them they disappeared. I am running firefox 18. I don't know how to get them back when I click get more search engines there is no Yahoo or Google Search addon for the FireFox search bar. Please Help.

    I am constantly getting the error, "unresponsive script" on allot of web pages. I tried disabling allot of the addons, but I still get this message:

Firefox also freezes up when I go to a new page, but if I wait a minute, it will come back. Can anyone assist me concerning this problem? Thank You.

So I tried to make a firefox sync account years ago when it was first made, but I messed something up and never got the email confirmation to finish creating the account. I said "Forget this!" and went to do something else.

Yesterday I wanted to sync my desktop firefox with my new laptop, and tried to make a firefox sync account. I used my new primary email address, entered the account information and captcha in, and started the creation. The verification stage was taking a very long time, so I thought I had entered the captcha incorrectly, so I tried entering the captcha again.

That caused the verification to fail, and now I have another email address in firefox sync limbo. Is there anything I can do? I'm running out of email addresses! :\

Whenever I'm running any videos in Firefox 21, it runs fast and there is no audio. I've recently upgraded to Flash 11. I've tried downgrading to Flash 10.3 with Firefox 21 and even downgrading to Firefox 11. Also tried disabling the hardware acceleration from Flash plugin.

The problem still persists. The videos run fine in other browsers like Chrome and IE8.

Could anyone kindly help?

I just installed Firefox's newest version 21. I went to a website which required flash and it said I did not have flash installed. So I installed flash from adobe's website and it said it installed successfully I went back to the website after restarting my browser and it still did not work. I restarted my computer and nothing. I reinstalled flash again and it still does not work even though adobe is telling me it installed successfully.

I have a Mac mentor who gave me an old iBook out of the kindness of her heart and I've enjoyed using it very much. I can't afford to buy a new laptop.

I just changed to Broadband so I can get faster reception and watch videos and listen to audios on the Net. I want to copy videos from Utube, but I don't get continuous reception, but only longer segments than before with a jerk in between. There is a notice in the upper right hand corner of the screen that asks me to upgrade plug ins, but I fear that my 10.4.11 operating system will not support the upgrade. Do I have to and can I upgrade my operating system on an old iBook that was conceived in the early stages of Mac laptops or can I just upgrade the plug ins that I have?  I'm afraid to change what is there. Can someone help me do this myself without bothering my busy mentor with something that I ought to be able to do myself?

Good day. I have a question for Firefox add-on's wed site. An add-on is out dated, or there is a problem with the add-on. You try to contact the add-on's writer, but there is no contact information in their profile page, and the home page information is no good. Is there a way for the web site administrators to contact the writer?

I am looking for a way to disable the automatic jre version check in ubuntu. Running Firefox 19 and ubuntu 10 on ThinPro thin clients. Currently using an SSL VPN connection which requires JRE to be installed. The problem is that everytime a new version of JRE is released when network connect is started as part of the vpn connection the JRE version check will crash the browser window and the option box to tell Firefox to do JRE later is not left on the screen. It is not a quick user download and install on Ubuntu so our users are not allowed to click on an install option anyway. What I am looking for is a way to disable the version checker until we have tested the new version and have an image made that we can deploy to users thin clients so they do not run into this issue. I've been searching for a switch or something I can add to a config file or somewhere to disable the automatic JRE version check.

I've tried everything, cannot determine how it got there, how to remove. It is impossible to work within a web site with this wide side bar covering at least 2-3 inches. Is it somehow connected to Conduit search engine?

McAfee siteadvisor works on Internet Explorer Browser. I have Verizon Internet security suite which has the above program on it. It has run in pass once in awhile but is had to get to work. I have read that this soft has a problem running with Firefox and is there any fix for this ?
